[OP-F1] Beginner's Training Raid Sign Ups/Prep

Recommended Posts

[OOC: Cancelled until further notice]

Rebekah had walked up to the town square in the Town of Beginning and posted a huge poster on the important bulletin board. She did not care about whatever poster was underneath, but she did make sure that they were long overdue, before covering those up. Then, she quickly left the town square and headed towards a nearby restaurant to sit down, overlooking the square, and the poster that she had posted. She was looking to double check if there was interest or not.

The poster read,

There will be a mini-boss raid taking place on Floor 1 for all beginners happening within the next few days.
This raid will be a simulation of a real floor/event boss raid with all the normal rules that typically apply.

For those of you who are interested, please post below.

The group will be meeting up in the grassy fields just outside of the City Limits in a few days.

~ Rebekah

Rules/Requirements:

1) You must RP in character during the entire thread (including this sign-up/preparation thread)

2) No One Liners

3) This event will take place outside of the town, thus all players may attend.

4) Being Killed in the boss raid means your character is dead, no exceptions.

5) You must post within 24 hours of the last post, or you will be skipped.

6) Players skipped twice will be automatically removed from the thread, and will not receive any rewards. (col, SP)

7) This boss raid is suggested for players levels 1-10, if you are above level 10, you are allowed to attend/organize/watch (but cannot fight). PM me for specific exceptions (level 11 - and want to join, etc...).

Finally, PM me if you have any questions.

Ooc Rusty you must sign up on character.

Jacob was walking in floor one when heseen a new sign on the plaher request board. Jacob grabbed a pencil and wrote down his name. Jacob turned around then back to the board. In a couple of days he thought. Jacob began to leave. His potions had to be ready.

Ethereal had heard rumours of a training event being advertised in the Town of Beginnings. Deciding to check it out, the newly returned man made his way through the crowds of players and NPCs. Pushing his way past the few people crowding the board and surveying the poster the warrior's eyebrows raised.

So it was true - a mini boss raid. After a moment he memorised the details of where the event will be located. 'May as well show my face and see if I can be any help to the organisers..' the Specialist decided as he made his way out of the square.

I walked up to the bulletin board, a place where I was usually able to find the latest news about Aincrad and the ongoing effort to liberate Aincrad. Certainly I was nervous about this game, nervous about dying before getting out of this damn game, but that doesn't mean you can just sit back, lock yourself in the Town of Beginnings, and do nothing. Looking over the posters, a fresh one stuck out. It was highlighting a mini-boss raid that was coming up. The more veteran players were going to allow the beginning players a stab at this one, as they were more or less over-leveled, and it would be good for beginners to get experience of operating in a boss raid before moving up to the front-lines. No doubt, this was still going to be dangerous, but I have to be honest, I'm not THAT worried.

I'd certainly feel better if Tyger could finish prepping my shield, but we'll see how that is. She's been bogged down with her own leveling as well as several of her long-time customers orders, so I understand the delay...still it would be very helpful to have. I also wouldn't mind picking up a group healing crystal for an event like this, though I may just get another regular healing potion. No-one likes spending more money then they have too on someone else, but either way, I won't let anyone die.

Reaching out and signing. I turned and moved on; hoping to go procure some supplies, as well as reach level 7 or possibly level 8 by the time we begin the mini-boss raid. Still, it feels invigorating to know this was going to be coming up. I'm hoping to score some excellent loot during this raid. I should probably go fishing soon, hopefully I can find us some nice fish I can sell in my shop, Aincrad's Finest Fish, to help improve drop rates. We'll see.
