As the two had kept walking through the snowy tundra, the Avalanche had come into view. "Considering the fact that you want me to stay out of battle for this situation, I shall stay back here behind this tree. However, if you need any help, please do not be afraid to allow me to join in the combat with you. All I want to do is help and make sure nothing back comes to you." After he had said what it was that he had to say, he had hidden behind a nearby boulder that was covered in snow. "Good luck Opal. I believe in you." Link to post Share on other sites

Pulling the saya from off her shoulder, she pulled the Masamune from its home and decorated the hilt with her dainty fingers as they wrapped around the large hilt. Bending her knees, the sword began to glow with a silver and ivory pulsating light. Engaging <<Charge>> she would aim to take a huge chunk out of the Avalanche with her first strike, aiming her blow at the torso. As he came in contact with the large Field Boss, her blade crossed over the length of its body and drew first blood on the opponent. Falling to one knee, the creature attempted to smash the ground around her to jar her balance. However, Opal's quick footwork had stopped her from falling to the ground and a precise movement after she was able to evade a bellowing blow from the Boss. "It's pretty easy when you fight this thing over and over just for shits and giggles..." she laughed to herself, a blanket of ebony falling into her eyes. Within a matter of mere seconds, Opal had managed to drop the Avalanche by 70 points and directly into the red zone. She is a truly frightening adversary … I am glad that she is on my side. The power that practically emanates from this woman instills both fear and inspiration in Sinnon's heart, causing him to shrink down a little but keeping a smile on his face. Opal 0 Posted November 22, 2015 #24 Report Share Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Roaring from frustration and anger to allow such a puny girl to take a cheap shot at its own element, The Avalanche rallied its offensive strategy and charged for Opal while was standing guard. Bright amber eyes shot wide open when she felt the tremor of his attack vibrate her bones and shoot forth behind her. A blow so powerful that it had knocked her back several feet head over heels. When she landed in the snow on her back, the Avalanche continued to wail on her with frigid cold fists, each one slamming down into her body until she let out a terrible snarl. Placing one foot on the abdomen she shot backwards further into the snow and sprang back up to her feet dusting her body of the fresh powder. The Avalanche had charged towards Opal and started wailing on her, beating her down further into the snow with each whopping punch. It had gotten to he point that Sinnon had decided that he was going to go out and help Opal. However, by the time he had come out from behind the tree, Opal had already been back on her feet. Opal had been here and done that so many times now, it made her head spin. These games of cat and mouse were not something she enjoyed doing and this constant stalemate had made her anxious to finish this overgrown ice cube off. Alas, it was what it was. Sometimes she had been really lucky with the Cardinal System, other times...it was like a plague of bad luck. Although she should be thankful that it didn't retaliate as bad as last time. Each one of them stared at one another for a moment before they attempted to strike one another down. His hammer fist had met her long blade, each blow was deflected and they once more squared off against one another. The way that this fight had been going, he knew that it could really go either way. Either Opal was going to kill this thing in this next strike, or it wasnt going to bring her to the brink of death. He couldnt stand for this so he had prepared himself by crouching down in the same fashion that a track star would while holding his spear in his hand, ready to strike. If this thing gets another hit off on her, I am going to charge on in there and help her in some way. Link to post Share on other sites

The Avalanche reared back and rumbled in a low tone as it kept an eye on Opal. The blade sliced through its body with one single forceful strike and obliterated the creature from this world. Watching it pixelate into nothingness, Opal sighed and shook her head and waved to Sinnon. "Hey, it's all clear now. You got some pretty nifty rewards here..." Opal scanned her pop up message depicting what she already knew of. She got an extra skill point, and some col which was nice little reward on its own. But she figured Sinnon got the beef of it all with the experience and the skill points, not to mention that nifty item <<Snowfrost>>. Walking back towards him she smiled, "Mission complete. I'll go ahead and escort you back to Snowfrost before I cancel our party together. Thanks for keeping me company though. "Why I must say Miss Opal, you are truly a worthy adversary and I am glad to call you my friend. I think it is time for us to head off back towards Snowfrost so that I can head to the teleportation gate. I do have some unfinished business that I need to attend to on other floors. I will be sure to pm you whenever I am in town so that we may meet up again. I will show you how much I shall progress overtime Miss Opal." With this, he had let out a small laugh before walking back to the town of Snowfrost with her. Today has been a good day.
