Nothing about him or his parents particularly sticks out. Being an only child, Kazuya developed a reclusive personality. This isn't to say that he doesn't mix well with others, he just normally wishes to be left to his own accord. Even if that weren't the case, he wouldn't be very popular as his interests include games, computers, manga, and comics. He's generally very quiet and calculating, an attribute that can come off as cold, but he never fails to listen contemplatively. Kazuya never wishes to be the center of attention, always preferring to stay in the shadows. He avoids contact with most other people as much as he can but isn't against forming relationships with those he trusts. On that subject, if you can succeed in gaining his trust (which isn't an easy task) he will put his life on the line without question. He is also, as one could assume, very quiet and his tone usually varies between only two options: serious and sarcastic. But Kazuya isn't afraid to bluntly speak his mind and even throw in some one witty remarks and one liners every once in awhile. Being inside SAO opened a path for Kazuya that wasn't available to him in the real world: the path to becoming a hero. Ever sense he was a kid, Kazuya has looked up to comic and manga heroes. Most of his choices have been based on the moral code and strong beliefs he has formed by watching these idols in action. As such, Kazuya truly has a desire to help people, to become dependable, to be a better person, and of course be cool while he's at it. Above all he's not in it for the fame. Admittedly he can be self centered at times, but what can you do? All he needs to do is work on his people skills. But perhaps he wishes to be more of a shadow hero. As for his appearance, he has light brown hair, purple eyes, and is of average height and body type. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but you could say he is generally considered to be good looking; however, he has no characteristics that particularly stand out aside from his eye color. (He is my profile picture just to give you a better idea) Koumori is also easily confused for a girl. Most people assume that he is female. He is liable to either tell them they are mistaken or play along until they find out. Apparently he has a very feminine face and physique. News to him. (Yeah who am I kidding he's just a trap now as I've been told) Virtues: >Kindness - He may come off as dismissive or rude, but to the core Kazuya is a kind person. He will stop to help those in need and will go out of his way to assist those he cares about. Whether it be through emotional support, aide in battle, or even errands, Kazuya will try to be there. Of course, like any person he has his limits. If someone does something to get on his bad side he may be inclined to just sit back and watch. >Intelligence - Kazuya is a pretty smart kid. Whether it's a help or a hinderance, he usually finds himself analyzing situations and conversations. His intelligence has helped him go through school near the top of his class and hopefully this will transfer over to SAO. Unfortunately for him though, what he has in book smarts he lacks in street smarts. >Loyalty - Kazuya isn't blindly loyal, but if his loyalty is earned it's hard to shake him. Because he gets a little aggravated when people aren't receptive to his requests or simply abandon him all together, Kazuya makes every effort not to do that to others. If something is within his realm of ability and he deems it for a good cause, he'll at least make an attempt to go through with it. And if a friend is in need they can be sure to find Kazuya by their side. Faults: >Skepticism - Kazuya is always skeptical of people's motives. As such, he does not trust others easily. Because of his tendency to over analyze, he will often pay very close attentions to things people say and do (including lies, mistruths, and betrayals) and use that to weigh heavily against them. If he isn't 100% confident he can trust someone, he will not trust them at all. However, this does not always necessarily cancel out his kindness and helpfulness. >Emotion - He is especially prone to letting his emotions get the best of him. If sufficiently stimulated, Kazuya is liable to break out into rage or deep grief. If something truly gets to him it will undoubtably appear on the surface. Although he trys to hide everything aside from rage. >Aloofness - Because of his tendency to stay alone, he doesn't form many relationships. He will very rarely make any effort to approach others with that goal in mind or work towards furthering relationships on his own. If he is approached on the other hand, he may be more receptive.
