Vargas looked at the plant mob. It was so tiny, it looked more like a weed than anything. He watched as Tobi led the attack and slashed through the mob, cutting its health straight into the red.

"My turn then," Vargas said charging his blade the moment it left its sheath. He charged forward releasing the attack but missed the tiny creature.

"Just try again. I'll hold it off." Nobuyuki said, as he swung his sword to attack the plant. But his sword got caught midway by a tree branch. While Nobuyuki was busying trying to free the sword from the tree, one of its vines lashed out, attempt to attack Nobuyuki. He ducked aside relatively easy, continuing prying the sword off.

Vargas grew weary of the situation as he watch Tobi's sword get stuck in a tree branch. He tensed up as he prepared to take a swing at the plant mob. As it leapt over Tobi he swung, but instead it landed atop the flat of his blade and launched further over. "God **** it," Vargas said.

Measuring the distance between the plant and himself, Nobuyuki yanked the sword out of the tree, and drive the weapon forward max speed. The sword landed it mark, thrust through the plant as it went down, bursted into million pieces. "What a little pest." He sighed, and put his sword back into his sheath. "You ready for another one, Vargas?"

Vargas was seriously getting sick of this whole thing. Seriously though, his attacks just weren't landing and it felt like the mobs were just playing with him. Of course, that's only if the system actually did that sort of thing...or did it? He followed behind Tobi once again, keeping his sword out this time, keeping his eyes out for more <<Little Nepents>>.

Nobuyuki could see that Vargas is getting frustrated with the combat system. It's true, that it's hard to get used to when one first use the system. Nobuyuki nearly died three times when he first started. He stopped, turn around and told Vargas. "I know it's very frustrating trying to get used to the combat system here. What you really needed to worry about, is the first step. I'll demonstrate it for you. And look, another Nepent." Nobuyuki said, pointing toward a direction of another Nepent plant. He slowly approach the thing, took it aggro, so Vargas could breath easily. "First, ready your attack, hold the weapon firmly, but not too stiff. Then as you select your attack, try to time in when you first move, if you done it right, the system will guide you along." Nobuyuki explained as he ran in for an attack. He swung his lime glowing sword in a diagonal, slashed through the plant. While demonstrating how the combat work, he forgot about the plant retaliation, and got smacked by one of the vine. His damage mitigation reduced most of the damage that would be consider lethal to most players in lower level.

Vargas watched as Tobi tried to demonstrate the system for him. He had a pretty good idea as to how it worked but even with it he was missing. Hopefully, this <<Anneal Blade>> could help with that problem a little. Seeing Tobi's attack hit he prepared to make his own move, but stopped as his face exploded into laughter as the plant slapped him in the face in retaliation. Realizing his loss in composure he settled down and charged up his sword skill readying the attack. It'd been a long time since he'd laughed...not since she had passed away. He released the sword skill as it flowed bright red but flew right by the mob once more.

Nobuyuki was pretty mad about that slap the plant gave him. "Yeah... you get the basic concept of how it work. Now, if you excuse me...." He said, turned to the plant. Sword in hand, he dashed forward and cut the thing right at it's root. The lime glowing blade sliced through the plants, as it bursted into million pieces. Collected the quest item for Vargas, he exclaimed. "One more to go. then you should be able to turned in the quest." With that, he walked on.

Vargas followed after Tobi once more, soon they'd be done. He felt that things were changing for him finally. No longer was he feeling as depressed and withdrawn as once before, though he still didn't want to get close to anyone just yet. This was not a game, but a real life or death situation and someone he knew could die at any moment. His face took on a sterner look of concentration as these darker thoughts passed through. I won't allow that to happen if I can help it, not again, Vargas thought.

"Heads up. We have two option here. There'sthe Little Nepent on the left, but to the right, there're two boars waiting. If we went and attack the Nepent, me might risk the boar attacking us. Or, we can fight the two boars. your choice." Nobuyuki said, giving Vargas the halt signal. He scanned the terrain ahead, and found a few potential threats. They can risk it and get done with the mission right away, or they can prolong the mission, but stay on the same side. Vargas now stood between these two decision.

Vargas looked up and noticed the monsters that Tobi indicated. He considered the options Tobi gave but it was an easy decision. He wanted to finish the quest quickly and be done with it, but not at the expense of either of them dying for his foolhardiness. "I figure we should stick to the plan and take out the boars first and then move on to the plant. No point in us completing the quest if either of us ends up dying first," Vargas said, setting his blade at waist height as he waited to strike after Tobi.

"Very well then. I'll take the aggro. Just stay close behind." Nobuyuki agreed. He slowly step up, aggro the two beasts with his Stinger drawn. He held it tightly and open the first attack the first strike however, was caugh by a tree trunk. The sword drives deep into the tree, created difficulty for him to pull the sword out. Nobuyuki saw one of the boar coming. Quickly, he kicked the boar away from him. What he forgot is the other one. It rammed its head into Nobuyuki, hit him square in the chest. He shook off the hit, then warned Vargas while trying to pry the sword out. "Do not come near. Stay where you are and waited for me! The monster can still aggro on you, and they hit really hard." He shouted, telling Vargas to fall back.

Vargas watched as Tobi's word caught itself in a tree, this sadly resulted in him being hit by one of the boars. Vargas dropped low and took a step forward quickly about to attack the mobs. 

"Do not come near. Stay where you are and waited for me! The monster can still aggro on you, and they hit really hard." Tobi shouted.

Taking his advice Vargas took a step back as an extra precaution and waited for his chance.

As the boar ran closer to Nobuyuki, he managed to pry the sword out of the tree trunk and slash the boar by the body. It fell down onto the ground, then burst into million pieces, as it was defeated in a single hit. He switch the focus onto the second boar by the side. Couldn't react in time, the boar hit him by the stomach, as Nobuyuki loss balanced and tumbled backward. "Now! Go! You got a clear hit." He told Vargas, slowly standing back up onto his feet.

Tobi was knocked back Vargas had already dropped his weight on to one foot as he got ready to charge the boar. 

"Now! Go! You got a clear hit."

Hearing those words Vargas charged the boar as his sword started to glow crimson. As he drew near he slashed his sword across the side of the boar creating a large pixelated gash from its shoulder to hind legs.

"One more should do it," Vargas said in conclusion to his attack.

The boar after gotten hit by Vargas lose interested with Nobuyuki. It switched aggro to Vargas as it charged forward the young adventure. Nobuyuki didn't hesitate long. He jump in between just as the boar tried to hit him. With a swift kick, he interrupted the attack from the boar. But that leave him vulnerable for an attack. The boar husk hit him behind the leg, as Nobuyuki kicked the boar again, making it moved the other direction. "You ok? Go and get the beast." Nobuyuki said, looking at Vargas over his shoulder.

Vargas turned around as he saw The boar charge him. He figured this might happen. Suddenly, Tobi jumped in front of him taking the damage. 

"Yeah I'm fine. You did just take the hit for me," Vargas said with a slight grin.

He swiftly maneuvered around Tobi to strike at the boar, but when he slashed out he overshot his attack and only caused a whistling over its head.

Nobuyuki decided to take a risk move. If the move succeed, he can end the monster quickly, but if it failed, Vargas might be put at risk. Quickly followed Vargas, Nobuyuki thrust his sword forward aiming for the boar's neck. The sword drove through the beast, as it shone brightly before burst into million pieces that slowly vanish in thin air, sharing the same fair as the one before. "Well, that's taken care of. Now, let's end the quest." Nobuyuki said, pointing toward the Nepent waiting.

Not wanting to waste anymore time Vargas charged towards the Nepent Tobi was pointing out. They'd been at this forever. He'd hardly done a thing to really help complete his own quest so he figured he'd try to get in the first attack for once. Instead, the moment he reached the weed/plant mob he tripped over a root and went tumbling past the thing. He groaned as he rolled over to see if the plant even recognized him as a threat. Seeing as it swung a vine down at him he figured 'yes' and rolled faster away.

"Alright! While it distracted!" Nobuyuki saw the chance, and he went for it. He charged his sword art and quickly cut the plant. The sword quickly came back for a consecutive attack. The damage dealt was more than the plant can take. The Little Nepent shone brightly and exploded, left behind the quest time. "That's the last of them. Let's head back to town." Nobuyuki said, as he stood up, sheathed his sword into the holder behind his back. "You know, it's very irrational to jump in like that. You're only level one. You could have gotten yourself killed. But, your skill is improving. So keep it up." Nobuyuki smiled, looking at Vargas as the two headed back.
