[SP:F4: Complete] Arc II: The Death of Love Series || Story 1

Story 1:

The Death of Love

Her penultimate sighs
Called softly on the kindling wind
Her saintly eyes filling with tears, lifting with truth
And then a golden flash like the onset of Heaven
Leaving her screams breaking my heart
And in the grip of fire
I knew the death of love...

Of the floors to which she had discovered, floor four was more than just a mob pool for her destructive desires, but the cold and bitter winds that licked at her exposed flesh gave her a feeling that no other floor could give her. On this floor, those cold and rapid winds which flushed her tan body helped harden the warrior nature of the woman. With her suit of pure white and red armor, and her Masamune Odachi, she was humbled by those howling cold and bitter winds. The frosty air sank deep into her digital bones cooling her nerves and her touch. It is here that she would discover that the only touch she needed was not from another, nor any love she could ever bear to give. Instead, she sought out to remove that part of her heart here and now and to do it without mercy or repercussion. Should she wish to maintain her dignity as a warrior, she would have to flush the [censored] that stained her soul, wash away the grime that encased her body and purge anything and everything that would make her feel warm on the inside.

A veil of orange smoke escaped her lips as it lifted into the cold winds blanketed by the snowfall of her surrounding area. Leaning on her sheathed Odachi, the woman was right on the edge of the safe zone looking out towards the west to where she would eventually start her journey to nowhere in particular. Her main mission was to get stronger, but also to find a way to bury deep all the feelings that pained her on the inside. She would remove the humanity of her heart if it meant becoming a stronger warrior. Many have taken such a path and have left the void of worlds in their heart where no trace of heat could linger. Just the cold casing of icy fingers straddling the fabric of her compassion. Hefting the saya over her shoulder, the woman began her march and not two feet out of the boundary lines of the safe zone, a silver rock pronounced with an ever lasting beauty was seen and then inventoried for personal use later on.

Dangling the cigarette between two fingers, the raven haired woman walked through the land in search of her next prey, anything from a snow wolf to a golem or anything in between. Taking a long drag from the stick, the woman unleashed an orange plume from her smokey red lips as the screen danced in the air. Honey eyes set upon what appeared to be humanoid beasts, upon closer inspection as she squinted those said golden eyes, she found them to be werewolves. Laughing to herself, perhaps the mobs that spawned as such were due to the newly increased level she received. Sticking the cigarette back into her mouth and clamping down on it, she started to reveal the odachi from its sheath. Whipping her sword to the side, she garnished the attention of the mob and her eyes narrowed. Puffing slowly on her cigarette until they started to make their moves. Like a ghost in the fog, she moved and twisted, weaved and flourished as she danced from the bloody claws of the werewolves, unfortunately, during this time as she swept her blade was unable to make contact with the snow frosted lycanthrope creatures.

Orange smoke spiraled around her as she moved like a phantom in the cold morning soil. Her foot work slipped in and out of the enemies clutch as the blade began to shine in ivory white. Reading the sword art and positioned in perfect pose, the master katana wielder set her body in motion. A flurry of wind wrapped around and started to devour the flesh of the Werewolves as they were drawn in like a vacuum. She knew the howls so exquisitely honed were those of werewolves; disappeared. In a blink of an eye the turbulent power of her technique flickered and died the moment the blade stop shining so bright. Her orange eyes found four lump sacks of col and placed them in her inventory, along with the trophy of their heads as materials. With her energy on the low, she would take the time to replenish what was lost...amongst the dirt on her heart.

Taking a long drag once more, she curled her fingers around the orange cigarette to remove it from her ruby lips. Curling her tongue towards the roof of her mouth and partially opening her lips, she snapped her tongue down as the smoke wafted around her and she inhaled and then blew out the rest of the smoke. Flicking the embers from her cigarette with her thumb, the woman hefted the blade over her shoulder in search of some more materials. The snow covered land was thick with a fresh coat of powder, making it more difficult to discern and the good eggs from the bad ones. Moving her boots through a patch of defined snow, she found a rock but it seemed to have a rather large chip it in. Nothing new here.

Continuing her snow filled adventure through floor four, the woman continued to smoke gingerly from her cigarette. It seemed these coming days had increased her appetite of the calming sticks as she was trying to stay away from her mind altering potions that seem to have adverse and perverse effects on her psyche. Paying no mind here or there for the matter, these citrus flavored sticks were more than she needed to keep her off the edge, despite the growing withdrawal of those potions to which she consumed daily. They acted as her alcohol for the most part, however, it was only a temporary fix for most of the reason. If she wanted to rid those pains inside her mind and womb, she would have to find some other means of pleasure to crack those thoughts. Jabbing a foot in the snow once more to uncover anything decent, she sighed and moved on her way not finding of anything decent in value.

Doing another snap inhale, ruby red lips sprayed smoke from her mouth as she jettisoned the plume into the air. Citrus scent wafting over her body as she continued down a narrow path on a snowcovered valley. Hunkering over a rock formation, a shiny blue orb was seen within the crevice. Snapping it out of the grip of the rock, the smooth ball was captured by her hands and placed into her inventory. Satisfied, she stood up once more, taking a luxurious drag from her cig and slowly exhaled without any special smokey tricks. Taking a moment to look around the area, the Odachi rested on her shoulder as she surveyed the area. A pack of saber tooth tigers, another possible low-mid tier mob unit, seemed to be running in a pack. Activating her <<Sprint>>, she intended to mow them down with her vicious blade.

As Opal had drawn close to the saber tooth pack, her Masamune swept from side to side, her ruby red lips curved into a smile while dangling the orange citrus flavored stick in her mouth as the smokey aroma filtered into the fresh cold air. Cupping her mouth over the stick she inhaled and activated her <<Acrobatic>> skill. She weaved through the orange blurs as their strong claws attempted to rip her asunder, however, of the three only one of them was able to sink their claws into her armor. Four hot orange streaks ran across her thigh upon her white armor as she twisted around and thrust her blade at them wildly attempting to intimate the prowling cats.

The raven hair was mixed with the snow as she turned to face the sabertooth tigers. White knuckles born from the grip on her Masamune as their strong paws sunk into the snow. Her blade began to hum an ivory glow, to which she began her <<Haku Senpu>>. This art was becoming very familiar with her the more it was used, able to dish out the damage as well as a stunning factor added if the initial strikes were not enough. Resting the blade in the air with both hands forward, she dashed in like a hurricane. A blur or white, red and ivory graced the flesh of the sabertooths until they fell victim to her unbeatable sword art. Whipping the blade to the side and sheathing it, the sabertooths grunted their last breath and exploded into digital matter. Four fat sacks of col dropped down to the ground along with their tusks as an extra drop. She could probably grind these items into decent damage status update potions if needed. With that she hefted the saya on one shoulder, took a long drag from her cig and expelled the citrus orange smoke from those moistened lips and continued on her way.

Deeper into the snow covered land, the raven haired woman was in an endless search of materials as well as herself. Despite not narrating her thoughts particularly on who she would eventually become, the battles showed more and more definition in strikes. They would become pivotal roles in her world as much as her personality. Taking action and not hesitating was what made warriors-warriors. Opal had given thought to her untouchable side, perhaps it was for the best that she steered clear away from any relationships ever. As her Master once told her, the only real relationship she needed was that of her sword. The blade never complained and she found warmth in the object, and she would use it to carve out the insignificance of love from her callousing heart. Then she was a fickle woman...falling on times of need even by those around her. It was a struggle to cope with being an individual and finding for independence and then having to turn and lean on someone for help.  Kicking the snow in the ground to uproot a frozen plant, a quick look demonstrated it was none of value.

A second kick from the snow uprooted a massive rock which she had stubbed her toe on. Giving a slight unnecessary grimace, the woman knelt down and lifted the heavy rock and examined it carefully. Her ruby lips curved around the cigarette before blowing a plume of citrus smoke towards it before pocketing the item. Failing to find anything else in the area, she Soldiered on with many more thoughts ablaze in her mind. Back to the details of the fine line between the help and being independent...She could very well have both. But in this case, she would need to grow stronger as person and in the game. Master Myoga had given her a path, she just needed to walk upon it and let it guide her. Feeling frustrated and tired, the woman released from her mouth the stick and placed it between her fingers giving a casual flick of her ebony hair off her shoulder.

"Had I known they would all leave me, I wouldn't even begun a relationship with them." she spoke openly towards herself with no one in particular around, besides the lofty fall of fresh snow.

"Mmm...useless..." she flicked a small pebble that looked shiny enough but it was just that, a plain old pebble. It plunked into the snow creating a minor crater in the perfect sheets of snow over the ground. Taking a long excessive drag from her orange stick, she felt like she had been puffing away at the same one for at least an hour now. She shook her head, light white snowflakes dissolving into nothingness as she brushed it with her hand and continued on her journey. The world on this floor was vast and the pace she was going kept her warm from the climate, despite it not having any other real effect on her exposed skin. Coming across a frozen lack, thin dark brows raised from their stationary position and she spotted a few wings creatures just over another hill.

Stepping within the aggro zone Opal noticed a flock of Harpies but their feathers were blackened and tainted with some sort of ghostly looking aura. Their shiny red eyes looked to her and immediately she felt the sting of a turbulent gust of winds blast into her armoring and cut her from head to toe. Orange gashes appeared from the cutting blast of winds released by the muscled fabric of the harpy's wings. Steeling her body and getting up, she <<Charged>> and <<Sprinted>> towards the group, all the while ivory hue started to pulsate along the edge of the blade and she swept the blade across their bodies. A torrent of power escaped the sweeping motion of the blade as it brought dangerous gale forces winds to wrap around her body and eviscerating the harpies in one sweep. It took little effort for the woman to remove their ugly beaked faces from her mind as she collected her loot and moved onto the next mob that would fall under her Masamune.

Picking up a shiny green stone, Opal had placed it swiftly in her inventory and moved on to her destination to where that ever was. Hoisting the saya over one shoulder, the woman's lithe footsteps made small indentions in the snow covered ground. Her chest going in and out she inhaled and exhaled a perfect plume of orange smoke from her ruby lips. Dry eyes set across the barren tundra as she came upon a solitary tree. She had familiarized this place she was at. Bringing up the menu with one hand, she swiped across and brought upon her map and nodded to herself knowing full well where she was. Flicking burn orange ash off her cigarette, the woman continued her forward march to the solitary green tree, its ground was once a collectors spot of herbs, perhaps she could get lucky and find one suitable here.

"Tch!" the noise she made was one of grief, expelling a stream of orange from her flared nostrils as she had examined the ground and found nothing worthy of her desire. Getting up and dusting her hands clean of the fallen snow, the woman swept back her raven flecked with white pearl snow off the curtain of hair before taking a second look around the area. There was another opportunity on the other side of the tree. What appeared to be oddly shaped and irregular looking fruit, she could use those essences for her purposes. Making a short trek to the other side of the rather large single tree, she stood amongst its shadow and knelt down into the snow. Her knees cooling off from the touch of the puffy white snow as she scanned the area for something interesting.

"Oh give me a break..." she mouthed with a barely audible tone as she cussed even lower. Sweeping hands of the cold snow, she had found nothing of use here. Plucking from her lips was the orange cigarette that she had been puffing away for most of the morning, her amber eyes shined brilliantly into a horizon that seemed to jump off the edge as she moved away from the solitary tree. Now that she remembered, this place was not the greatest of spots to find materials. Sliding an arm over the ornate saya, the woman rolled her neck and popped it as she walked. Her lips dangling the orange stick as her feet kicked through the snow out of frustration and out of boredom. Her energy revitalized, and she was good to go for another set of mob damning. Eyeing her prey, there was a decent nest of what appeared to be some low-mid tier dire wolves in the area. That was her luck...more wolves.

<<Charging>> in along with <<Sprint>> Opal had revealed the stunning beauty of the Masamune. Her elegant blade came to life with a dull ivory pulsating glow effect that illuminated the blade to the tip. Rushing into the pack, the woman swept her blade in irregular patterns drawing in the sword art destructive capabilities. If she wanted to, she could have swept them away with one blow with her top ranked AoE, yet she held back her damning and insisted on using some weaker form. None the less, her blade cut through white snow and dire hide as the blade cut cleanly across all four wolves until they were nothing but staggering dogs. They leapt at her one after another attempting to throw her off balance. However, the quick footed woman was able to dance and weave out of their alpha attack with ease until the fourth. That dire wolf bared its fangs down on the woman and took a mighty bite from her leg, however, the tingle sensation was very much that, nothing more than a tingle as most of her mitigation soaked up the damage.

Resting the silvery elongated blade over her shoulder, the woman curved her ruby red lips blowing a ghostly plume of orange from her moistened flesh, "Come on...let's not keep me waiting..."

An unlucky round had caused the third and fourth dire wolf to come at her with drooling maws. As they snapped at her and attempted to break her guard, the woman was forced to take the two damaging blows but only a sliver of her HP had been dropped. Unable to swing her blade around to lop off their heads, Opal had used her efforts to dance around the first and second injured wolves. They had jumped and snarled and slashed with their heavy paws at nothing but her after image as she moved fluidly with the aid of her <<Acrobatic>> skills. Sweeping the blade left and right she once more got into a more aggressive stance and stared dead in their eyes one by one. Their lips curled and snarled waiting to make her their next meal, but she would not give them such a chance.

Raven hair flicked over one amber eye as the blade once more radiated with a stunning ivory glow. Had it not been for her lack of patience, she would have dragged this fight out further and she could not quench whatever thirst she was craving at the moment. Sweeping the blade in irregular patterns of the snowy field, the damning silvery Masamune cut through the snow and the likes of the injured dogs like nothing as they were swept into digital oblivion. Sighing to see no pouch of Col had been dropped, she gathered up the mundane crafting materials and slid her beastly weapon into its ornate saya once again after cleaning it of any impurities. Shifting her weight and plucking the orange cig from her lips, she allowed the smoke to escape ruby lips as she wondered on her next destination. This floor was clear of any harm to her, perhaps her next move would be going up to the damn desert floor above this one. She did not want to be stuck in such heat, but if it made her stronger, that her complaints would have to be buried...along with the Love she had cut from her heart.

Flicking a curtain of black from her eyes, the woman enjoyed the last remaining toxicity she could from her cigarette before flicking it into the winds as she came upon the town of Snowfrost. Her adventure for the day had brought her a nice lump sum of col along with many mats which would prove useful to her alchemy later on. All that was left to do was leave the snow city and start her journey on the next floor, perhaps the improved monsters there would give her some better loot rewards, if not...Hell, at least she would come up with something to make her stronger and map out that floor which she had been taking her sweet ass time with. Noting the foreboding disarray of the floor she was about to go to. She followed the short path to the teleport plaza and whispered the name of Armadillo, to floor five and that damning desert.
