[OP-F4] Duel of The Fates

"Warp Floor Four!" 

In a flash of blue light, Jomei appeared standing on the platform holding the teleported. The cold wind blew at his coat, scarf and hair as he crossed his arms, scouting his surroundings. He looked left, right, and then up to the snow falling from the sky. As he stepped off the raised platform onto the snow covered ground, he heard the crunch of the snow beneath his boot. With a smirk, he said to himself, "Perfect." He walked forward a couple of paces before stopping and turning around to face the warp gate one again. He looked up to the sky again and puckered his lips, whistling sharply. From the darkness of the sky came down a brown blur that perched onto Jomei's shoulder; it was Adere, his owl familiar. His eyes went to her, and then forward again. He lifted his hand to open his HUD, and with a few flicks of his wrist, opened up a PM window.

Helios,

Meet me on the Fourth Floor in the center of town.. We have some unsettled business to attend to..

Jomei sent out the PM to Helios and closed his HUD. He crouched down to the ground and put his hand on the cold snow. Bunching up a small amount of it, Jomei picked it up in his hands. He began to pat and smooth out the snow, turning it into a ball. Once it was complete, he stood there waiting for his friend to get the message, throwing the ball of snow into the air and catching it. 

 

 

[Golden 0]

Golden had just finished grinding off some snow monsters and was resting in a tavern where he was drinking some hot chocolate before noticing that a player was outside with a snowball and an owl? Golden found it quite peculiar for a player to choose an owl as their familiar out of all the available ones. He sipped a cup of hot chocolate before noticing that he was just throwing the ball up and down and up and down. He's waiting for something. Golden realized and turned his chair toward the window of the tavern. He looks like he is pretty puffed up for a fight. Golden thought. He's seen many people look like that and didn't care about the weather conditions no matter how cold it was. Well, this might get ugly... and interesting. Golden thought as he decided to wait there for an entertaining battle and ordered another cup of hot chocolate so he could stay there without getting kicked out by the stupid NPC owner of the place like last time.

Helios stepped out into the snow that the fourth floor had to offer. After receiving the message from Jomei, he decided he'd show up and discover what the "unfinished business" the ginger spoke of was. The dark-haired swordsman followed the street forward until he arrived at the city's center. "Jomei. It's been a while." He smiled, walking forward to greet the man. The rapier-wielding player was clearly a lot stronger than the young noirette. Nearly twenty levels higher as well. "So," Helios started, "I heard you were living in a house on a beach now. What brings you to somewhere as cold as Floor Four?"

The man was unsure of why his friend had called him here, but he did have an idea and wanted to find out if his assumption was correct. Helios slid his hands into the pockets of his pants. "By 'unfinished business' I suppose you mean a duel? You're probably aware of our strength difference, but that won't stop me from accepting your request, if I am right."
