He tailed the group until the one Little Nepent he was wanted wandered off. It got farther into the forest making it sure to be alone. After getting closer to the Little Nepent, Shinex confirmed that it had a flower on its head. He gripped onto his scimitar tightly and picked up a rock. He made his way to a tree and climbed it. He snuck towards the end of the branch and threw the rock. The Little Nepent faced where the rock as thrown. Its back was facing Shinex.

Shinex jumped down causing the Little Nepent to be alarmed. "Oh crap!" The Little Nepent swung a vine at Shinex. Shinex deflected the attack with his sword.

Shinex countered by jumping in and slashing the monster's mouth. The Little Nepent let out a cry and got ready to attack Shinex.

The Little Nepent swung both vines at Shinex. Shinex didn't know what to do which caused him to get hit by both vines.

Shinex managed to keep his balance from the effective attack. He ran towards the Little Nepent, deflected both vines that were being swung at him and sliced through the monster.

The Little Nepent recovered and turned around. It charged Shinex and got its vines ready. It swung with both vines once again. Shinex predicted where the vines would hit and evaded the attacks.

The Little Nepent couldn't recover from its attack leaving it vulnerable. Shinex ran towards the face, slashed it 6 times then jumped back. The Little Nepent shattered and a screen popped up in front of Shinex. It was the needed quest item. "Yea!"

Shinex ran towards the village that gave him the quest. He frantically looked around for the quest giver. When found, the quest giver was handed the flower. In return, Shinex received the Anneal Blade. Shinex stored the blade in his inventory and walked away from the village. Looks like people were right. This was a straight sword instead of a curved one. Shinex walked the grassland towards Starting City to finish up what he wanted to do. He was happy he completed his first quest. He just hopes that other quests won't take as long as this one.
