Koumori 0 Posted October 26, 2015 #21 Share Posted October 26, 2015 Vayrin happily agreed to watch us fight and plopped herself on the ground. I listened patiently as Manta explained the rules and sent me a half-loss duel request. I thought about denying it because I had a better idea in mind but I figured it would be better to keep the duel environment for it. Instead I crossed my arms and smiled. "I have a better idea. We each get one hit, all equipment, most damage wins. How about that?" I thought that would make things more interesting and leave things more up to luck, keeping our pride intact. Amira 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #22 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Manta unsheathed her sword, smiling broadly. "You do know that I'm using a starter weapon Koumori. I guess you don't think you could deal with me at full strength." Her eyes blazed with a competitive light. She waited for Koumori to accept the request, and when he did she sprinted at him, activating her strongest sword skill, <<Crucifixion>>. She supposedly only had one shot according to him, so she was going to use it wisely. She stabbed six times, tracing a cross shape into his body. She looked at his health bar. This fight was most definitely over, and shed only used her starter weapon.Manta: 56/56Koumori: 16/52 (-36)1(base)+3 (skills)+2 (Crit Hit)=6x6=36 DmgCrucifixion - 6x1 - (6 Energy) - A six-hit thrusting sword art that traces the pattern of a cross into the target.ID: 36358BD:
Koumori 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #23 Share Posted October 27, 2015 "Don't flatter yourself too much. That has nothing to do with it." I accepted the duel and as soon as the countdown ended I already regretted it. Manta was already on top of me and released her strongest move right on my torso. After the sixth and final blow I flew backwards and slid across the grass and came to a stop just next to Vayrin. Since I dropped well below half health the duel ended and Manta was declared the winner. I chuckled as I remained on the ground in a virtual pile of pulled up grass. "Well I'd make my move but your most powerful attack beats out mine so I guess you win." I turned to Vayrin and let out a sigh. "She just got lucky."
Vayrin 0 Posted October 27, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Vayrin leant back as she watched the battle play out. Although she didn't wait very long. It seemed Manta had the winning blow, and the first one. She smiled as Koumori slid across the grass towards her. She glanced down at him. According to Koumori's predictable response, Manta only got lucky."Right." Vayrin said in a sarcastic tone to him "I'm sure that was was it." She gave off a slight smile as she stood up and brushed grass off her."Well, that was pretty entertaining." Vayrin gazed upwards into the sky. The sun was just about to set on the other side of the floor. "I guess we should head back. Or I should at least." She returned a glance to the two, and slowly bowed "I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me." She looked back up at them. She smiled again and held out her hand for a handshake. Amira 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #25 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Manta shook Vay's hand, smiling. "You don't need to thank us. You got me my rematch with Kou, that's repayment enough. Plus, it's both mine, and my guilds goal to help low level players get stronger." She stepped back and looked over at Koumori. She couldn't help chuckling a bit. "I didn't realize id surpassed you that much." She was lucky that she was using a starter sword. Shed done the calculations in her head, and if she had been using the sword that was currently being made for her in a shop, Koumori would no longer be with them. And she definitely didn't want that,
Koumori 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #26 Share Posted October 27, 2015 "Trust me, it was" I said jokingly to Vayrin in response. I stood up with her an similarly began brushing grass off myself, although I had a lot more to deal with. She thanked us genuinely for our help and said that we, or at least she, should probably get going. I figured she had seen quite enough dor her first day so I agreed with her, but Manta spoke before I did yet again. "Oh, well have our real rematch when we're both a full strength. Don't worry, you're not that far ahead" I said as I winked at her. I turned to look at Vayrin to offer my words. "Really though, it was our pleasure. We always like to help newer players out. If you need anything else just let us know." I swiped my right hand and brought up my menu. After I few swipes I sent a friend request floating in front of Vayrin.
Vayrin 0 Posted October 27, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Vayrin had half expected their response. By now she had gotten to know both of them a little better, so as per usual, they continued to act humble towards her thanks. It was nice to know players like this were still alive. Not like the meat-heads who were only in it for themselves, trying to leave everyone else behind. Vayrin's attention was taken from Koumori and Manta for a moment, when she got a notification on her menu. It was a friend request from Koumori...She hadn't gotten one of these before. She had been a loner since the start of SAO mostly. She stared at it for a moment, her eyes reflecting it's glow. She slowly lifted her hand to press the circle icon. She hesitated for a moment, then she slowly pressed down on it. The request disappeared and she looked back up at Koumori. "I'll be sure to do that then." She said smiling. Amira 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #28 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Manta wasn't going to send a friend request to someone she had met so recently. It wasn't that she didn't like Vay, it just took a lot more for her to trust someone with her position at all times. It had taken a life threatening fight and then what amounted to a date before she'd sent him one. "Good luck. Im an alchemist, so if you need potions just stop by my shop. I'm usually there when im not hunting for materials." She said to Vay, looking over at Koumori.
Koumori 0 Posted October 27, 2015 #29 Share Posted October 27, 2015 "Good." I said in response to Vayrin. I was glad she decided to accept, she seemed unsure for a moment. I wasn't surprised when Manta didn't send one too, that's who she was. Plus she did the same with me. If the persons worth it she'll come around. She did extend an offer to come for her shop so that was enough. Well, it looked like everything was wrapped up so I spoke up. "Guess that's it for now then. Nice meeting you Vayrin. See ya Manta." I was ready to go, but I'd wait for them to make the decision too. I didn't want to awkwardly leave.
Vayrin 0 Posted October 27, 2015 Author #30 Share Posted October 27, 2015 "Thanks again." She said, hoping that was enough to satisfy them. She didn't really have anything else to offer. "If I need any potions, I'll be sure to drop by." She said to Mant smiling. Things to have seemed well for today. It was actually the most productive day for Vayrin in a while. She managed to slay a mob which was a huge stepping stone for her. Honestly, how hard could it be to slay more? "Hopefully we cross paths again." She said to them. She was feeling more confident now. She knew what she was going to do in this game now.
