About:

 

For as long as Ira can remember she's been visiting the hospital almost every other day in order to do a check-up. By the time she hit 5 years old the doctor talked her parents into letting her live there. At first, things were great. The nurses played with her, the doctors gave her ice cream and her parents visited everyday. As time went on though things began to go more and more down hill. The nurses stopped playing with her, the  eventually the doctors only came to see her for check-ups. The final straw was when her parent stopped coming all together. Mrs. Logan, one of the nurses, started to notice Ira loneliness and introduced her to the world of gaming. Immediately Ira fell in love with it. She was able to explore places she only dreamed of and got to meet friends of everywhere. Eventually Ira returned to life. 

 

When SAO came out it was originally designed for kids 14+. The nurse knew this and still bought the game for Ira knowing that it would help the girl's mental state. The nurse had no idea that she had bought Ira a death game.  

 

 

 

Virtues:

 

 

Curiosity: Since Ira has spent most of her life in the confines of blank white walls, she tends to be very curious about objects and things outside of them. Sure, she's been home schooled, but learning about it is not the same as actually experiencing it. Curiosity is also something that stems from wanting to learn more about what is around her. 

 

Joyfulness: No matter the situation Ira has continued to smile. There was a time when that smiled disappeared, but thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Logan that smile was able to return. Ira is the kind of kid that now looks at the glass half full. This is not only due to Mrs. Logan, but due to the friends that she met online. They supported her and taught her valuable lessons. 

 

Bravery: Certainly not stupid, but braver than most. The only reason for this is because she already knows that either way her life will come to an end. With nothing to live for it makes her more her more likely to take that risks that will get her hurt or killed. 

 

 

 

Flaws:

 

Naive: Due to the way she grew up Ira is very innocent to the world outside of the hospital walls. She lacks the worldly experience and understanding that most people gain growing up. This makes her very trusting of those she meets, even though sometimes those intentions are not always in her best interest. Also believes the good in people.  

 

Childish: Ira is still a child. This means that she is by no means mature in any possible way. After all, she only ten years old. This trait probably developed from the fact that Mrs. Logan and her would mess with each other all the time. 

 

Closed-off: If asked about her life in the real world, Ira will avoid the question at all costs. She doesn't want people to know that she's sick. She doesn't want people to know that she's in pain. She doesn't want sympathy. She just wants to be treated like a normal kid with a normal life, not like someone who is dying. She's afraid that if someone finds out they'll either try and restrict or leave her. One is no worse than the other.
