About: History/personality

Champion is a twenty-six year old career criminal. He didn't start out that way, but over-time when you have nothing to eat, or even drink, you go to those who will help you-no matter how shady they seem to be. At first they start you off with easy jobs, take this here, pick up this there, but then you graduate to the big-boy jobs of putting pressure on shop owners, scaring individuals into paying past-due debts, even putting hands on them if 'necessary'. You can't really keep your nose clean doing this type of work either, so sure you get arrested. In fact, you let the police arrest you. If you always pay your fines for the little things, they let the big things slide. After several years of living like this, Champion needed a change. Hearing about a new virtual reality game coming out, he decided that what he really needed, was a new reality. It was time to become a hero, not a criminal.

Virtues:

Compassionate : Holding a soft spot for those down-trodden, Champion will seek to help them when possible. He holds a goal of assisting all players through clearing the game, but realizes that along the way, their will be a need for day-to-day kindnesses to keep morale high. To that end, he will provide those he can with assistance, aiming at improving their quality of life in order to win their hearts and minds.

Strategic : Playing the 'long game' is one of Champion's greatest strengths. He believes that wars are not won on the battle-field, but on the preparatory work done before-hand, by the chess pieces moved months, even years, ahead of time. As a result, he will work to put himself at the greatest strategic advantage possible over other players with the end goal of becoming their leader.

Experienced : Champion is not only an impressive gamer, but also a man of great experience with leadership in real life. He understands not just what players want in the game, but want they want in their hearts. Speaking to the hearts with sincerity has been his modus operandi way of reaching someone. More importantly, he also knows when he isn't reaching someone, and will be able to adjust himself accordingly.

Flaws:
Paranoid : Wherever he looks Champion sees a possible enemy. Constantly guessing the hidden motives of those he interacts with, makes it extremely hard for Champion to make friends beyond a superficial level. He constantly sleeps alone and shares very little of his personal life, lest they be tools to be used against him at a later date and time. He has stared into the darkness too long, and now see's it staring back at him wherever he goes.

Rebellious : Preferring to inspire the people to lead themselves, Champion is always pushing back against 'the system'. He prefers small organizations over large organizations, believing that large organizations are too easily corruptible. Not playing nice with others, Champion aims to free people from the control of those who would exert their power over the weak. Working to teach people to think for themselves, he does so in a manner which borders on outright disobedience.

Judgemental : Demanding the highest from the people you surround yourself with is a double-edged sword. By expecting such, Champion can also come across as being overly-judgemental and as showing little to no room for failure. Not only is he Judgemental, but he is also harsh with the punishments he doles out. He views them as fair, others, may be less inclined to feel the same way.
