(PP-F1)Unforgotten pain

Snake's mind drifted as he stood there looking at the sword. The minotaur looks at him precariously as he just stood there. The beast tightened its grip on the sword and leaps at snake. The motion of the beast woke snake from his trans and he only got to see the sword in front of his face until he blacked out from the blunt force against his head. His eyes snap back open and sees the monster swing its sword again, but he goes under the sword's path. The sword slices the air in front of it making a whizzing sound as it passes above snake's head.

As the minotaur's sword comes back around snake comes up with and uppercut that slashes its stomach and face. Falling back the minotaur explodes into pixels that dissipates in the air. Snake slides his sword into his sheath and walks further out. Snake looks down and sees the grass being compressed by his steps and thinks,(all this time on the game and we haven't even gotten close to beating the boss.) The grass filled hills roll silently in the sun as it sets.

shadows fill the surrounding areas from the setting sun as snake walks off 2 miles from were he killed those minotaurs. the stars begin to show on the other side of the land and the battle between light and dark begins, but eventually dark will prevail and light will come take it back. snake spots a monster that is just standing try looking back at him; the figure is just a skeleton with muscle and no skin to cover its strands. the thing smiles with its razor teeth and begins in a dead sprint in snake's direction. snake takes his cutlass out of the sheath and starts to run at the ghoul.

Snake slides and tries an uppercut, but the ghoul jumps up and on top of snake. The ghoul's claws come out and the monster begins slashing away at his skin. (Getting really tired of this.) Snake tries to lift up his knee, but the thing was too heavy. He then twists his waist around, freeing leg, and brings his leg and comes around with a kick to the ghoul's face. As it falls over, snake rolls to his hands and gets up. (Well at least it won't be able to block my attacks.) The ghoul jumps to its feet and stares down snake.

snake breaks the stare down by jolting forwards and thrusting the sword at the ghoul, but it dodges to the side with a step. snake loses his balance from throwing himself to have more power in the attack, but that back fired quickly. tumbling to the ground and landing nearly on his face, yet he catches himself and twists onto his back. seeing the opportunity the ghoul leaps at snake, but he quickly sees the situation and rolls to the side and then pushes himself up onto his feet. snake takes a look at the red scars on his chest that glow red.

snake looks up and the ghoul is already sprinting at him. snake jumps to the side, but was a little too early because the ghoul pounces on him and impales him with its razor claws. the monster drags the sharp stacks outwards of snake's chest; snake roars in pain and grabs its hands and pulls the claws out. over powering the ghoul snake throws the monster off of him. the ghoul scampers to its feet and snake comes down with a quick and powerful strike, impaling the mob snake rips it out and kicks it away. the ghoul tumbles across the ground and gets back up for more; snake eyes the ghoul and as it shows its teeth. snake grins and darts to the monster.

The grins turns to a serious stern face, while snake is sprinting to the ghoul. The ghoul jumps up in an attempt to dodge snake's incoming attack, but snake jumps up with it, slams it to the ground, and years his sword for a quick swipe. The sword is thrown forward and slices the ghoul's stomach the ghoul clamps its teeth in the pain. The ghoul releases the pressure on its teeth and then stares at snake jumping away. The ghoul gets back up and leaps to snake with its right hand balled behind its head. The ghoul came down with a punch, but snake blocks the attack with the flat side of his cutlass.

snake pushes the sword forwards, pushing the ghouls hands away, and he then sweeps his left leg under the ghoul making it fall to the ground.the ghoul jumps to its feet and before snake could blink, the ghouls shoves him down and snake takes the ghouls arm and twists its it followed by him throwing it to the side. the ghoul hits the ground and gives a grunt. not wasting a second, snake gets up and rams the sword into its stomach. he continues to push the blade further in the ghoul's stomach and tears it out after dragging it to its face. the ghouls roars in pain with its eyes shut tight and mouth gaping open. it stops screaming and burst into pixels.

snake looks at the star engulfed sky with some clouds rolling away to his right. a gust of wind picks up and brushes against snake; the grass waves as the cool aired breeze pushes it. snake begins to walk further away from the central town and out into the quiet night. his eyes darts to a small pouch lying on the ground; snake walks to it and kneels down and picks it up. snake reaches in and finds a piece of paper and sand. he pulls out the paper and begins to unfold it; the piece of paper reading,"Pocket Sand". snake starts to laugh and takes out the sand and turns around. he throws it forwards and realizes what he had done. his smile dissipates and snake jumps back away from the angered kobold.

The kobold brushes off the sand from its face with its arms the mob gives stern look ay snake and darts towards him. The beast swings its dagger and snake dodges it, but it came up with a strike sending snake up and back a few meters. Snake slams against the ground with a thud and the wind is taken out of him. He gasps for a breath and gets back up to his feet, unsheaths his cutlass, and readys itself for the next attack it will throw at him. The beast stares down snake and begins to breathe rapid like it is ready to snap.

the beast's mouth gaps open as a roar rolls off its tongue. snake just looks at the kobold as it starts to dart to him. the kobold raises its dagger and snake puts his sword in the dagger's path. the kobold brings down its weapon and then moves it to the side dodging snake's sword and then strikes him digging in his shoulders. a grunt is let out from snake's mouth, along with his eyes, is now clenching to endure the pain that is racing through him. snake opens his eyes and then comes with a swoop of his leg and takes the kobold down to the ground. he smirks and then he leaps up to have a little more power in his next attack.

snake brings down the pain with a strike from above with his cutlass coming down;the kobold tries to roll away but is struck in the side. the cutlass sides into the enemy and then is quickly taken out when snake pulls on it and then takes a step back from the raging monster. the kobold jumps onto its feet and begins to sprint towards snake, but it was a little reckless. the kobold swings and snake strikes the dagger from its hands. the dagger flies and stabs the ground a few meters away. snake grins and the kobold rears back a punch and throws it forwards, but snake grabs the fist and then twists and throws the kobold away towards the dagger.

the kobold grabs its weapon and darts to snake, who is waiting for him to strike. the kobold swings its dagger around and snake puts his sword in front of it. the swords clash, but instead of the kobold's dagger flying away snake sword is pushed away and the kobold strikes him in the chest. the kobold rips its dagger up along his chest and then takes it out leaving a long red mark. the kobold grins, but then it changes to a look of surprise as snake's cutlass slide into the kobold stomach. impaled on his sword snake spins around and slings the monster off his sword. the kobold lands on the ground.

snake grins as the kobold attempts to get up and falls back down,"next time i fight something i hope it puts up a good enough fight." snake walks up to the kobold and thrusts the sword, but only catches air. his grin disappears. snake looks to the side and sees the kobold coming down with its dagger. snake smiles and then moves to the side and grabs the monster by the neck. he brings its ears to his mouth and whispers, "gotcha". he thrusts the cutlass in the head of the kobold. the monster bursts into pixels and leaves nothing behind. "well it could of gone better, but i  guess it's okay this way." snake turns around and heads towards the town.

walking back to the town, snake finds a pouch on the ground that seems to be made of leather rather than cloth. He approaches the pouch and kneels down to pick it up. he grabs the bag and digs in it; finding a mat inside the pouch. Snake puts it into his inventory and continues on his way to the town.

snake gazes at the figure that just came from the sky and landed right in front of him. the figure mixed up dirt from the landing so there isn't much clues of what it might be. the dust starts to settle and the figures's face is revealed; a big bird twice snake size stands before him wanting a fight. snake charges and raises his sword and the griffin jumps up and swoops towards snake. he jumps up and the griffin goes under him, but snake comes down on top of the beast and rams the sword into the beast. the monster lets out a screech like a bird. The bird turns upwards and snake slips off as the griffin goes against gravity.

the bird comes down to the ground and lifts up and slams against snake taking him down slamming him against the ground. snake's head spins out of control as he attempts to get up he slops his head back and lets it sit there until his sense of balance comes to. he puts his hands on his knees and pushes up to stand. snake takes his sword from the ground and when the griffin comes down for another swoop, snake swings down his sword and strikes the bird in the skull knocking it down to the ground. "i bet that caused a headache, didn't it!"

the headache begins to swarm snake's consciousness a bolt of pain hits him. the bird lifts its head and starts to wobble and they both just sit there with cross eyes. then snake still came up to the monster and gave it a swing but is incapacitated so he missed. the griffin tries the hit snake or grab it, but he is to far away for it to reach him. snake falls on his butt and lets out a small grunt. the griffin's head sways back and forth as he looks at snake. the bird manages to get up, but falls down and rolls over on its back. snake throws up from his nausea and the bird just watches.

snake begins to regain his balance, and his stomach, but the pain was still there. he takes a look to his side and sees his sword that he apparently drop while he up chucked. snake walks to the sword and picks it up; the griffin regains its grip on balance and went right behind snake and raised its talons. snake turns around right as the griffin swings its claws at snake, but snake ducks down and thrusts the cutlass into the griffin's neck. the griffin falls to the ground and bursts into pixels and leaves behind a stack of col. snake kneels down and gathers the col summing up to fifty col. he smiles and he continues to the town. the sky begins to lighten up and snake eyes go big after realizing he didn't sleep. he gives a slight shrug. "it can't be that bad if i don't get sleep for a two days, or at least i hope not."

the sky is red on one side and the other a dark blue and it seems the red is winning. snake squints and sees the town in the distance, he smiles and then something at the corner of his eye is a shiny coin purse. he walks over to it bends down and picks it up. (the coin purse is nothing special on the outside, but what is in the inside?) he unbuckles the buckle keeping it sealed and he reaches in, but doesn't find anything disappointed he continues to walk to the town.
