So this was the first time I spotted these weird creatures. But, the shape and or look of the mobs didn’t changed my chances to hit them unless they had some built in stat buff. So I just charged at them and cleaved thru their health. Reducing it to nothingness. A smile on my face as I once again bathed in an ocean of blue and white shining crystals. ‘’Hehe, just like that. I guess there shouldn’t be many more mobs that would dare attack us after this little rampage.’’ I said to Shield as much as myself. But, better to press on and get this raid over with. We wanted to clear as much as possible, as quick as possible. But we have got some shinies that needed to be taken care of as well. ‘’Lets push on.’’ I said and once again took the lead deeper into the labyrinth. He shrugged, not wanting to question his luck and instead striking out once again deeper into the labyrinth. As they walked, they found themselves in another chamber full of oddly shaped crystals. Many were more conical, others were jagged and blade like, but there was one set that caught Shield's eye. They were red and rounded and nearly as tall as he was. As he stepped closer to the oblong spheroids to inspect them, he saw that they were also not as translucent as other crystals around them. "Odd," he said, inspecting the nearest one. However, as soon as he spoke, an ear-splitting crack rent the air, and a fissure split the great crystal down the middle. Out of the ensuing rubble there squirmed a small dragon covered in red, ruby-like scales. "Oh, perfect," he groaned, forcing a deep breath as the other now-clearly-eggs began to hatch into more ruby dragon hatchlings. "Heads up, you scaly little monsters!" he called out, his voice echoing through the depths of the labyrinth. "You're going to be very special, in that your birthday will be the same day you die!" The creatures did not take kindly to the threat, leaping onto Shield and slashing at him with their razor sharp fore claws on the top joints of their wings. His health dropped, though as soon as it began to do so, he could see the flickering up and down of the health bar which told him his regeneration was already kicking in. Zandra 0 Posted June 9, 2017 Author #23 Report Share Posted June 9, 2017 The battleing and exploring couple advanced deeper into the minelike labyrinth. This was truly an amazing floor. In my own opinion, I really liked it and wouldn’t mind moving and calling this place home. Thou I couldn’t really put the finger on what it was that pulled me here. Was it because of all the jewels that I could use in my crafting? Or was it because of that my soul have became darker and because of that I wanted to be on a darker place? Or maybe just that I really liked the landscape? Thou it didn’t mattered now. My only goal now was to find as much map-data as possible. Hopefully even find the boss room. I watched as Shield inspected some kind of egg-shaped rocks that was close to his size. A single word was herd from him. Then I got a thougth of what it was and my axe flew to my hands. ‘’Watch out Shield!’’ I shouted. But it was too late. The eggs had hatched and out came four dragon-babies. Next moment I darted forward, speed increased with the chargeskill. ‘’You little bastards, I will make sure that his words is the truth.’’ And from only one attack, I almost did just that. Her restores were depleted down to nearly the same point of their opponents' health. This one is gonna be by the skin of our teeth. Clenching his fist around the handle of his axe, he summoned up another load of energy before opening his palm, still holding the axe in his fingers, and tossed the accumulated energy to Zandra. As it left his fingertips, four miniature jets of fire spurt into Shield's face from the gaping mouths of the dragonlings, blinding him momentarily with light and the hissing of the flames. In the real world, that would have equated to his eyebrows and all of his facial hair being immediately singed away, but SAO was not quite to sophisticated. I glanced at my energy, and it seemed I would be able to do one final strike. Then I checked the opponents health and confiremed, one more hit and they would all be gonners. ‘’Hehe, its good to finally have you awake then.’’ I said in a jokingly teasing tone. Then I lowered my stance, prepared to strike down on the mobs once again. This time, a single word left my mouth. ‘’DIE!!!’’ I screamed and rained down swings on the dragonlings. The black blade cleaved thru the mobs that didn’t had a chance against my power. Even when I use my second weakest area of effect attack. I saw their health quickly being reduced to nothing. The bottom of the axe was planted on the ground and I held the rest up with my right hand. ‘’Well, I guess that’s it right?’’ I said and looked at my companion. The tinkling of his menu sounded as he pulled up his map to examine their progress. A large portion of the labyrinth had been uncovered, and although it did not contain the boss room, it narrowed down where it could not be. "I suppose that's enough progress for one day," he said aloud. "We should head back and check in with the others. Rushing in all gung-ho is all well and good, but it's still a new floor, and they'd probably be glad to know we're still in one piece." Turning back the way they had come, Shield led them back to the entrance, tracing their steps room by room until the familiar entry doors came into view. He pointed to the welcome sight. "Dead ahead," he said with a note of finality. "Looks like we're the first ones to emerge from the labyrinth in one piece. Let's hope everyone else it okay."
