About:
Sora Gold is a high school student, and the son of a nurse and a college professor.  He has had a typical childhood, being an above average student, excelling in most of his classes, and his father would not have it any other way, being a college professor, excelling in all of his classes.  Sora does, however, also like to use his free time online.  Every time he is online, his username is always Flame. 

 

His life changed, however, 1 year ago, when his sister was kidnapped.  It happened right in front of him, and he was helpless.  After this, Sora became almost a different person, trying everything to find her.  Everyone else gave up about a month ago, but Sora still has hope that one day, he will see his sister again.

The day Sword Art Online was released, it was all anyone could talk about.  Sora did not want anything to do with games until he could find his sister, but it seemed like everyone else wanted him to have everything to do with the game.  Eventually, even his mother and father were concerned about him.  They even decided to buy the game for him!  Finally, Sora decided that his sister would not have been happy if he spent his whole life worrying about her, so he decided to try the game.  Little did he know that he was getting himself into something he would soon regret.  He put the helmet on, and tried to enjoy the fact that he was actually going to be Flame.  All he could think about was his sister, however, and decided that he would never be Flame until he found her.  That was when he decided to change the name to FlameX.  He closed his eyes for what may have been the last time and yelled out those fateful words: “LINK START!”

Virtues:

Will: Sora Gold has never been known to give up on a goal he sets for himself, whether it be to protect someone or something, a challenge he or someone else gives him, or finding his sister.  As FlameX, he will need to use this, so that he will be able to keep fighting, until he gets out of this so called game.

Courageous: When it comes to the life of any living being, Sora Gold is willing to do just about anything to protect it. As FlameX, he is prepared to do whatever it takes to beat this game and save everyone inside of it.

Calm: Regardless of the situation, Sora is very good at staying cool, calm, and collected, and he has managed to find a way out of every situation he has come across. As FlameX, he will be able to use this to defeat even the strongest monsters he comes across, so long as he has the will to fight!

Flaws:
 

Stubborn: Sora is very determined, and, as such, it is hard for him to give up completing even a foolish, dangerous task.  As FlameX, he must learn when to quit, and when to keep fighting, if he wants to stay alive.

Reckless: Sora is ready to take on any challenge thrown at him, and this has gotten him into a lot of trouble in the past. As FlameX, he must learn when something is too dangerous for him to handle alone, as it may end up being a matter of life or death.

Loner: Sora has always preferred to handle things on his own, never wanting to resort to asking others for help.  As FlameX, he needs to learn to get over this quickly, because many situations in SAO require great amounts of teamwork to stay alive, especially when facing floor bosses.

Story Thus Far:  FlameX has logged into the VRMMO Sword Art Online, but as he was enjoying the game, Akihiko Kayaba, the game's creator, appeared before him and all the other players of the so called "game," and told them that unless they are able to get past all 100 floors of the floating castle Aincraid, the will be trapped there, and if they are killed in this "game," they die in real life as well!
