Arekkusu looked the NPC straight in the eyes. This wasn't the opponent he wanted to see again, the last time they fought, Arekkusu almost died. But this time... he had a bit more of an advantage. He could take this thing on and easily loot it of it's life and money. And he has grown a lot more, he shouldn't be as much of an emotional wreck as he was before. Anything could happen however.

 

"Hello player." The NPC said Arekkusu. "Would you like to duel me? I'll make sure it is worth your while, if you beat me you may have my items . If you lose, then don't worry about it, nothing is at stake for you."

 

Arekkusu knew that was completely the opposite of the truth. But he wanted to do this, so when the blue screen appeared with an option, he clicked on the blue circle. He was ready to fight the NPC, who seemed to be taking the form of Arekkusu already.

The NPC then turned himself into Arekkusu, a lot more threatening of an Arekkusu than even Arekkusu could imagine. This wasn't going to be as easy as Arekkusu thought. However, he did seem to lack the items Arekkusu had, such as a sweet armor plate on his chest and an even better looking scarf. But the main key, The Rising Edge was also not present, and that was the worst mistake anyone could make if they wanted to mock Arekkusu.

 

"We will be playing for keeps." The Gemini said to Arekkusu, who held his blade up defensively. The Gemini's voice most certainly sounded like Arekkusus, but what can Arekkusu do about that? "You've accepted my total loss duel request, lets see if you could handle yourself, then your prize for winning will be your life."

 

The two of them then stood, ready to start a battle that both knew was going to take place. It wasn't just one of them, it was both of them. Two Arekkusus, one real, one fake. Lets see how this plays out, hopefully in the real ones favor.

Arekkusu started the battle off, it was too easy to predict himself. There was much luck in his enemies movements when it was compared to Arekkusus. It didn't completely know what he thinks and why he thinks the way he does. That's another advantage for Arekkusu right there, now the power might not be so fun to deal with. This could be a complete disaster if Arekkusu gets hit, he was designed to be a powerhouse as well as a tall-standing health tower. And it wasn't like his opponent wasn't like that either. Arekkusu then hit the Gemini, who's face resembled Arekkusus when Arekkusu took major amounts of pain.

 

"Damn it." The Gemini said, mocking Arekkusus voice when he took damage. Arekkusu didn't approve of that, but he did some damage at least, this battle seemed easier than last time.

 

"Oh shut up." Arekkusu replied. "Be a man and fight."

Arekkusu then looked at his opponent, who seemed to be smiling insanely. It seems to look like Arekkusu mad, that wasn't good! Arekkusu braced himself, but all of a sudden, the Gemini was right behind Arekkusu. Arekkusu ducked a swing, but then was kicked into the air. The Gemini jumped up at Arekkusu and sliced at him from above, sending him to the ground and breaking it for every bounce on the ground.

 

"You won't be living." The Gemini said as he hit the ground again. Arekkusu flipped onto his feet quickly, making sure his downed body wasn't going to take hits.

"Maybe you should shut up Arekkusu." Arekkusu said to the Gemini, not losing sanity. He had a lot more self control than last time, but it would only be a certain amount of pressure before Arekkusu begins to crack. He had to kill the Gemini quickly before it could do that. Arekkusus blade danced with the Gemini, the battle still very much alive. The blades flew fast, both of them knowing each others moves. Finally, they both struck each other, Arekkusu not even flinching, the Gemini struggling a little bit. Arekkusu pushed his blade forward even further and lifted his blade in the air, carrying the Gemini with it.

 

"Before I rip that mouth off of yours that is." Arekkusu said, finishing his sentense.

Arekkusu then threw him by swinging the blade to the side. Arekkusu didn't feel fear for the enemy, it was nowhere near good at fighting compared to Arekkusu. He knew how Kiru felt now, not even believing that this is worth his time, then again, Arekkusu gave her a good run. The results of course ended fairly, and it was most certainly the way that people expected to end at the end of the fight. Arekkusu then felt a sword hit him from the side, a bit of blood coming from his side, but it wasn't too painful.

Arekkusu felt the blade pierce him once again, this time he felt a little bit more pain pulsing through him. Arekkusu however decided to hurt him via blade. He jumped back once again. The Gemini got to him a little bit, the fields are all evened up again. This will be the beginning of the end for the Gemini. Arekkusu is about to go on a rampage. Charge is ready for the opponent.

Arekkusu activated his favorite skill, Charge. The one charismatic attack Arekkusu used with speed and power. The Gemini attempted to do the same thing, but there was only one arekkusu would could master this deadly attack. Both of their blades glowed, Arekkusus with Blue, The Geminis with Red light. They were so different despite their looks and voices. Arekkusu knew this, and he used this to his advantage. Both of them blended into the air with their speed, then they returned with two different results. Arekkusu wasn't even touched, the Gemini was on his knees coughing out blood.

The Gemini, then laughed. Arekkusu braced his mind this is where the mind games begin. The blood dripping from the Geminis mouth looked nasty, and it was worse because it looked like Arekkusu was spitting that blood out. That was just a nasty sight in Arekkusus eyes. Arekkusu sheathed his blade, making sure his resistance to the Gemini was ready. He wasn't going to fall for anything anymore, the last quest ended up with Arekkusu just being lucky, now he is using tactics.

"Well tell me about your girlfriend." The Gemini said to Arekkusu. "And why haven't you seen her for a while huh? I mean there has to be a ceratin reason why?"

 

Arekkusu wasn't phased, this wasn't the first time someone judged him and Kitty and Arekkusu being a couple. And he certainly didn't give a damn about it, he loved her and she loved him, no one else will try to prove them wrong. They will spend their entire lives trying to find a way around it but there is no denying it. They loved each other and that was final.

 

"I don't have to tell you anything." Arekkusu replied.

"Well what about..."

 

"I know about all of your bull and tales." Arekkusu replied, cutting off the Gemini and sending back the game that he tried to play with Arekkusu. "I also know that you don't exist, you're in a video game! Wake up! You are not even real! Your existance means nothing to me or the game itself! Your death means nothing, I won't be a player killer for killing you! Don't you dare try guilt trip me, I know all your tricks you prick so why don't you accept loss like a man and at least have something to live for in the end of your pathetic life, not that you truly have one you Binary Coded piece of s**t!"

The two of them just stood there, staring at each other. Arekkusu played the role that the Gemini was trying to play. And it seemed to work, the Gemini noticed that Arekkusu was a player, but not himself. He knew that only players are human, he didn't have a past. He was designed in his own way. What could Arekkusu do then to him? It all depends on what the Gemini does this time.

 

"I'm... not... real?" The Gemini asked with shock in his voice.

"You aren't real!" Arekkusu exclaimed, once again just to make sure that the message bolted its way in. The Gemini didn't seem angry, but rather shocked. What could he say, he was like the Disney Puppet Pinochio (I don't care how it is spelt, I'm not googling it.)

 

"Then... why am I here?" The Gemini asked, not with sarcasm, but actually curiousity. "I feel, I sense, I can even felt. So why am I here if I am not even real... what am I? What is this?"

"This is how the real world is." Arekkusu explained, this time lowering his voice. He knew that the Gemini wasn't screwing around with Arekkusu right now, if he was, Arekkusu would've had him down and out a long time ago. But that's not the case, Arekkusu can sense the presence of liars. He wasn't one, but he had been lied to plenty of times. Reality did suck, they both had to endure much. Once again, Arekkusu realized that the programmers gave characters feelings. That really sucked... but there was nothing anyone could do about it.

"Sorry man, but we have a battle to finish." Arekkusu said to the Gemini as he raised his blade up once again. "And I do intend to finish it. Once you respawn, I'll let you think over about it, but for now, we're enemies, so put your blade up at me and continue fighting me, I'm not going to win via deafult. I play to win."

 

Arekkusu then ran at the Gemini, who readied himself for Arekkusu, because the both of them started dancing with their blades, neither of them landing hits. The Gemini grew a lot faster in it's speed, Arekkusu was impressed, but it wasn't fast enough to pass Arekkusu himself.

The Gemini actually got to Arekkusu though, and he didn't seem to be taking the news too lightly, Arekkusu actually spat out some blood when he took the strike to his stomach. Arekkusu forced kicked him off and sliced the Geminis face to the right side, dealing a massive amount of damage at him. Arekkusu was almost done, all he had to do was land a few more strikes on the weakened Gemini and the battle could be finished, or... rather... would be finished.

The Gemini didn't seem to take the news too well, but the truth is the truth, and Arekkusu couldn't do anything. Knowing that your life is a lie... not even real... that's not even right. That is one of the saddest things to ever discover, but there is no way to change it. So the Gemini will have to get up on its feet, besides, if it dies, it's not like it will just escape the problem. It will just respawn with the same quest, it's the same old story. No matter what it wants to do, it can't do anything about the truth.

The Gemini kept on swinging, faster was it going. It wasn't even trying to mimic Arekkusu, it was rushing with its own style that Arekkusu couldn't quite predict. What does he do then? Well... Arekkusu didn't even know how to counter attacks he never saw, now this was a new advantage the Gemini had in the battle. Arekkusu kept the blades dancing though so he could search for an enemy. However, neither of them were able to land hits, not even close. The tug of war continued with no decisive winner yet.

Arekkusu then felt the anger pierce through his chest, the Gemini got him, but Arekkusu couldn't escape. The Gemini held Arekkusu up with his blade, but Arekkusu used that moment to force his body off and land on the grass. Arekkusu tried to counter, but the attack was blocked, the tug of war began to happen once again, which wasn't good. They were back in the same fight they were in that got Arekkusu hurt.

The sword swordsmen couldn't get a grip on each others flesh, Arekkusu gaining a bit of leverage with every hit though. It would only be a small amount of time before the time is right and control will shift to him. This time, the Gemini was attacking with it's attack patterns, not Arekkusus. It wanted to prove its free will, not accepting the truth. It just wasn't real, and it's not like the game developers cared about its existance. IT was designed to be killed, hence why it was even a quest boss.
