[SP-F1] The Throw down [Completed]

Wondering why a image like that popped in his head right when he close his eyes, he goes for a second go. This time a image of a kid sitting on his bed with his legs against his chest and his arms around his knees comes up. The kid has short, flat, brown hair and brown eyes. Not much meat on his bones, he is staring at his feet, and isn't moving. Snake snaps out of his imagination as he is falling towards the ground. He puts his hands in front of himself to keep him from hitting the ground. He gets back up to his feet and looks to the ground to find a small bag that has something in. Putting it in his pocket he continues.

The image in his head of that boy does not seem to be going away anytime soon. He takes his sword out to examine it, he looks at the glimmer which he found weird and then he sees a reflection. But it isn't his reflection, it is of the boy's. He drops the cutlass and it lands blade first. Snake's reflection has replaced the boy's, and the glimmer was also gone. The soaked clothes snake wears is getting really heavy, so he begins to walk back to the town. His eyes become heavy so he begins to jog, so it can keep him awake. The rain slaps his face as he jogs through the storm. His body temperature rises, so he doesn't feel as cold. Loving the feeling, he closes his eyes to enjoy the rain.

He just sees the blackness under neath his eye lids along with multi colored waves that his mind puts there. The rain stops hitting him, but the sounds are still there. He quickly stops in his tracks, opens his eyes, and realizes that he is under a tree. A large Sigh then sped up breathing follows. Looks at the low, but wide tree that was three times as tall as snake. He smiles as he sees some light coming from the horizon, but the cloud's are the only thing that is being lit up due to the rain. He catches his breathe and continues with his jog to the town.

A figure appears in the distance, it seems to be close to the ground. Snake continues for a few more seconds and he makes out a red haired with black "socks" and black streaks across the panther's face. Snake stops jogging and starts to walk, so when he engages the target he won't be out of breath. He crouches and continues to the target. He accidentally kicks something and it alerts the panther, snake instinctively looks down and finds that the object was a mat. Snake looks up and sees the panther sniffing around as snake picks it up.

The wind blows and flatens the grass a little exposing snake's head. In a panic he drops to a prone position, he peeks over the grass to see the panther staring in his general direction. Snake breaks out into a sprint towards the beast. He takes hold of the hilt of his cutlass and rips it out of its sheath. The wind tries to work against him, but he doesn't let that stop him from getting to point B. The panther pounces at him and he opens up his arms. Snake catches the panther and stabs it in the side, while it slashes at him. He hits it with his elbow and throws the beast of of him. The cat quickly rolls to it feet and then they both start to circle each other.

They continue to circle and as they do they look in to each other's etlyes to try to anticipate one another's next move. Snake steps in a hole and he trips, putting him to the ground. He tries to get up, but the panther doesn't allow that. Before snake could look up the creature had already jumped and is now on him. The panther goes in for a bite and bites snake's left arm. Snake thrusted his sword towards its neck, but the monster put it huge paw in the way for his arm. Snake pushes off the ground with his right arm with the panther still biting and chewing his left. He gets his leg out of the hole and kicks the beast off of him. His the panther's mouth is covered in blood and so is his arm. The pain in his arm is stinging and sore, a horrible combination. He clenches his teeth to endure the immobilizing pain.

The panther pounces and snake dashes to it with his cutlass like a knife, he steps to the side lounges towards the animal as it lands. Snake puts his left hand on the back of the panther's neck and thrusts the cutlass into its right front shoulder. The monster jumps and snake tumbles down. Hitting the ground snake loses his grip on the sword. Panicking he tries to go for it  but the panther jumps on top of him, goes for a bite, but snake uppercuts it in the chin. Though it did keep it from biting him, the thing still mauled snake's chest. Snake manages to put a leg onto its chest and kick it off. The monster lands on its back and snake jumps to his feet, ready for another attack.

Snake goes in for the kill while the panther is still getting up. The beast got up, but snake strikes it's head with his hilt. The panther's head bobs down and snake raises the cutlass and brings it down onto the panther's head. A big crack, then silence came after he struck the enemy. It fades away into pixels and snake sheaths his cutlass. He let's out a sigh, swipes the sweat and then resumes to his jogging. The gust of wind hits him and it starts to dry his eyes. He squints, but that isn't really helping. According to the sun it probably is 12 hours after he had started. He gives a slight smile, but didn't for long because he trips and lands face first into a puddle.

He pushes him self out of the water and opens his eyes. A acorn was right to the puddle. (how the hell did this get here, there are no trees in sight!) He gets up and just walks. Snake yawns and his eyes grow heavy. His eye lids start to shut and he shakes his head in an attempt to wake him up. His head tilts one way and he starts to way at an angle. The winds picks up a leaf and slaps snake with it. He snaps to attention and begins to look around. His sword slips out of the sheath and falls to the ground. Snake looks around just in case if someone pulled it out, but realized that he didn't click the sword into place. He picks it put up and slides it into the sheath. *click*

Eyes heavy snake fights sleep, but he seems to be losing. (Gosh, how long will it freaking take to get to the tower. I've been walking for hours and haven't even seen it.) He opens the menu and looks on the map. (well I'm going the right way... 5 miles!) "oh, come one!!" Snake grinds his teeth realizing it is going to take a whole lot longer than expected. His pace picked up and he does bother to look down, so he trips over a rock. His expression turns to a pissed off face as he falls to the ground and face plants. He places his hands on the ground and pushes himself up. He brushes himself off and continues with his walk.

Snake let's out another yawn as he continues to walk towards the town. Snake sees a small dip in the land ahead, (I think I could take some rest.) Reaching it he falls to the ground and closes his eyes. His slumber continued until something wet and slimy hit his face. His eyes snap open and he rolls away. Jumping to his feet he looks toward the beast that drooled on him. The reaver crouches and jumps to snake, landing on him it rams it's arm into snake's arm and twist. Clenching his teeth and fists, snake grabs the monster's arm and pulls it out. He sweeps the reaver's legs out from under it and he throws it to the side.

Snake jumps up and jumps on the reaver's. He brings down his sword and rams the sword through the exoskeleton, ripping through the soft flesh. Snake takes it out and tries to get off, but the reaver brings its scythe into snake's side. The pain brings him to the ground and yells as he tumbles. The reaver takes it out and goes for another, but snake blocks it with his sword. He manages to jump out of the path of the second one and he puts his left his hand on the wound, the blood seeps through his finger. They eye each other and back down for a few seconds.

Snake readys and the reaver does the same. Looking at his hp he sighs, "It seems like every battle I get into I'm always near death." The reaver dashed towards snake. (So now you dash instead of leaping or pouncing.) The reaver brought up its eight arm and reared it's left one. Then it jumps the rest of the way. The monster lands on top of him and thrusts it's left scythe. snake deflects it and it tears through the ground. Bringing down the second one directly after it, as snake predicted, he deflects the other one. As the reaver removes its arm from the ground and snake pushes up from the ground with the reaver still latched onto him. It tries to jump off, but snake grabs one of its arms and rams his sword into its arm. Though it didn't cut it off he still landed a hit.

Putting his foot onto the reaver snake pushes off, kicking it a bit back.They look into each other's eyes waiting and trying to anticipate one another's move. The drool from the creature is pouring onto the ground like thick syrup onto a pancake. Snake takes the chance and bolt the still reaver. It rears back its arm, but snake reaches it before it could thrust it towards him. Snake ducks and comes up with his sword right into the reaver's chest. It begins to let out a chilling roa, Then fades into red pixels.

snake lets himself fall to the ground from the exhaustion, though he he was just tired. His heart is pounding, struggling to beat from the lack of sleep and lack of rest. Knowing he can't stop from going back to the town, back to safety, so he can rest safely. He pushes himself off the ground with his hands and places one foot flat on the ground. Pushing off, he continues his dreaded walk towards the town. (Well this is extremely exhausting, but it is pretty much the only thing i can do.) Though his feet are aching from the walk, jog, and all the fights, he continues to walk. His mind calms and he blacks out.

Snake finds himself in his bed at home. he looks around frantically, trying to figure out where he was. (Was that all a dream?) He gets up out  snake runs to the window and throws it open. He looks down at the traffic in the streets at the base of his apartment building. He sighs as he lays back down on his bed. "That was a horrible dream and I have one hell of a imagination." He gets up and heads to the door to hug his mother. He rounds the corner and trips over nothing and lands on his face. Getting up he heads to his parent's bedroom and enters to see they aren't in bed. He closes the door and enters the kitchen to see his mother cleaning the dishes. walking up to her snake hugs her from the side. tears roll down his eyes as he sqeezes his mother. She looks down at him, he looks up and sees nothing. Snake wakes up on the ground were a root had tripped him.

Snake gets up and scratches his head. A tree shrouds over him as he looks around to see that it is dark out and the town is just in distance to see it. He is filled with relief, but then he remembers his dream. Snake clenches his hands and grits his teeth. He let's out a burst of anger and throws a punch to the tree. some of the bark flies off and so does some of snake's skin from his fist. Blood runs down to the ground dripping slowly like a leaking faucet. He sits down on the ground and let's the tears fall from his eyes as he sobs from the thoughts of not seeing his mother. Calming himself, he wipes the tears from his eyes and gets back up to continue his walk.

A cool breeze washes over snake as he crosses a small stream. Hearing the water moving along the rocks, a pleasant sound. Enjoying it, he kneels down and washes his face and the blood from his hands. The blood ran with the currents and dissipating into its translucent blue.   He closes his eyes to enjoy the sound a little more. He walks out of the reach of the water's twinkling sound and the only sound around is the gentle breeze blowing past his ears. He yawns deeply, taking in the air and releases it. He kicks something and looks down to see a mat. He takes it and puts it in his pocket for later. (well at least something went okay with this long walk.)

The town ahead only meant comfort to him and that alone made him walk, he looks into the sky that is filled with the stars and a bright tranquil moon. A single thought filled his mind, why does life find a way? A voice answers him stating, (to survive), he continues as he gets butterflies in his stomach. Not knowing why it quickly answers, (a new found hope...) His stride widens and he starts moving faster and faster. "If all goes to waste then so be it, but in order to move you must push forward. Accept the past and move on... The massive town gate approaches him with open arms. He slows as he reaches the welcoming gate. "I'm back..."

The AI infested town hasn't changed a bit in the past few days, but snake sees a lot more players running around town. (so everyone is starting to get more active...) Glad to be back to safety snake continues to his shop. From the gate, there is a path that leads past it. Though it is hard to spot, you can easily tell where if you have ever been there. It sticks out with its wood structure and the surrounding building are made of stone. Walking down the narrow path towards the shop, snake spots a stranger walking to him. Playing it cool, he puts his hands in his pockets as the two pass by. Snake looks behind him to see the guy continuing down and off the path. Turning around to enter the shop a note was left there... nailed in with a spike from a reaver's shoulder.
