It practically leapt up onto its feet despite the damage and whipped around to face him in a second. He could feel the beast's warm breath upon him before his body even twitched in response, although he was still quick enough to dodge its attempt at slamming him into the ground. Takao lunged forward and ducked into a tumble before rolling back onto his feet. Takao 0 Posted September 3, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) The snow beast howled once in pain as its throat was cut, and again when Takao's blade carved through its left side. Its hind limbs were obviously still injured, as whatever brought on its second wind hadn't actually healed any of the damage, and instead just threw the beast into a blind rage that ignored the lack of mobility. Takao evaded the large forelegs that swung for him through well timed and precise tumbles and rolls, saving himself from sustaining damage yet again. Takao 0 Posted September 3, 2015 Author #23 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 Takao moved out from underneath the beast as its body fell to the ground - not dead, but rather a crude attempt to crush him beneath the monster's weight. He proved just a tad too fast still, which had clearly thrown the beast into primal rage at its lack of success when it came to landing a hit. The beast reared body of its forearms back and raised them high into the sky. It roared a menacing and ear-piercing screech of anger before slamming them down near Takao, who was actually thrown into the air by the force of the attack. Takao 0 Posted September 3, 2015 Author #24 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 As Takao soared ungracefully in the air as a result of the monster's brute force slamming into the ground, he forced his body to contort and fall in such a way that he could land an attack during his descent. By some miracle, he managed to unintentionally position his body in such a way that his sword began to glow with the tell-tale signs of a sword skill's premotion. With his body angled toward the monster, the system took control, and he took off toward the beast with unmatched speed. Takao 0 Posted September 3, 2015 Author #25 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 Immediately upon landing on the snowy ground, the second half of Takao's two-hit sword skill was unleashed upon the beast. His body leapt back into the air as soon as his boots made contact, and after throwing one of his legs over the other, his entire body spun and flipped. His sword arm advanced forward and his sword snapped at the beast like a whip, cracking through the air with impressive speed before it sank into the monster's neck. The last of its health was chopped away with the sword skill, and Takao managed to land on his feet, although he would still consider the flip to be garbage. He turned to his familiar, who had taken up a hiding spot behind the pedestal, and retrieved the frightened beast before leaving. "Alright! So, we're done here then.
