  1. His reckless move was going to cost more then the fox its HP, as both the other wolves move in on him, biting him as he sees more of his HP vanish. Cursing to himself, he starts to watch them circle him again. He was playing purely on the defensive, and it was time to change that. Gripping his sword tightly, he rushes forward, jumping into the air as he tries to bring his sword down on one of the wolves. Missing with his attack, he does his best to recover.

  2. Seld starts to wish he had thought this through better. Individually, each wolf wasn't much of a threat to him, but why did he have to take on four at once. Even if they only get a shot off on him every now and then, eventually he was going to be in big trouble. As one of the wolves lunges forward at him, he narrowly manages to get out of the way of it. Suddenly he sees another wolf lunge forward, realizing the target was the fox, he abandons all reason, lunging forward at the one going after the fox. His attack fails, as he sees the foxes hit points start to drop.

  3. Seld turns, trying to keep the remaining three wolves in his vision. As he moves, he slowly backs up to where the fox is, to help protect it as well. He had rushed in recklessly to save this poor thing, so he wasn't going to let it die after he already started the fight. He waited as the wolves circled him. As one moves in for the attack, he dodges left of its bite, trying to bring his sword down on its neck. It recovers quickly however, and he misses as it jumps backwards.

  4. Selds victory is short lived, as he quickly realizes that he is now the focus of the Wolves aggression. They ignore the fox, which appears to be injured, and begin to circle him instead. He looks left and right, doing his best to keep track of them, but one of the wolves manages to lunge in and bite at his ankle. Frowning as his hit points drop, he tries to stay rational. Attacking in anger again at the one that hit him wouldnt help his case. Instead he focuses on the already injured wolf, moving forward quickly and thrusting his blade at it. With a satisfying sound, the wolf erupts into data shards that fade away defeated.

  5. Seldentar continues to walk, trying to find any sort of monsters that might be hiding materials, when he heard a strange welping noise. Rushing in the direction he heard it in, he suddenly finds himself in a small clearing. What surprises him the most, are the wolves circling a small fox. In an instant, he realized it must be the same fox from earlier. Strange that npcs would attack each other. Still, 4 wolves vs just him, doesnt seem like the type of fight he wanted to get into, especially being new to the floor. Still, as he sees the fox sitting in the circle, he cant help but feel bad. The poor creature had only run away because he had raised his sword at it. As one of the wolves, starts to go in for the kill, he rushes forward, sword drawn.

    "Hey, get away from it!"

As he gets close, he brings his sword down hard at the nearest wolf. With a satisfying sound, his blade finds its mark, digging a large red gash into the wolf.

  6. As he cautiously walked forward, the Fox, turned to look at him, staring at him with a look of what could only be described as fear. No, he told himself, its just a game. He raises his sword, the light from between the trees glinting on the red blade as he prepared to swing it down at the creature. Still, for some reason he couldn't do it. As much as he wanted to tell himself it was just a game, the fact that he could clearly see the creature was afraid made him hesitate. In that moment, the fox took off running. Seld sighes, and lowers his sword. Maybe that wasn't a monster in the forest after all, he reasoned. If it was, it would have attacked him not run away.

  7. Seldentar starts his day deciding to explore floor two a bit more. He was always looking for rare crafting materials, but had to keep reminding himself that just being a crafter wasnt going to be enough. He had limited combat skills, but he had to perfect those if he wanted to ever join the front lines. He hummed a song to himself as he walked, enjoying the breeze on his face as he entered a forest area. Walking along, he suddenly noticed a small fox in the path up ahead. Hesitatingly, he draws his sword. He had a thing about hurting animals, but this was a game after all, and it wasn't real. It was just created by the system to try to kill him and steal the rest of his hit points.

  8. Seldentar nods, thinking about it for a moment. He remembers reading in the digital paper that some people wrote about scorpions on one of the floors, with metal plating on them. He tries to think back, and then after a few moments gives up and just asks.

"Have you heard about metal plated scorpions on one of the upper floors that the front lines opened? I can't remember the details, but if one of those had a paralyzing venom ability, their armor plates might be just what we need. Typically creatures cant poison themselves with their own venom in the real world I think. If we can get some of those plates, or maybe even just some of the venom the scorpions have, the armor we make out of them might be able to withstand, or at the very least weaken the effects of paralysis. Of course, I havent seen these creatures myself, i still havent gotten past this floor. But I can come with you if it will help get them."

He seems fidgety as he talks about going beyond floor two, a mixture of nervousness, and excitement to see how he would fare.

  9. Seld nodded, following behind him, keeping an eye on the forest. It was indeed going to be a long day, and a risky one at that. The further out they travelled, the harder it would be to get back in case of an emergency. They were going to need to be careful out here.

  10. Seldentar grins, grabbing his hand.

"Its a deal. So, why dont we start with the mountains. We will have a pretty good view of the area from there, and might find some hidden caves. Plus, if your looking for stone, thats definitely the place to start."

Seld will draw his sword after they begin to move, keeping himself at the ready in case they run into anything dangerous.

  11. Seldentar nods, doing a quick inventory check to see how many crafting materials he has left.

"What type of enhancement are you looking for. I have some standard Materials to work with here, but if you want something more exotic, it might help if we go find some specific materials. That depends on what you want it to do however.

  12. Seldentar accepts the party invite, then thinks as he looks around.

Maybe it's neither what if the stone is in a cave? Maybe a hidden area somewhere. If it was out in the open I doubt it would be just a rumor by now.

    He thinks for a moment.

Maybe there's some type of rare stone golem or something that drops it. Maybe its a rare drop from a mob that fits what we are looking for.

  13. Thank you :)

I actually run a RPG Tabletop based on a VRMMO setting, inspired by SAO and the .hack series, and i got jealous of my players so i started looking around for a RP of my own.

Another question, is there a list of what sword skills actually do. For instance, if i do a two hit combo attack, i noticed in one of the boss fights that they were having modified rolls based on what skill they used, is that posted anywhere public, i couldnt find it

  14. Seld noticed the Help Request, and checks the location. He was finally getting to explore floor 2, and was worried if someone needed help they might be in danger. He rushes to the listed location, his blood red sword drawn. Getting to the area, and seeing no monsters, he sheathes the sword on his back. Walking forward, he looks for who posted the help wanted, wary about the possibility of an ambush.

  15. He sighs, but figures he can always go back down to floor 1, and go hunt more, especially now that he is stronger. He instead focuses on Armor. He planned on taking medium armor, so he settled on chainmail. He places the ingot into the forge, allowing it to heat up. He thinks about his crafting attempts on the stingers while he does. Two out of the tree were worthless as actual blades, but maybe next time he could make them into something else. Maybe throwing weapons, or some sort of spikes for plate armor. Noticing the Ingot is finally hot, he removes it with tongs, carefully setting it down on the workbench. He picks up his smithing hammer, and focuses on the idea of chain armor. Maybe a chain shirt, to keep the weight down. He begins to swing the hammer, flattening the metal out. In his mind he forges the rings with sheer will, selecting the Chain Shirt option mentally as he crafts. Finally, it starts to stretch out and form...

    Second Craft of the day

For a brief instant, the shape resembles a shirt, but of melted metal slag. He stares at it in horror, before it shatters apart, leaving behind no trace of the horrific creation.

  16. As it forms, he frowns. It was definitely a Rapier, but it looked quite shabby. Checking the item Quality, he saw it was bad. He sighs for a moment, then sees another option. Reclaim Materials. He nods, accepting that option. He knew it was a long shot, but maybe at least he could try to get the stinger back and try again when he was a bit better.

Craft Die from previous post: 6

Bad Quality, 50% chance to reclaim material

    Loot Die

    1 - 10 Material is lost

    11 - 20 Material Regained

As he works the blade, suddenly with his final swing theres a shattering sound, and soon nothing remains of his Rapier

  17. The next day, after returning from a nearby Inn, Seld redraws his sword, staring it over. It was a pretty impressive blade, and coming from a level 1 smith, he was amazed at the quality. He was proud of himself for making such a weapon, and decided to try making one more sword today. If it came out good, he would put it on display with the others, then maybe try his hand at some armor crafting. He stretches, yawning a bit as he takes out his supplies. He decides to try to make a Rapier this time, and as he is going through his supplies, decides the final Hornet Stinger might make a good rapier. He places it into the forge, allowing it to heat up. As he moves it to the workbench, he focuses on selecting Rapier, and begins to hammer the stinger. With each swing, he focuses on its forming. Finally, the traditional burst of light forms as the stinger begins to transform...

  18. Seldentar nods, seeing it form. Blackened Steel, a fire red handle, not too shabby of a look to it. Sadly, after checking it out, there didnt seem to be anything special about it, but, he was still new to this, so there was bound to be some trial and error. At least it didnt break like when he was learning. He liked the look of it too, a fierce looking sword. He maneuvered his hand, opening the menu and equipping his new sword. Still, as he looks down at the forge, the game system allowed him two crafts per day. And with such a new shop, odds are no one was coming in any time soon. Plus, having some extra swords lying around would show his skills. He begins to repeat the process, heating the ingot, excited to see what it will be this time. He begins to hit it with the hammer, mentally selecting Long Sword as he crafts. Finally, the familiar glow begins to form, as the sword starts to take shape.

    PENDING APPROVAL

Seldentar stared at the sword before him. One Handed length, A red hued blade. This thing looked almost...evil. He picks it up, giving it a few swings. Decent weight to it, but faster then he had expected. He changes his equipment around, displaying his other weapons in the shop, and equipping this new blade.

  19. Seldentar goes to work, pulling out one of his metal ingot crafting materials, and using tongs, carefully puts it into the fires of the forge. He patiently waits for it to heat up, and after it is glowing red hot, uses the tongs to move it to the workbench. He holds the Ingot in place with the tongs, while using his other hand, begins to work the metal with his hammer. With each shot, the clanging sounds made it obvious what was happening. With the final shot, the ingot began to glow, and as he focused on the new sword he was designing, he saw it elongate, beginning to take shape...

  20. Tucked away in an alley on Floor 2, was where Seldentar found his shop. Barely even able to be called a store, really just a hole in the wall, he made the best of what he could afford. Moving in a Forge, setting up a workbench, he even put in a cot, so that late at night he could sleep there if he wanted. Finally, looking around, he had a shop he could at least be somewhat proud of. He happily went to work, almost immediately.
