Kirishima Eito is just your ordinary 16 year old boy. Average grade, average looks, average personality, average presence.. He is normal except for his apathetic attitude. He described the world as a boring place and spent his time at home locked in his room laying in bed. He is used to this kind of lifestyle and didn't mind staying that way.

One day his sister, Kirishima Yuzuki, invited him to play a game called Sword Art Online when she saw her brother doing nothing. She said it's better than lazing around all day. Eito knew how stubborn his sister was and decided to play for thirty minutes only. But that thirty minutes changed his life forever when everything went wrong.

Protective?

Yuzuki's favorite quote was "It's fine to let yourself be hurt as long as the others remain safe and sound." He lived to his sister's words and won't hesitate to risk his life to protect others.

Cool-Headed

Probably because of his apathetic personality but it's a rare sight to see him panic. Even when he realized he was trapped in a virtual world he was like : "So what?" when everyone went chaos. He may seem like a 'calm and content' type of person but if he's angry he can lose his control. It's not going to end well for him and the others.

Go with the Flow...

Again, it may be caused from his apathetic personality. He prefers to follow what others said. Mainly because "it's too troublesome to argue" he said. Even if it deemed wrong he would express his disapproval once then stay quiet. He knows some people, like his sister, are very stubborn. It's useless to argue with these kind of people.

Suicidal?

As mentioned above he is protective and willing to risk his life. Actually there's no noble intention in his sacrifice. He often wishes he die when protecting others to satisfy his ego. Sometimes he just wants it all to end so he can meet his sitter again and apologize for being a lazy bum all day thus got her killed. Her sister's will for him to survive and his vengeance are the only things that prevent him from crossing the line.

Grudge Holder

One of his purpose when playing SAO is to track and eliminate the PKs who killed his sister. He holds grudges and won't easily let something go unpunished. He hates PK but won't mind to become one if he can kill his vengeance targets.

Eye for an eye. Tooth for a tooth. Lives for a life.

Apathetic

Eito didn't completely turn into a different boy. Not as much as when everything was still normal but he retains his iconic personality. His apathetic attitude of things is still a part of him that may never disappear. At least now he spends more time outside more compared to his hikikomori days.

Prologue: To Protect Everybody and Avenge Somebody

When all the madness started, Yuzuki swore to protect her beloved brother from any harm. She felt bad Eito has trapped in SAO because of her. Eito didn't care. But Yuzuki insisted Eito to stay in their inn and let Yuzuki do all the job until someone from outside world figure out how to get them out of Aincrad. Eito didn't complain and continued his life in SAO like in real world. Yuzuki would go every morning and returned in the evening with groceries and some Col. Eito didn't have to do anything. He seldom went out of their inn.

Before something forced his hikikomori life. Yuzuki went out to do some farming. As usual, Eito paid no attention to Yuzuki's goodbye and continued gazing through the window. He hoped Yuzuki would bring enough Col to buy food for the week. Strangely, his sister didn't come home. He thought his sister would be okay, as she's strong. After all her sister is quite popular as a good tank. That day when he went to the market to do some shopping he accidentally heard a rumor about the recent PK players appearance in F4. It seems they killed a party when they were busy farming. F4.. What?! It's where his sister had went to the previous day! Without thinking Eito rushed to Monument of Life and to his horror, Yuzuki's IG name was written on the monument. He couldn't believe what he saw. As digital tears flowed from his eyes he decided something. He would follow his sister's path as a tank, protect other players, and kill the PKs who murdered his sister. Slowly. Painfully. And certainly.

Ch. 1 : Re:Start

Eito has just started getting the swing of things. He was a bit late compared to all other players because he slacked off when Yuzuki was still alive.
