He was born to a single mother who due to the need of money to keep them fed, he was always home a lone while she worked. Hakora dreamed of breaking from from that life, but there always seemed to be something stopping him. In his younger years he was socially awkward which made most people not like him and his friends were very shallow and slowly grew away from him. Once he reached High School he moved to a new town and began to break out of his shell. He was still a bit odd, but he was more accepted and began to get involved with sports and other after school things. The reason for his oddness was his home life. Before High School began his mother met and married an abusive man who would constantly berate him and tear him down. He graduated High School middle of his class and was kicked out of his home to live with his grandparents. He began going to a University in the area to study psychology and philosophy. He was at the college for two years when his grandfather who was sick passed away in his arms. This sent Hakora into a depression and he flunked out of college and had to go to a Community College. He now studies there to become a teacher. Though Hakora has had a harsh life, his personality is usually beyond cheerful. He can be talkative, or listening and enjoying everyone's company. He like to read poems in SAO and enjoy the beauty of the game just as much as he enjoys fighting. By looking and talking to him you would not know he had a bad past because he has worked hard to overcome it, but joining SAO is his way of escaping his thoughts that no one knows.» Virtues: Honor- Though he will do whatever it takes to protect a friend even if it is wrong, he has a code that is commonly know as the Code of Chilvery. His code of honor is that he is a lion in battle and will let nothing stand in his way, but when he is not in battle he must present good and above standard manners. Courage- He is brave and is the first to charge in, but not to a reckless degree as he is aware of what he can and cannot handle. He is also not afraid to stand up for what is right even if he is the minority. Even if the majority is sticking together, Hakora will break away to defend the weak even when it is no benefit to him. Integrity- Alongside honor he is a man who will not sacrifice who he is to survive SAO. He refuses to lose himself to the game. How people view him is important to him so he will strive to only provide a good view of himself, but this can also go too far and become a flaw.» Flaws: Mild PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)- Due to his abuse and watching his grandfather die he suffers from nightmares at times and will breakdown of stress becomes too much of if his friends are dying around him Sarcastic - At times he can be so sarcastic that you have no idea if he is being serious or kidding. This tends to make people untrusting of Hakora. His sarcasm also at times seems to make him uncaring or his way to escape situations he doesn't want to be in. When he feels nervous and out of control he has a hard time turning of this sarcasm. Self-Critical- He gives himself a hard time and sometimes believes he isn't good enough which leads him to depression or doubting himself and it can over power his courage.
