He had always been A smart child, but had always half-assed it due to not being properly motivated. His father, an experienced doctor at their local hospital, placed his son in a summer program to ease him into his line of work. Rikimaru, fascinated by medicine, was only so happy to be placed in such a program. He was fascinated by medicine. Not the healing aspect, but the darker nature of it. How wounds healed, the anatomy of diseases and how they ravaged the human body. During his stay there Rikimaru had perfect marks across the board, the staff enjoyed him, and his father was very proud. Proud enough to reward his son with a present. The new Nerve Gear and its newest title Sword Art Online would be releasing within the week. As a present he bought Rikimaru one. Being a giddy eighteen year old, he tried it out within the first hour he got it, unknowingly placing himself into the death game with thousands of others. Now he fights for his life inside the game. » Virtues: Rational- thinking about what to do in a calm way, and making sensible and intelligent decisions.Being the son of a doctor and also studying medicine himself, Rikimaru was always taught to follow the facts and known truths, instead of having blind faith or a 'gut' feeling. Sharp- Intelligent and quick to notice or react to something. Along with his growing suspicion about his fellow players, Rikimaru has learned to observe every move around him. There is no telling how much a misplaces whisper is worth, or how harmful a slight shift in posture can be in the future. Always be prepared. Courteous- Polite or respectful. All children are taught some kind of manners as they are brought up, it is up to them weather to use them. Working in the medical field, Rikimaru has learned that manners, or atleast the facade of them, can take you a long way. Frank, callous, insensitive, brusque. Rikimaru got this trait from his father. Although a caring father, he also know that speaking his mind was necessary. a thing he taught to Rikimaru. Dancing around an issue does nothing to resolve it. Nosey- Given to prying into the affairs of others; snoopy. Offensively curious or inquisitive. A trait Rikimaru gained on his own. Being a smart child he was naturally nosey from a young age. He liked not only knowing facts such as how a disease causes a certain effect, but other peoples secrets and business. He would always find out his friends and family members secrets one way or another. It is better to know information and not need it than to not know it and need it. Secretive- Deliberatly not telling people things. Although Rikimaru loves to know the general going-ons in the lives of people he is around, he hates when people know his business. Being thrown into the death game, he is even more suspicious about new people, keeping them at arms length. At the very least he will only tell them things they need to know.
