[PP-F1] An old friend... (Goldenarroz)

Xion was wandering through the streets of the town of beginnings, taking in the floor's clear air and nice mild weather. There was basically never any bad weather on floor one, which was a nice change for a Brit like Xion who had to endure rather crap weather in the real world. The boy sighed "Such a nice day with absolutely nothing to do..." he said to himself, musing over what he should spend his time doing before he was struck with an idea: He would visit an old friend, one which he had known since his first days in SAO, Golden. He knew that the man had a shop on this floor, having spent the night there before. Xion changed his course, heading towards the small cafe/restaurant that Golden owned, opening the door and peering in. "Golden?" He asked, before walking in an waiting by the door.

Golden had been laying on his chair in front of the kitchen where the counter was located, taking a break from all the cooking action that he hand endured that day. He sighed as he closed his eyes, ready to take a nap while humming a beautiful tune he'd picked up from the real world before, "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let it go~" He sung as he slowly fell to a deep slumber... when... there was a slight whisper. "Golden?" He heard. He was bothered that his song was so strongly interrupted by someone from the outside world. As he opened his eyes, he quickly stood up. "Welcome to Japanese Cuisine. What can I do for you?" He asked before realizing that the person who had whispered his name was Xion, someone he was in a party with before. They had fought some boars together back then... and looking at Xion, Golden could tell that the player had grown a lots since then. Golden smiled.

Xion smiled as Golden recited his welcoming "I'm looking for an old friend" he said before walking up to the player with a rather large grin on his face. "Long time no see, how have you been?" He asked, pulling up a couple of chairs and sitting down, looking at Golden. 'He looks as strong as ever, heck probably stronger' Xion thought as he looked at the restaurant that his friend owned, he had been here before but it just seemed nicer this time, most likely because he wasn't in a tired state of 'I can't be bloody asked' this time, and thus was able to appreciate the calm atmosphere of the place.

Golden sat up before standing up. "Hold on, let me get you a cup of water and some stuffed apples." He said as he stood up heading toward the kitchen. What good way to treat a friend. Golden thought as he pulled out the two products from his stock. Having done so, he headed back toward the service area where Xion was sitting. After placing the two food products on the table in front of Xion, Golden said, "So, how's life been?" A short question that could have deep meanings.

Xion sipped the water "Life's been good, I've been hunting and doing a few quests, but not much else. he said before taking a bite out of the apple, the taste exploded into his mouth, he had forgotten how good Golden's food was, as such good food was  a rarity in SAO. "Oh, and I'm a blacksmith now, don't have a shop though" he said, taking another bite before looking at Golden again. "So how have you been? You and the girlfriend still ok?" Xion knew that it was probably a bad question to ask, but he always thought that the relationship was cute.

"Eh. Life's been pretty good." Golden said as he leaned against the counter of his shop. "Not been fighting a whole lot though." He smiled as Xion brought up his girlfriend. "Yeah... Our relationship is getting along quite well." He said cheerfully. "However, I've spent tons of time with her recently... and not getting enough time to fight some mobs out there." He said as he checked his inventory before bringing out his sword. I could use some fighting to get his sword skills and body back in shape. He thought as he put his blade by his side. "Wanna go fight some boars?" Golden asked.

"Good to hear, and eh maybe, I don't know if I want to right now, just sitting here and talking is good currently, but if you want to I guess I can be bothered to go hunting" He said, stretching, before taking his scabbard off his back. " I forgot to tell you, I have a new blade now" he said before taking the Impravidor out of it's scabbard and laying it on the table. "It's called 'Impravidor' or 'the impravidor"

"Eh. A new weapon?" Golden asked with curiosity. His weapon was probably one of the best considering the fact without the use of drop from a floor boss. Golden sighed as he took a look at the Impravidor. Seems like it does an additional damage. Golden thought as he inspected the weapon laying upon the table. Golden smiled as he looked back at Xion. "I'd recommend using something with perfect enhancements... like mine." Golden said as he pulled his rapier out from his container. Golden's blade wasn't the best... but it was one of the better ones. "In fact, I'll recommend you to a person called Hasai. Check out her shop and if that doesn't work... check out a girl called Meokka. She can help you out as well." Golden said. He needs to save up for a perfect weapon... that weapon might be too weak.

Xion nodded "Yeah, this was given to me by a player called Takao, nice guy, and I'll make sure to check them out, assuming that they're not too expensive, I haven't got that much money" The player then started thinking about different armour types, he was at the level now where he should start specialising, deciding on whether he wanted to go into a full glass cannon, tank or even a , mixed build. "By the way Golden, I have a question. What sort of build should you go for, I can't really decide, torn between glass cannon and tank" He said, hoping that his question didn't sound like that of a level one player.

"That'll just have to be decided on by yourself." Golden said as he smiled. "Actually... I have some spare equipment from a long way back that you can have." Golden said. "See... I'm neither a tank nor a glass cannon. I'm a combo of both. You have to decide whether you want to be either of them... or be like me. I'm more of a complete player." Golden said as he walked to his item storage before pulling out a rapier. Oh wait... his weapon didn't look like a rapier. Golden remembered as he put the sword back. It was a perfect sword with +2 Damage and paralysis. Too bad he doesn't use a rapier. Golden thought as skimmed the storage before seeing an armor that's labeled "Protector". Golden smiled, as he remember Kasai, a player he hasn't seen in a long time... Maybe she is dead. Golden wondered as he walked back into the service area. "Sorry I don't got any straight swords like yours."

" it's ok, you use a rapier so I wasn't expecting you to be holding a perfect straight sword, anything else then, like armour or a shield?" Xion said, hoping that he wasn't asking too much of the player, It would have been nice If golden was able to give him something as good items are hard to find as a low level player.

I've got a chest plate he could have. Golden thought as he signaled for Xion to wait in the room. He might have to give away his "protector" Chestplate. It wasn't the greatest chestplate... but it was given by a friend and he was told to remember her. Golden sighed as he remembered her appearance and how they fought together. He got out the "Protector" Chestplate and walked back into the room before sending a trade request to give Xion the chestplate. He smiled, he would have no uses for it so it wouldn't hurt to give it away even if it held the memory of an old friend.

Xion accepted the trade request, touched by the fact that Golden would give him something and ask for nothing in return. "Thankyou...so much" he said, smiling. Xion decided to not equip the armour right away, as currently he was enjoying just relaxing with a friend. "You truly are a lucky man golden, and a kind one too. I mean you have a shop, a girlfriend, so much gear, you're actually living in this game rather than just surviving. How I wish I had what you do, well I guess I'll have to earn it" He said, smiling as he sipped the water again.

"Eh..." Golden said as he looked thoughtfully at the ceiling. All good things would come to an end eventually. He thought as he replied. "Maybe I'm lucky... or maybe it's fate." He said. "Eventually, we would all have to fight in the front lines... and no doubt... lots of us would die from the battles that awaits us." Golden smirked. He seriously hoped that things would continue to go well... and nothing would interfere with his perfect life at this point. He scratched his hair... not sre of how to continue the conversation any further.

Xion nodded "True, true. Some could say that death in this game is inevitable, we have a hundred floors to clear, and nobody knows how long our real bodies will last" he said, before shaking his head. "Bets not dwell on such thoughts, shall we go hunting?" he asked, downing the rest of his water and taking a few more bites out of the apple. "Man this stuff is good"

Golden smiled as he was complimented on the taste of his apple. The apple wasn't exactly a masterpiece... but he liked to make all of his food each its own unique flavor. He stood up from leaning against his counter before taking his sword as well. "We shall go hunting." Golden said before heading out of the shop to the fields on floor 1. Floor 1 mobs were quite weak... but he could use the fighting and a test of his new skill. Golden allowed Xion to follow him before reaching the fields and engaging in a boar fight.

However, Golden wanted to try out a skill before attacking and if he succeeds, he will let Xion take the first attack. He found a rock nearby and hid behind it, using his Hide & Sneak skill... His stealth rating wasn't the highest... but hopefully, it will be effective.

Golden smirked when the boar wasn't aware of his existence if though he was basically right in front of him. He smiled... the skill could become effective in eavesdropping and other ninja missions. He pointed at the boar before looking at Xion, allowing him to take the first attack.

Xion followed Golden as he went out into the plains of floor one, and watched as Golden used his <<Hide and sneak>> skill to become invisible to the boar. "you take the first shot, I'm liable to miss anyway, that and you have the element of surprise currently" he said, before drawing the Impravidor, ready to attack after Golden. 

(I rolled a 1 on the BD so there's no point in bothering XD)

Golden was going to have to tank for this battle. He used his howl skill to ensure that the boar would be focused entirely on him while Xion could do damage to it from behind. Golden wasn't going to do much attacking this battle since he has to ensure the safety of the weaker player using his damage mitigation and tanking skills. Golden frowned when the boar charged only to miss him by quite some distance. Golden sighed, waiting for Xion to make his move.
