History

At first , Rin appears to be a boy-ish female , especially online. Her persona personality seems to also play on the fact that she,sometimes, passes as a boy just to not be asked the typical questions of female gamers. Though , once people she was getting closed to knew she was a female , she'd drop the 'All mighty boy' act and act how she really is. She's a sweet ball of energy, more often than not. The girl keeps her usual smiles to herself, though she does express her feelings in a rather plain way.

Rin comes from a wealthy family in the north of Japan.She was always intrigued by swords and their techniques. At her 8th birthday, her parents decided to engage her in a kenjutsu course, in which she derived to a double kodachi style. For some odd reasons, the girl liked the fast paced way to wield these swords. When she heard of the release of the Sword Art Online , her and one of her friend in the kenjutsu classes decided to apply for the beta.

Though , her luck had ran out as her friend got in the beta but not her. She was mad, but a couple months later, her friend thought the game really wasn't for her. Rin then decided to buy it, with her parent's money, from her friend, a couple of days before the official release. Having the game not even a week before it, Rin didn't think it'd be a good idea to play just to loose the progress that she had just done. She simply waited to the release to finally put her NerveGear on, to enter the deadly game...

 

Virtues
Appreciation of beauty
Rin has always liked things for what they were , what they had to offer. From 'classical' arts to modern arts, a Graffiti to the Mona Lisa, she would see them as equal.
Even in Sword Art Online , she finds beauty in the world. 

Imaginative
The girl always had an imaginative way of thinking about things... and insults. She's usually imagining herself along the world of the books she reads, she often knows a weird
way to solve everyday problems and has always something out of the box in her sleeves.

Good memory
Rin has an pretty good memory compared to many others. She can remember most of the time what people do or wore in quite the details.
Though , despite her good memory she often forgets names.


Flaws
Blunt
Rin is very direct person, she clearly doesn't hide her opinions. This feature of her has caused her to be hated by some, due to the fact that she used the words
she wants whenever she wants. Insults, disgusting expressions or her simple body movements can show that.
 

Theatrical
Rin as a flair for over dramatizing situations, doing things in a ‘big way’ and love to be ‘centre stage’. This flaw hasn't caused her any harm, but
she does act like a little attention seeker. This is usually not shown as much when she's just with friends.
 

Temperamental
Rin has an irritable temper. She has many , many mood swing during the day for pitiful reasons. She doesn't really get more aggressive,
simply madder and madder at herself or others, depending on the situation.
