[SP: F4] Whispers in the Wind [Complete]

Recommended Posts

Mid day had brought about a high noon orange of a glowing sun in the midst of a freshly fallen array of white powder. The red and white uniform of the Soldier stood amongst the edge of town surveying the land along with her map out in attempt to uncover all the blacks squares in her map data. Come whatever may, with a route in mind, the female lead her way through the treacherous terrain once again to uncover those black boxes. Honey eyes were set due East as she made her way through what appeared to be a whipping and cold bitter wind snapping and biting across her exposed flesh. Without so much as a flinch, however, she continued her path without waver and set in motion once again as she pushed her way through the thickening snow grounds. With her Masamune held steady in one hand, white knuckles bore down into the hilt as she noticed a group of crystal golems coming forth. Making sure she had the right equipment set up for her solo adventure, everything seemed to be in order. Turning to face them with a hungry look in her eyes, she swept the blade back and forth and questioned herself in the process, "What reason to become stronger? For myself, for my friends...? Why?"

As she stepped into the aggro zone of the three Crystal Golems, they turned their heads towards her, their crystal like skin reflecting with the rays of the sun giving them an ominous orange glow. Raven hair was swept to the left side of her face, ruby red lips snarled as she moved forward with speed enabling her <<Sprint>> with the rush of the wind blowing over her the Masamune blade pulsated and came to life with an ivory scarlet hue. <<Gen Getsu>> was the highest ranked AoE skill she had at her disposal and opener for multi enemy units. Lunging into the trip with her blade stretched out, she swept it across their bodies in quick succession before popping out the other side. Orange carved marks along their stoned bodies as she twisted herself back upwards and got into a defensive stance. One after another, their rocky hands came towards her, engaging her <<Acrobatics>> she seemed to shift in and out of their attacks with ease before they came to a stand still.

Opal rounded about her footwork and her Masamune had the same intensity as before, not wasting any time with this mob she quickly unleashed the same sword art from her repertoire of sword arts and exposed their weak points with a sweep of her blade. With a low grunt from the trio of enemies, they fizzled and exploded into digital dust blown in the winds leaving a nice lump sum of col for her to take along with some shiny materials used for another time. Inventorying these items, the woman placed her blade into the proper orante saya and continued on her mapping quest.

Opal, with having her ornate saya holstered over one shoulder, slipped down towards the ground in a snowy patch of flowers and began to shovel the snow with her fingers. Her clawing had caused her fingers to numb up a bit from the coldness of the frost, but she continued to dig around the patch until a decorative flower was unearthen amongst the frozen soil. Breaking it from the stem, Opal seated it it into her inventory and sighed happily as she was able to find something on the very first go in this field. Clapping her hands free of the snow, she placed them on her knees and stood erect once more. She scanned her map, made the necessary movements and began walking her own path once more.

Having found another material by dipping a crystal vial into a frozen over pond, the woman was able to collect a sparkly fluid of water for her alchemy. Corking the top and placing it in her inventory, Opal flicked the dark raven hair from her shoulder and removed the snow pebbles from aloft her tendrils. Shaking free of the snow debris from her armor, the woman stretched her limbs once more and gave a low silent yawn to herself. Despite have slept for only a few hours the night before, she was still nimble and alert. Seeing a mob group out of the corner of her eye, she sought out her energy pool as it was still vastly low. Shaking her head, she had to wait until it was filled up before tackling a mob. Perhaps she was good enough to take on a group of four this time. Not wasting any time on the issue, she moved away from the mob and down the straightened snow path.

It was bound to happen sooner or later, that is her luck running out. As Opal had saw something shiny in the corner of her eye, the trick was just the sun reflecting off a shiny sheet of ice. Thinking it would have been a shiny stone or some such, Opal was moderately let down by the fact she was deceived by a blanket of ice and rays of thr sun. With her left hand, lithe fingers folded dark strands of ebony hair from her face out of the line of sight of her eyes, pushing back the tendrils over her ear and revealing the crimson make up she wore to help symbolize her place amongst the Knights of Blood. They very thought of being in that guild kept her warm from the bitter cold of the winds on floor four.

Opal had come across of Harpys that had been flocking together. She was actually trailing them for at least a mile until they had spotted her in their field of vision. Cursing to herself, the Soldier of the Blood Knights went on the defensive before she could even get a sword art out. The scantily clad looking creatures roared towards her and attempted to swarm and over power her with their clawed feet. The iron of their talons seemed to find only the air as the acrobatic woman ducked, weaved and danced out of harm's way.

The Snow Harpy's worked together to confuse Opal. Her black hair shifted in front of her eyes, the Masamune held tightly in both hands as she took a balanced stance with the blade upright in her hands. The first two buzzard attacked in sync with one another. Opal being the flighty woman that she was, evaded both strikes in succession. But it wasn't until the last two half breed birds came roaring back and struck her simultaneously. Into a snowdrift she rolled into from the strikes. Scores of damage lined her body as they both got impressive hits in from her relaxed defensive posture. Bringing herself upwards once more, the woman bore down on the hilt of her blade and circled around them finding a way to cut through their unified defensive line.

The leader of the pack was the one with the shinier feathers over its body. The harpy came streaming out of the pack as if to mow down Opal. Taking a defensive stance once more, the Harpy clawed twice at her face, six sharp orange lines covered her perfect features as Opal grunted from the shock of the attack. Swinging her blade with one hand and to balance herself, she landed on her left foot and then took a few simple steps in the snow and thrust her blade forward sweeping the air several times until the feather enemies were marked with orange streaks of damage. Opal slid out of the combat roll on her feet and back flipped once more to get into a favorable position. The blade simmered down as the Sword Art was done and she found the weakness in the flying turkeys.

Pulsating with ivory life, the soft glow of her blade signaled another Sword Art, with the enemies hanging on by a thread in terms of HP, Opal did not need to go all out and release all her energy on one enemy.Taking a familiar stance for a lower sword art, she readied her blade and took a lunging step forward and cut thrice the Harpy Leader as it fell to the ground in shaved pixels. Releasing from it's body was two materials and a nice sack of col loot for her efforts and patience. At the sight of their leader destroyed, the remaining mobs formed a union attack on Opal with the leader in the 'V' attack, knocking her down as the other two missed in succession.  Swiftly getting up for the next round of attacks, Opal steeled her nerves, she still had an ample amount of HP so she was in no real danger for the moment.

Once more the new leader of the Harpies had roused their courage and got them into a uniformed 'V' attack. Swiftly the leader once more pelted Opal with a clawed strike that forced her on her knees. Biting cold snow was kicked into the air and around her body as she was pulverized from the attack, her mitigation taking on a fraction of damage away. Swiveling on her foot once more and getting back on her feet, she was able to dodge the last two fiendish birds and sweep her blade over their heads but was unlucky in landing a blow. Cursing lowly, the woman flicked her head to move strands of ebony from her face. She was having a small run off bad luck, but she was in decent shape. Surely next round would be different for her.

Pulsating silver lined her Masamune blade as she rushed in before the new harpy leader could gather his troops back into formation. Engaging the Harpy Leader proved disastrous as it struck her face with iron like talons. Grunting; sweeps of silver and ivory traced the air as it was pixelated into digital dust, now leaving only two friendship birds left in the pack. In an unknown language they spoke to one another and decided to attack individually. With their morale lowered, the first one shot towards Opal, its talons acting to scrape along her mantle. The next in line charged like a bullet towards her. Evading the last harpy was easy enough and thus moved back into attack position. With only a handful of energy remaining. She had to stay on guard and replenish herself before she could attack again. That meant she was on full defense right now.

Opal revealed from her inventory a green vial of liquid that she quickly uncorked with her teeth and splashed the liquid in the back of her throat and swallowed the substance. Her body pulsated with a light green glow as her HP quickly went back up by a small amount. But while she was doing that, the 3rd in line Harpy found an opportune time to attack her. With razor sharp talons, it skied through the air and beat her with a mighty gust of gale slicing winds. She was cut from head to toe from the blast of coarse winds mixed with the frigid air. The soft glow of damage of her figure was minimal, but after drinking that potion she was unable to do much else. Thought she was weakened by the cold blast of the gale force winds, the next harpy attempted to peck her but she was able to evade easily enough even though the snow was thick with fluff.

The two birds shuffled over one another, shiny claws of destruction attempted to slice and dice Opal over her defensive stance. With the blade held tightly in her hands and the blade pointing towards them, she was able to successfully evade the flocking menace one after another with her quick foot work. They seemed to gawk and talk in their strange language unable to make feast of her body or innards. Opal was getting tired of this evade and strike tactic. Perhaps picking on a group of four harpys was not the wisest of choices in her regards, but at least she still had plenty of daylight left to kill and much more of the floor to explore in the process.

Once more, feet slid back and forth in the snow as Opal shuffled her defensive strategy. The harpy attack became intense and she used her blade to deflect the iron claws from taking bits and chunks of her flesh with them. Sweeping her blade from side to side to get them a distance away from her body seemed to do the work. Using her acrobatic skill, she was able to maneuver around an odd rock formation as she was pushed back from the hungry halfbreed of the birds and slid back into a defensive stance as they chattered back and forth on a new strategy to overwhelm them woman. At this point she had enough energy to release her next sword art, but she had to bid her time until the right moment.

Pulsating silver slashes converged on the third hapy, slaying it with the <<Hi Ougi>> sword art. The formidable sweeps of her elongated blade made short work of it as it fell towards the ground and died leaving a mat and a handsome sack of col in the process. Turning her attention to the last and frightened harpy. Her ruby lips curled as she moved forward, it hesitated for the moment then gathered strength and courage to attack. Swinging her hips to the left followed by her body, the Harpy floated by without so much as a graceful attack to land on the raven haired woman. She could finish this battle off with a quick sword art next turn if she was able to capitalize like last time.

It would have been foolish right now to attack as the Harpy seemed to be summing up extra courage to instill it with some destructive force. Watchful eyes carefully roamed over the flying beast as it moved in for the attack. Opal, using her swift and agile feet, skid across the snow and was able to evade a devastating slash attack from those pointed iron talons. Whipping her blade from right to left she regained her balance and slid from the snow. Picking herself up and watching over the injured Harpy, Opal would find the next opportunity to take it out and replenish her strength. Craning her neck, she smoothed the long black curtain of hair from her eyes. Once more taking a stance to attack, Opal readied for the next move.

Activating <<Wa Shu>> Opal's Masamune's silver blade had that familiar ivory glow as it summed up the power to slay the last Harpy. Sweeping the blade side to side in long patterns, the intricate slashes cut through the beast easily carving its hide with orange gash marks. The creature died in midair as it attempted one final attack but exploded into digital dust as Opal finally finished off the last of the birds. Breaking stance and collecting whatever was left over in terms of materials and col, the woman made inventory of her battle victories and decided to take a small break from her on before continuing with her map exploration of the area.

Coming across a field of red, green and yellow herbs, Opal's curiosity got the better of her. Finding that this part was undiscovered from her map, it was wise to know that there were material points that were new to her. Getting down on her knees and moving her hands from left to right to see which one was the correct mat, she finally plucked the stem of a red herb and held it in her hands. It was perfect, and she cradled it into her inventory and sighed. A cold hands rushed through the blanket of dark hair as she got up from her seated position and dusted the cold snow from off her knees. Rotating her shoulder slightly, she saw another group of four harpies but she was none to pleased with her current stats to take another group so soon. Thinking nothing more, she decided to move away from the aggro zone and continues unmapping the floor.

Placing a hand over her eyes to block out the bright sun, Opal had not seen any more gathering points for collecting materials. Sighing to herself, she had come up with a nice haul so far and brought her menu to discover roughly 85% of the map was now completed. Giving a happy sigh of accomplishment to herself, she could quite possibly finish it up in the next day or two and get 100%. Sliding the ornate saya between her arms, the woman folded her wrists over the edge as she walked keeping a keen eye as possible over the valley to spot anything new and unique. The scenery was beautiful here on this floor and despite the cold and bitter winds, she enjoyed this floor amongst any others so far in this death game.
