  1. He reaches in, pulling a single ingot from the chest, a smile on his face. Not amazing, but still, at least its something. Unsure if more kobold are on the way, he hurries to stash it in his inventory, before hurrying back to the starting city. As the sun finishes setting, he finally manages to make it to the city fates. Sighing in relief, he rents a room in the inn. Relaxing as he let's his HP recover. As exhaustion from the days events sinks in, he falls asleep, dreaming of the real world.

  2. Shakingly, seldentar gets to his feet. His low HP and the light fading both worry him, but he decides to check what was past that hill. He can always run, he rationalizes. Moving around the other side of the hill, he finds the kobold camp abandoned, either they were out on patrol or there was only the two. What draws his eyes is the glint of light off the metal bands of a chest. He rushes over, slowly cracking the lid open and peering inside...

  3. The kobold advances, raising his sword to attack while he is still on the ground. Eyes wide in fear, he grips the handle of his sword. The kobold ms sword begins to glow, and Seldentar quickly chooses a lunge attack of his own. He needed to time this right, or face the mercy of the system. His sword thrust finds its mark, but not before the kobilds attack grazed him, reducing his HP further.

  4. After his last attack, Seldentar begins to weigh his options. The longer this fight goes, the more his attack patterns will be mapped out, and eventually he won't be able to survive this. He needs to change his tactics if he wants to survive. The thought of retreat briefly crosses his mind, but he pushes it aside. If I take another hit, then ill withdraw, but I still have a few tactics to try. Jumping up as high as he can, he swings downward at the kobold, as hard as he can. The kobold raises his sword, blocking his shot and throwing him back onto the ground.

  5. Continuing the assault, Seldentar spins around after landing past the monster. It, still reeling from the attack, swings around, expecting the same type of attack as before. He prepares to parry the attack, then retaliate. Parrying the first shot, he finds himself too clumsily swinging back, causing him to miss.

  6. Seldentar jumps back hard, as far as his legs will take him, and holds his sword in an offensive stance. He wo.t let this game win, and charges forward the sword skill activating as he runs, jumping forward at the last second, thrusting forward with the blade. The kobold, thrown off balance by the sudden change, takes the hit, sending its own attack wide.

  7. As his health falls into the yellow, a shiver of fear runs down his spine. Was this how it ends, at the mercy of a random NPC on floor one? No, I won't let this game beat me. This isn't over. He grips his sword tightly, as the Kp olds sword comes around slashing at him, he makes his move. The kobolds sword whizzes over his head as he ducks low, but he finds himself not fast enough to retaliate, as its sword sweeps down parrying his attack.

  8. With the kobold off balance, Seldentar goes on the offensive. He needs to put an end to this quickly, and moves fast to keep it off balance. As he darts past it, he spins on his heel, spinning around and slashing towards its back. His spin causes him to lose his balance, and he watches unable to defend as the kobolds counterattack violently rips into him.

  9. Seld takes a step back, mentally cursing himself for his rash actions. This death game was no joke, and he needed to take care. He prepares his thrust attack, lunging forward just before the creature reaches him, hoping to catch it off guard. His gambit a success, his preemptive lunge ends with his sword slicing through the kobild, its own attack going wide

  10. Seld raises his sword defensively, hoping to end this fast. He was unsure how many kobolds were in the patrol, and wasn't eager to be doing this with night approaching. He waits for the kobold to make its move, so he can counterattack. Moving too soon, he fundshimself under attack, his own falling short of its goal.

  11. Seldentars victory seems short lived, as he sees a second Kobold come around the hill. It must have been a patrol he ran into. He had heard that sometimes the camps were defended by moving guards, and cursed to himself for forgetting. He readies as slash skill, running at the Kobold hoping to get the first attack off quickly. Misjudging his attack, he swings to wide, barely recovering in time to dodge its swing, the light trail of its sword barely missing his face

  12. The kobold swings around wildly at him, but Seldentar parries the swing, jumping back out of its range afterwards. He holds his sword at the ready, preparing one of his thrust attacks. He waits as the Kobold moves towards him. Just as the kobold comes into range, he lunges forward. At the last second the kobold thrusts its sword as well, and with his sword skill active Seldentar is unabl to avoid the attack. Instead, he focuses on his own attack, it finding its mark as the kobold shatters apart in death.

  13. Seld curses to himself for being so predictable. As the Kobold comes at him again, he takes a more defensive posture. He plans on dodging the next attack and then countering with a skill of his own. As the kobold brings its blade down, Seldentar quickly sidesteps the attack. As soon as he moves, he brings his sword around hard in a powerful slash. He grins as the blow hits hard into the Kobold, watching its HP bar decrease by half.

  14. Seldentar started a quadrant based search pattern, moving quickly through the wilderness. With each area mapped out and checked, his optimism faded. Time was running out, and he needed to head back soon. One more area, he thought to himself, then ill head back. Searching the area closely, he was about to go back, when, as he came around a hill, he ran headfirst into a kobold. Eyes wide, he felt the impact as its sword cut into him. Jumping back, he drew his sword, lunging forward with a powerful thrust. The kobold easily parties his thrust.

  15. As the sword forming light fades, suddenly there is a shattering sound. The new sword bursts and breaks apart, disintigrating in front of him, leaving nothing behind. Seldentar shakes his head.

"Damn, that sucks. Still, at least I have one left. Ill save that til I get a bit better I guess. I should probably go try to find more crafting supplies. I heard there were some kobold camps, maybe I can find some more standard materials."

He turns, heading back into the city, and preparing to head back out into the wilderness. Glancing up, he checks the clock display, seeing he has a few more hours of daylight, not wanting to be outside the walls at such a low level at night.

  16. As the light fades, a wicked looking longsword, made of what seems to be chitonous bone, with the stinger tip forming the tip of the blade. Interesting to be sure, and a good first attempt at crafting, but nothing special about it. Still, a good first try, with the game limiting his craftings to two per day, he might as well keep going. He equips his new stinger sword, putting his short sword back into storage. Taking the second stinger, Seldentar takes it and places it into the forge. As it heats up and glows bright, he takes it and begins the process, hoping for a better result. As the sword begins to take form, he holds his breath..

  17. Seldentar turns to the smith npc.

"I am interested in smith training."

The NPC smith turns to Seldentar, motioning for him to follow as the game recognizes his request. He moves to the forge, pointing at it.

"First you bring the crafting materials here, and heat them in the forge. From there, you use the tongs to move the materials to the crafting table. You use the hammer on it, and it forges the item. Keep a clear image of the type of item you are forging. Give it a try."

Seldentar places the first into the forge. Not sure if he can craft such an item right off the bat, he decides to try anyway. After a few moments, the stinger glows red hot, and he carefully removes it, placing it on the table. Picking up the hammer, he brings it down once, twice, thee, four times. On the fourth hit, the stinger begins to glow, and in a flash of light, forms into the general shape of a long sword. The light begins to fade....

  18. After taking his time walking back to the starting city, Seldentar makes sure to take some time to let his health regenerate in case he needs to go back out. He walks through the town before picking a modest smithy, NPC run.

"Hello there, I was hoping to see about getting something crafted."

The smith turns, reacting to the player input.

"I can offer a variety of services here." As he spoke, his hand raised and pointed to a sign. A fairly standard NPC reaction. As seldentar reads the sign, the smith training available option catches his eye. Having a sword made was his plan, but the idea of making his own gear was appealing, and would drastically increase his chances of survival.

  19. As he sees the hornet die, the victory window again pops up. Nodding his head at the numbers, he again sees two more item drops. Scanning his inventory, he sees he now has 3 of those very cruel looking stingers. He shudders as he remembers how they looked as they cut into him. As he walks back to the Starting City he starts to think about that more and more. They were pretty sharp, would probably make a good sword. New to the game, he needed better equipment, maybe he could learn how to make them into weapons. He hurried back to town, eager to try seeing what he could learn how to make.

  20. Seld sneaks up best he can, and when he gets into a good range, draws his sword again. He is hoping that if he can get a good surprise attack off, he can finish this thing without losing any more hit points. One more he thinks, then Ill head back to town to heal up, and next time ill have a lot more HP to deal with these things. He moves closer and closer, before breaking out into a run, swinging his sword from the ground upwards towards the Hornet. It never even saw him coming, and his sword cut through it and it burst away into a stream of fading light before it even had a chance to respond.

  21. Seldentar drops to his knees as the second hornet dies, catching his breath from the fight. As the window pops up in front of him, he acknowledges his level up with a smile, nods at the col drops, then sees the item drop. Curious, he opens his inventory, and makes the item into a game object. The Large stinger that moments ago had tried to impale him now sat in his hand. He stared at it for a moment, before shrugging and putting it back into his pack. It was a pretty creepy memento of his near death experience. Standing up, he looks back towards the hornets, and seeing one a bit away from the rest, starts to move towards it.

  22. Seld shakes his head. Hes been gaming for so long in his life. He was not about to let this death game beat him. He waits, sword at the ready, for the Hornet to come in to try to steal away his life. His eyes dart to the top corner of his vision, looking at his hit points. He was fairly sure he could take at least one more attack, and it was time to show this game what he was made out of. He holds his sword high, hoping if he changes his style up the system wont be able to keep up with his sudden change in tactics. As the hornet comes into range, he swings down at it hard. As the hornets stinger is about to pierce into his chest, his sword cuts clean through it, killing it instantly.

  23. A grin forms over his face as the first dies, and he spins around not wanting to be caught off guard by the second one.

"Alright you stupid hornet, come and get me."

As the hornet flys towards him again, he starts to run forward, sword at his side, preparing on slicing sideways to try to cut it in half. As his sword is about to hit, the hornet brings its stinger up to try to stab at him, deflecting each others shots. The hornet shakingly flys around for another pass, while Seld notices its health didnt go down.

  24. Seldentar starts to move away from the area, trying to make sure more hornets do not join the fight. He was having a lot of trouble with the two he was already fighting, and his health bar quickly disappearing was worrying him. He didn't want to die in this world, he wanted to get back to the real one.

"One more attack, if i dont get either one after that, ill have to leave for now...."

He sees the two hornets moving in towards him, and prepares to lunge forward just as the first hornet comes into range. His sword begins to glow with the Sword Skill, and as the Hornet enters his range, he thrusts forward hard, cutting through the first hornet. The second hornet flys past, barely missing him with its stinger as the first bursts apart into light and fades away dead.

  25. Seldentar swears as he sees his hit points start to drop, whipping around as the both hornets group up again, buzzing around in the air. He takes an offensive posture, waiting, focusing on their movements trying to determine when best to strike. As they start to fly at him again, he prepares to attack. They attack quickly, their movement adapting to his responses, and he misses with his swing, barely able to defend himself as the first hornet gets in another shot at him, while he deflects the second with his sword.
