He winked to show he was joking as he opened up his menu and selected his bread, it was rather bland but there was nothing really wrong with it and it healed him. Jun seemed to think he could join the guild rather easily so nodded, he would have to pm the guild master later. He hadn't noticed before but he'd levelled up a lot from just two fights which gave him an idea "Want to fight something bigger together?" He laughed and started walking, Jun soon came upon quite a large cave, stepping inside there was a dampness to it, as if the walls were lined with something, it was also quite humid inside the cave. He pulled out his sword and traversed onwards into total darkness, "Be careful there might be something in here." Jun was right, there was a large serpent in this very cave and it slithered out and faced Jun and Aki. "God... That is one ugly looking snake." He followed Jun to a rather sizeable cave, it was quite humid inside and he was on guard, he pulled out his rapier and walked back to back against Jun so they couldn't be caught by surprise. Well, that was the theory, it was pitch black so it wouldn't help anyway, they could at least give the illusion that they could see in the dark. He nodded in agreement to Jun's warning and sprung around when he commented about a snake, he tutted because he wasn't having much luck hitting a boar and a snake would be worse. Still, he would never hit it by sitting around and being nervous. He bit the bullet and thrust straight at the snake, it tried to dodge to the left but his rapier still nicked it, it felt good to get the first hit in a fight. He gripped his sword tightly and ran towards the snake, yelling as he slashed down, cutting it open and leaving a large gash in across it's body. "Take that you bloody snake" The snakes eyes shrunk as it squealed in pain due to the two attacks, it uncoiled and launched its tail towards the two, Jun shoved Aki out of the way but he was hit by the tail and sent flying back against the wall. saoant 0 Posted December 14, 2014 #45 Share Posted December 14, 2014 ID: 4565 Battle: 9 Saoant was so busy feeling proud of himself he didn't notice the snake launching it's attack, the first indication he had was when Jun pushed him out of the way. He watched in horror as Jun was sent flying into a wall by the snake and cried out "Jun, are you okay?" He then swiftly turned his attention back to the snake and remarked "Damn snake" it was almost half dead judging from its health bar so hopefully Jun wouldn't be hurt too much more. Keen to end the fight he launched another thrust towards the snake, this time it connected cleanly, piercing completely through the snake. He learned his lesson from last time and swiftly jumped back out of its range. Cave Serpent Stats: Health: 5/12 On a 10 roll it paralyses its target for a turn Link to post Share on other sites
Fallen 0 Posted December 14, 2014 Author #46 Share Posted December 14, 2014 Rolled 3 on Battle Die Rolled 5 on Mob Die ID: 4567 Jun was still a little dazed from the blow to the head, he stumbled around a little bit and took a slash at the large serpent, missing it fully and falling flat on his face, that seemed to bring him back to his senses. The serpent brought its tail up into the air and slammed it down onto the ground, Jun, who had just regained his senses rolled out of the way, the ground shook right next to him as he jumped up and rejoined Aki towards the entrance to the cave. Spurred on by his desire to protect his friend he launched another thrust towards the ugly snake, once again he managed to hit it although this time it was just a nick and the snake seemed rather annoyed. Anxious not to put his friend in danger he jumped back again and decided to try and spur his friend on "You know that snake is kicking your arse right?" The snake had different plans however and bit into Jun's arm, causing several snake teeth sized holes to form in his arm. He yelled in pain and fell back onto the floor, he tried to get up but couldn't move, "Wh..What....The...Hell?" He was paralysed, he tried to turn to Aki, "Thi..This...Bloody..Thing...Had...Poison...On...It's...Fangs" He could barely talk, it took most of his energy just to do that. Still, he wasn't prepared for it's effect, his friend fell backwards on the floor and appeared to be in a great deal of pain. He wasn't just going to sit back and let the guy take the hits any more. He attempted to charge forwards and stab the snake but it manoeuvred out of the way before it could be hit. Seeing as his attack had failed he stood in front of Jun and spread his arms out to protect him. Link to post Share on other sites

The snake brought its tail up into the air, poised to attack when a rock fell down and smacked the snake on the head, stunning it, making its tail drop next to him. Jun struggled to let out a laugh, "Take..That..Snake.." He turned to Aki, "Now's..Your...Chance" Even if Aki missed it would still give him a chance to recover and then Jun would finish him off. He was actually quite stunned something like this could happen himself and needed Jun's prompting to get him to attack, he made an amateurish thrust towards the snake which surprisingly hit. Not knowing how long his friend would remain immobilised he stood firm in front of him. Rolled 8 on Mob Die ID: 4780 Jun was starting to regain control over his body, he just twitched his fingers at first and then started to individually move his limbs. After moving around on the floor for a bit he stood up and shook for a little bit to remove the last remaining numbness. Jun picked up his sword and ran at the snake again, but this time the snake was ready and it smacked Jun away with it's tail. "Arg, just my luck that as soon as I recover it does as well." Akio looked at his health bar and decided he should take hits instead now and said as much "I'll take some of the hits, the way you're going you'll be almost dead and we need somebody to take out the demon boars aka mid bosses" he joked as he made a thrust towards the snake. He jumped back and turned to his friend "You know if we had girlfriends this snake would have died long ago right?" He was half joking, he genuinely believed having a girlfriend made you perform better in battle, kinda like a lucky charm and motivation rolled into one. The snake went silent as it started to disintegrate, he laughed and held up a triumphant fist, "We did it!" Congratulations You gain! 1 Performer Material "Oh well, can't win it all, I'll give this to my performer friend." You can have the mats, I've got three so far and I can't really do anything with them.
