(PP-F1) <<Earning a Living>> (Tenshi, Macradon) [Completed]

Recommended Posts

Tenshi had been thinking a lot about what exactly he wanted to do in the game for means of obtaining currency. Sure he could go around and farm off of the mobs that appear, but that is a little to close to death for his personal comfort. Of course he loved fighting the mobs, but what good was it if you didn't have a good weapon? In that moment, his mind had clicked and he had received a brilliant idea. Why not just become a blacksmith?!

Macradon strolled around the 1st floor from the inn he slept at. It was early and he had to go open up his shop. He would but the "Open" sign up on the door on his shop and walk inside. He would begin to clean everything, sweeping the floor, cleaning the desk and cleaning out the furnace and add some new coal to it so it could burn again. Today was a silent day, not many costumers so he would just go back out to the shop room and sit back in his chair and wait for some costumers to get by. Just sudden he became one of the known blacksmiths in the game, he did not think that he'd been known at all.

Tenshi had been glad that he was on the first floor in this instant, considering how many players shops had been in starting city. As he was wandering around the city, he had kept his eyes open for any signs of a blacksmith shop being nearby. Ironically, he just happened to stroll across an actual sign to a blacksmiths smithy. It had an interesting name in which he had only heard of a couple of times. An interesting name for this here shop, thats for sure. He had then walked into the shop and noticed a man with white hair and red eyes behind the counter. "Hi there. Are you the owner of 'The Blazing Typhoon'?"

Macradon sat in his chair rocking back and forth, bored. He didn't have any ideas of what to do today as he didn't have any request he could make at the moment and his creativity was lacking today, he couldn't find anything to make or design, nothing at all which was sad. He didn't have anything to inspire him, no muse but today was his lucky day. The door opened for his shop, and a young man walked into his shop. "Why yes, I'm the owner of Blazing Typhoon, and welcome!" he would greet with a big smile at his costumer. Hopefully something worthy of his time had appeared before him. "Welcome, welcome! How can I help you?" he would ask the man.

Tenshi had now stepped all the way inside of the shop and closed the door to the shop behind him. "My name is Tenshi and I am in need of a blacksmith's assistance. I wish to become a blacksmith such as yourself and would like to ask you if I could become your apprentice." With this, he takes a deep bow and stays down, waiting for the man's answer. "I promise you that if you help me become a blacksmith that I will do all that I can to show the world how amazing of a teacher and a blacksmith you are!"

Macradon was shocked, this was not the request he'd expected. "Oh ... a teacher .. uh .. well" he stuttered as he haven't taught anyone anything else than surviving in this game. How was he supposed to teach someone the way of the blacksmith when the only way he was taught was to train himself without much hassle, only to realize at the last moment that NPC characters helped with professions. He got the NPC help at the very last moment, but only to make sure he did everything as it should be like. "Uhm ... sure, I can be your mentor as of now" he would say with a confused voice, but he couldn't back down from this. When Tenshi began to praise him he just couldn't stop this, he had to begin this mentoring thingy. "To start off, my name is Macradon, I'm a rank 3 Professional blacksmith with a few years experience" he would start this tutoring session out. "I'm going to teach you the basics and you can use my smithy out in the back to try to forge something from the mats we'll be gathering" he would say and made sure Tenshi followed his words and wasn't confused of the situation.

Tenshi now stood straight and smiled at the fact that Macradon had accepted the role of being his metor. "Understood. Also, I apologize for asking so blatantly without us really knowing each other. I just figured -" He had then cut himself short and shook his head a bit, as to release all of the words that are being racked up in his brain. "Thank you for allowing me to become your pupil in the ways of a blacksmith. I promise I won't let you down."

Macradon would make a grin and do a thumbs up at Tenshi. "Alright! If we go now we're able to get a lot done today" he would say and turn off the furnace for now and lock the smithy in. He would close all cabinets and don his armor and equip his sword. He wore his steel pouldron on his right shoulder, his steel cuirass was worn around his waist and the breastplate was on his stomach and back outside on the robes he wore. The green robes of his made it much easier to get good materials from mobs which made this task easier. "Let's head out and find something we can kill and get the one mat we need from it, then we'll trade it off for some other material like ingots or alike so we can begin to forge!" he would say and escort Tenshi out of the door so they could venture out.

Tenshi had followed Macradon out of the smithy and watched as he had locked up the shop. Macradon actually looked rather impressive in all that armor with that fantastically crafted sword in hand. I wonder if he crafted all of that himself … He had then began to follow after Macradon so that they could kill off a single creature to receive materials from. "So not to be rude or anything senpai, but why are we going to get materials from killing off mobs? Couldn't we always just go mining for the materials needed ourselves?"

"Ahh, kouhai, mining for materials without any place to mine nor any equipment to mine with, why not mine from the rocks of the mobs with our "pickaxes" our weapons!" he would say, using metaphors to sound more intelligent, though it would probably make him seem weird and delusional. Mining for materials was one thing to do but without the right equipment mining was useless to gather good enough materials. Macradon would look out and see if he could find the biggest and baddest Boar out here on the fields as the small mobs wouldn't drop any materials if they were too weak compared to Macradon. "There!" he said when he pointed at a boar bigger than all the other. Its read gleaming eyes of rage stared out for a worthy opponent. "I'll got take the hate to make it target me, you can go and try to kill it while I do that. And if all else goes bad I'll just kill it myself" he would say. He would go into a low guard and rush forward with all his might with his <Charge> skill and end up right before the boar unleashing a sword art that made his sword glow. He cleaved upwards thrice and left 3 big red mark on the boar.

Tenshi had watched as Macradon had chosen the obviously strongest mob on this entire field. For heavens sakes.. He then let out a slight laugh as he had pulled his shinning saber out of its sheathe once more. Now that his weapon had been out, he had charged towards the Dire Boar and watched as Macradon had performed a single blow to the creature, dropping its health down to yellow. Holy hell! He had been surprised by Macradon's insane attack but couldnt afford to stop paying attention to the boar. In order to try and do as Macradon had said, he had slashed at the bull with all of his might. As he had gone for the attack though, the dire bull had turned slightly to the left in irritation. This sudden turn had caused Tenshi to trip and miss his target.

Macradon saw Tenshi fall at the side of the boar, he would quickly react by jumping in front of Tenshi, making a human wall between his apprentice and the boar. "Be careful, kouhai, this may be the first floor, but it's still a dangerous area" he said and looked back at the fallen Tenshi. "Get back up and fi-..." he said but was interrupted by the boar that went for a straight attack at Macradon. Its tusk were deflecte by the breast plate but Macradon was still pushed back slightly. The force of the charge was strong enough for Macradon not to be able to do any sword art right now. He had to get balance again and establish dominance over the boar.

Tenshi had watched as Macradon had shielded him from the dire boar. This had surprised him,  but not as much as the fact that when the boar had struck him, there was no change in the man's health bar. How strong is this man..? Since the man wasn't able to attack now, he had decided that it was best to try and attack in his place. He had maneuvered himself around Macradons body and prepared to charge up a sword art. Once his weapon had glown a bright golden hue, the sword art had been ready to activate. He activated as he had swung his shining cutlass downwards, causing a bright gold ray of light to shine down upon the dire boar, striking him with its full force. "Fell Crescent!" Sadly this attack didn't do much damage and only caused it to stagger a bit. "He's all yours now Macradon!"

Macradon charged up an attack and jumped up into the air to strike down at the boar but it managed to sidestep the attack. As Macradon landed on the ground again the beast would attack him. He would jump up in the air and use one hand to propel himself away from the boar just barely dodging the attack. No harm was made to any of them, what a pity. "Switch in!" he would say as he wasn't in any position to get into a guard to do a sword art, Tenshi should do the next attack.

(OOC: Sorry for being gone so long. I hadn't realized you sent me this post)

Tenshi had listened to what Macradon had told him and switched places with him in the line of defense. It had now been his turn to take a swing at the beast and he wasnt going to give in. He charges up his sword art and then releases it on the boar with four consecutive murder strikes all heading towards the Dire Boar's Head. The boar had been so impacted by this attack that it began to topple over sideways in pain, in fear of the fact that the next strike on it would be the last of its life.

Macradon saw Tenshi jump in and switch out the offensive role as Macradon called for, which was great. Tenshi would now be able to react to others when they would call a switch. That way he would be able to party with other players and coordinate attacks with them. Macradon would stand still and see the boar's health slowly fall down to 0 form the bleed effect Tenshi had put on it. Macradon would look into the loot screen. They'd slayed the mob and it was time to get the materials. Macradon would look into the loot-HUD. "Hey kouhai, it's a Mat and you can take it" he would say as he looked back at Tenshi, it was great that they found a Mat this fast. "Even with the right tools, you won't be getting Mats this fast by mining" he would say to back up his plan on taking mobs instead of go mining.

Tenshi would smile as he had graciously accepted the material that the boar had left in its remnants. "Why thank you Macradon!" He then let out a small laugh as he decided to pick up the material. "You can have the next few that we come upon then. If I may ask though, how many materials does it take to attempt crafting a single weapon? And how exactly do you incorporate enchancements into it? Sorry if I'm asking so many questions."

Macradon would smile at the questions as it may have been difficult to understand at first. "Well, you see ..." he would begin "... it only takes 1 Mat to attempt a craft, so that one material you have right there should be enough for you to be able to craft something, unless you mess it all up" he would answer on the first question. "And about the enchantments, when you craft it and it has become the tier you want or any other tier with enchantments you can choose which enchantment the craft need" he would say. The first ever item he crafted was a good item so no enchantments on that one, but the sword on his back, the sword he used now was the combat ready Crusader with the max damage enchantments capable of being there. "If you have any other questions, ask them and I'll deliver!".

Tenshi decided to shake his head a bit as he opened up his inventory and looked at the material. "No question here boss. So, shall we go and attempt to craft and item? Or should we try and get more materials before hand?" He had been super excited to attempt crafting his very first weapon, no matter what quality is had turned out to be. This is surely going to be amazing!

"If you're confident enough to craft your own craft, then grab your stuff and let's go back to my smithy and we'll begin smithing!" Macradon would say with a broad smile, his apprentice was ready, he could feel it, even if Tenshi wouldn't be able to craft something right away Macradon would have some spare Mats to give him so he could try again. He would begin to walk back to his shop so Tenshi would have a work place to try out smithing for the first time. Macradon had a furnace, an anvil and a mallet Tenshi could use, of course there was a quench tank as well.
