At least so he thought. He ran forward, similar to his first attack, which he failed. This time, however, Jomei did not stop. He jumped at the crack in the boulder with his knee. What could have possibly been a damaging hit, was not. He missed the main crack by about a foot, and his knee smacked into a flat surface on the boulder. With a light crack, Jomei fell to his knee, holding it. "Gah!" I told myself not to get cocky. His knee had cracked a little bit from the attack, and the crowd's cheering started to lower again. He stood up slowly, struggling because of his slightly broken kneecap. He took his fighting stance, and took a deep breath. His attacks were weak. With each punch, the shock would affect his knee, shooting pain up his body. He stepped back and took a breath again. He didnt think he was going to be able to do this. After getting so far. Quitting wouldn't be helpful, he knew if he forfeited the quest, the crack would just fix itself, and they would be back at square one. He grit his teeth because of the pain. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his upper back. He turned around to see a girl, one of the ones watching in the crowd. She was smiling at him and holding something in her hand. She turned her hand upward to reveal it was a bandage wrap and a small, curved piece of thin metal. He recognized it as a knee splint. "You can do it." She said to him with a blush and a smile. Jomei blushed back as the woman helped him to put the splint in place, and then wrap it up. After finishing she walked back to the crowd, not before turning around and smiling at him again. Jomei stood up, and tested out how his knee felt. It hurt, it wasnt healed, but it would help. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd while facing the boulder. He was ready to attack again. As he got in front of it, he started to dance on his toes. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he let out a swift barrage of punches on the crack in the boulder. The punches were so fast, they almost looked like his Piercing Strike combo he would use with his rapier. As the punches flew, the cracks grew larger and larger toward the edges of the boulder. Jomei 0 Posted May 30, 2015 Author #24 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 ID: 17989 BD: 9 Small Cirt DMG: 2 His barrage of punches flew at the boulder. The cracks continued all the way to the end. Where the boulder cracked, the smaller portions now collapsed in on themselves. It was no longer one, large rock. But a bunch of small big ones. He took this as his opportunity to blow them all away with one swift attack. As the rocks collided with each other, Jomei took a step back and brought his fist down low. Once he reached his limit, he pivoted his feet and brought his fist forward. Dust and dirt lifted off of the ground as his fist curved close to the floor. His fist collided with the bottom rock with an uppercut, and the entire group of boulders lifted into the air and shattered, opening up the entrance to the dungeon. The crowd was speechless. Jomei stood up straight and swayed a bit. He could barely hear the roaring applause as he fell back, exhausted. Boulder defeated Quote Report Link to post Share on other sites
Jomei 0 Posted May 30, 2015 Author #25 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 When he came to, Jomei was laying near one of the camps on a bedroll. He slowly opened his eyes. When his eyes focused on what was around him. He saw the girl who had helped with his knee looking at him, she gasped and looked across her. Jomei's eyes followed to see the old man, who got up from his seat and walked over to him. They both looked down and smiled at him. Jomei was so focused on the two, that he did not even notice the small box open in front of him.
