{F1-SP} Back at it. <Secret Medicine of The Forest> Complete

With the two Nepents desperately digging their teeth into Jevi's armor, there was not much she could do with the lack of mobility. The only thing she could try and do was to use her sword skill as planned, and hopefully be able to break free from their grasp by killing them. Her sword began to glow red from activating her Fell Crescent one last time. With a yell, Jevi twisted her body, cutting first through the Nepent that clung to her shoulder, and then through the one on her arm. Both completely vanished into data fragments as her sword passed through them. Jevi let out a sigh of relief. ~".. son of a bitch.."

The girl decided to take a short rest, so after shoving the tip of her Izunami into the ground to keep it standing, Jevi lowered herself to the ground and leaned up against a tree. She slowly closed her yellow eyes as she enjoyed this rest from searching for the Little Nepent containing the medicine needed to cure that girl.. Dammit, now she felt like she should not be resting.. Lifting up her hand, the girl went into her inventory and scrolled until she found a bottle of water. With the green bottle materializing into her hand, she took the cap off and took a couple of small sips to help rehydrate her from those fights.

Jevi looked back up at the canopy of leaves above her. Her face of content slowly turned to a frown as her mind wandered. She closed her eyes again before letting her head slouch forward to look down at the ground with a sigh. ~"Shaya.. I'm sorry.. but I can't stay depressed like this because you're not around anymore.. I need to move on with me life.. You too Grave.. you asshole.." She took a deep breath through her nose before taking the bottle of water and finishing off the rest of it, tossing the empty container at a tree, causing it to vanish. Jevi stood back up, pulling Izunami out of the ground. She was going to go and find that flower. Jevi: 24/24 (3/6)

Jevi did not need to walk much deeper into the forest before she spotted another Nepent. This one, to her luck, sported a red flower in full bloom on its head. Off in the distance, she noticed multiple other Nepents crawling around.. but none of them seemed to be onto her yet. Maybe she would be able to take this thing out without attracting too much unwanted attention. The girl lowered her body to a slight crouch and began to sneak forward, hoping to get the Nepent's attention and draw it out of the aggro zones of the many other Little Nepents around it. Once the Flowered Nepent caught a whiff of the girl, it began to salivate at the mouth and crawl forward, ready to engage her in combat.

~"Alright you flower-headed, freak. Its go time!" Despite being very afraid of dying and was usually careful, Jevi was very reckless when it came to charging into battle. She held her sword at her side and ran straight at the flowered Nepent in front of her, ready to strike it down as quickly as possible. As she brought her sword up and back down, the Nepent easily dodged it. The monster then seemed to cock its arms back, and spin ferociously like a top, knocking Jevi back off of her feet.

Jevi hit the ground and quickly bounced back up, growling at the monster than just hit her. ~"You'll pay for that." she said, yellow eyes glaring at the Nepent, clenching Izunami tight in her hand. She grabbed Izunami with her other hand to give it more power. She ran forward and with one powerful swipe, her curved blade passed right through most of the Nepent. The mob was launched backwards, where it crashed into a tree, causing the <Immortal Object> message to pop up. Jevi let go of Izunami with one hand so she was holding it with her left hand. She let out a slow shaky breath, still glaring at the monster as it got back up, showing its large white teeth.

Before the Flowered Nepent had a chance to charge at Jevi and even have a chance to attack her, Jevi decided to continue her onslaught on the monster. She ran forward, her armor clanking with every step. As she got up close to the Nepent, bringing her sword above her head to slash down at it, the Nepent used its vine arms to grab hold of the tree behind it and quickly hid behind it to use as cover. Jevi's sword crashed into the tree and bounced back. The Nepent then came back around to the other side of the tree, the leaf at the end of one of its vine arms balled into a fist. Jevi threw up her gauntlet clad arm to block the block of the Nepent, returning the favor with her blade to its face.

Out of desperation, the Nepent extended its arms out to the side and twisted its legs before going into a vicious spinning top-like attack. Jevi blinked in shock as it flew at the girl, who quickly threw her arm up in front of her to absorb as much of the shock as possible. As she felt her arm being pelted by punch after punch from the leafy fists, she felt her thorns begin to activate. She saw the Nepent's health drop a little bit, and the pain caused it to flinch and stop its attack. Jevi's opportunity to deal a finishing blow to the beast came when she saw it stop spinning for a moment. She brought her blade back and stabbed forward into the slowly spinning top, the blade going directly through the body of the Nepent, finishing it off. She was rewarded with the Little Nepent's Ovule, which was exactly what she needed to bring back for the sick girl.

Jevi quickly made her way back out of the forest and into the town where she had found the mother and her sick daughter. Knocking on the door, she was invited inside. She gave the mother the ingredient she needed, the Little Nepent's Ovule. The mother quickly used the ovule to create a potion, which ended up with a pink and green color to it. Jevi helped the mother give the potion to her daughter, holding her head as the woman slowly poured some of the contents into the girl's mouth. Almost immediately, the girl's high fever had gone away and she looked peaceful sleeping, rather than in pain. The mother thanked Jevi multiple times, and that she wished she had something to give her. That was when she took a small short sword off of the wall and handed it to Jevi, saying it was an old family heirloom passed down, and for helping her family she wanted her to have it. Jevi nodded and thanked the woman for her kindness before exiting her home and heading back to the Town of Beginnings.
