The wind was bitter cold and having to search in the cold in beginners clothes was a very big annoyance. Still he would look for the recording crystals that were formed in the bitter frost. He wished he was still on his old floor where the weather was warmer and the wind felt nice. Skylar skirted around the ice lake in search of a crystal. Link to post Share on other sites

The recording crystals are actually made from a never melt ice that made a ringing sound. The weather was chilly so he had to try and make the search quick. Luckily he had invested some skill points in his eyes and brought a necklace to help him search. Skylar placed his hands in the snow and felt around. Way to freaking cold for this. He shoved his hand back into the snow to check for another crystal. He felt around not really feeling anything before pulling his hand out. Nothing to be found here. He doubted you could actually get frostbite here but it was not a nice feeling to be cold. This patch was void of any crystals so Skylar pulled out and blew on his hands to warm it up some. He jumped up as the powder started to freeze his nose. Right next to his left shoe show was a gleaming crystal. It was obviously a recording crystal which was unfortunate luck. Why not have them in clumps sometimes like daises, that would be very useful. As luck would have it another crystal was actually in the same spot right next to the last. "Oh my god yaaaaaas!" Still he kept his hand under for a few more to make sure that no crystals could be found there. There was not a single crystal left to be found in this spot, so he stood up and moved on. He kept his eyes peeled and his senses alert at all times. In case the game decided to screw with him and make a Yeti monster or something else just as horrible. "There should be more crystals here seeing as how it is more icy" he thought to himself. He shuffled the snow with his foot not wanting to bend down right away. His foot brushed something hard so he bent to check it out. It was a Recording Crystal but too damaged to use. So he had to move on to the next. It looked lovely enough to support a crystal if that was the proper way to judge things. Skylar felt a bit playful and jumped into the snow pile. It was weird how he was not actually freezing to death. He searched and managed to get lucky at the very bottom of the bank was a recording crystal waiting for him. Which was pretty weird for a virtual world. Still he dived back underneath the snow pile and made his way to the bottom. He felt around and grabbed another hard object before coming back up. Making his way to the bottom slowly but more quickly then the first time. When he got to the bottom he checked for more crystals. It was alright but he could not stay down there for too long. He needed to get as many recording crystals as he could, it was vital to everyone. Well it may not actually be vital but you never knew when one of his crystals came in handy. It could save a life in some roundabout way. At least that is what he wanted to believe. The bottom of the pile had a really hard piece. He scooped it up and moved to the top as fast as he could. He made it and examined his find. It was a beautiful sparkling crystal who knew if recording crystals had qualities, since this crystal was simply breath taking. He had to make sure to find as many crystals as he could before he left for the day. The wind shrieked all around him blasting wintry air into his face and hands. He waddled over to the next snow patch and dug in. The patch of snow was actually not that deep, it only went up to his wrist, and he was able to grab a crystal. It was getting colder but this snow pile was not deep either. Moving his hand back and forth inside the the pile he felt for the crystal. No piece was actually found inside the the pile of snow so it was a bit of a mute point. No need for him to keep his hand in then. So he got his hand out and moved on. Skylar checked the nearest snow bank for a crystal but was unfortunate enough to find one. "Well this sucks!" It was pretty annoying to be cold and unable to find what he was looking for. The constant search for materials started making him a bit grumpy and he had to calm himself down. He spotted another particularly icy patch of snow. Since he would have to come right back to search again.The last pile he went to was a dude and he was beginning to believe he mined the entire lake area out already. Still he checked the nearest snow pile just to be sure. As luck would have it a perfect recording crystal was right there waiting for him.
