Adriane Seraphine Chevalier is the only child of two English couple living in Japan. Her father was a British ambassador and apparently her mother came from an old noble family in England. Before she moved to Tokyo two years ago she lived in her mother's household. There she was practically choked with lessons. Morning : etiquette and classic swordsmanship; afternoon : music lessons, Chevalier's family history, and school; evening : school and private lessons; and finally dancing lesson at night. Her life repeated on a cycle she never had any time for herself.

Adriane's family moved to Japan when she was 16. During her high school years she learnt what she didn't get in Chevalier household's lessons : emotions. She became livelier and humane in a lot of ways. Adriane kept it from her parents, fearing that they might deport her to England if they deem her not graceful enough for a Chevalier family heiress. When the NerveGear was released, her father brought her for an interview about the international response of the breakthrough. As usual she was standing next to his parents, giving answers complimenting Mr. Chevalier's opinions, pleasing everyone's ears. She didn't expect for a journalist to challenge her to wear the NerveGear as a symbolic act. The manufacturer has provided a set of NerveGear along with a custom vanity clothing item as a bonus. She had no choice. She picked the NerveGear, sat on a chair, closed her eyes, and slowly said in Japanese : "Link.. Start!"

Knowledgeable

Her brain was programmed with God-knows-how-many lessons since she was little. From basic things like martial arts, subjects years ahead of her age, and even how-to-lift-your-teacup-and-sip-the-tea lessons. She knew strength isn't all it takes to survive in this world and relies on wits more. That is if she's not angry.

Elegance is an attitude

In the beginning of her etiquette lesson, she learnt the basic : self-control. She kept her elegance and good manners even when insulting someone. Even if she's mad she won't go as far as using violence to solve it. Her ladylike manners are inseparable part of Lady Adriane Chevalier.

Adriane think she likes to mind her own business. Her actions proved otherwise though. She can't resist helping troubled people when she sees fit to the extent of sticking her nose in people's private affair. Maybe just curiosity or over-righteousness. Or as she quoted Spiderman, "A great power comes with a great responsibility" referring to her skills

» Flaws:

Short tempered

Adriane's personality has changed thanks to her friends in Japan but perhaps it didn't go as they wanted to. They wouldn't imagine an imprisoned quiet lady would become so scary when she's mad. And unfortunately that happens quite often. She's not used to punching (tho she knows savate) but her tongue is sharper than her sword.

Pride of the princess

Adriane lives with her chin lifted high, almost arrogantly. She inherited a Chevalier's confidence and pride amongst the other things she didn't. She has high self-esteem that often makes her do reckless things, whilst believing in herself that she will survive the day. She likes to think that she is better than others be it mobs or players. If her pride is hurt by failing or embarrassing herself she tends to sulk.

Stubborn

You can argue with Adriane for hours but you won't be likely to change her mind. That's how stubborn she is. It's a part of her pride to trust her judgment more than people's. She will stick to her guns until proven otherwise. Or until she gives up to someone who is even more stubborn than her.

Adriane has been taught in Chevalier style swordsmanship skills. Although classified as sword skills these techniques aren't listed as official game skills. Most of the time successful skill execution deals more damage than usual, or Crit (on 9-10 BD). The Chevalier style skills put a lot of strain on the body so Adriane rarely uses them.
