  1. Reaper once again decided to try and make a weapon for himself, and again another katana. He approaches the stash of materials in the corner and took the top one. Taking the ore to the anvil, Reaper thought on how he would try crafting a katana and remembered the lessons from the NPC. As he hammered down swiftly the material began to glow and transform. Reaper puts down his hammer and waited for the results.

  2. The bad item was really bad and Reaper went over to his salvage pile. "Okay. I guess I can try to salvage this material. It doesn't matter if I get it back anyways." he said, as he attempts to salvage his material. Trying to form the material back from what it was before. The material starts to glow a bright purple, and he was able to salvage the material.

  3. As Reaper had just opened up shop, he decided it would be time to make something. His first attempt would be to craft a katana for himself. He took one of the materials from the corner and put it on the anvil. Grabbing the nearest hammer, Reaper started pounding the ore from all sides, trying to form the metal in a katana shape. As the metal starts to sharpen up he finished with one last smash on top.

  4. This shop was previously a run-down and abandoned building, looking like it was a haunted place. It was then refurbished into a more decent looking place, which had a little more death to it. The insides of the building were painted in the color scheme of black, white, and grey. The backroom was a little rusty however, since nobody visited that area. Rusty- but efficient and decent for a designated workplace.

  5. Reaper feels the boar knock into him, reducing his own HP by a short amount. Angrily, he swings around violently, trying to cut the boar apart.

"Damn you you filthy piece of trash. You can't beat me!"

His blade makes contact, slashing apart the boars hp reducing it to a piece of health.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [1/5 HP]

  6. Reaper's anger was rising. He hated this stupid boar, he wanted to kill it, to murder it. He growled angrily as he rushes forward. All he wants is to kill, to get stronger, and to show this world and everyone in it that he wasn't weak. Slashing out at the boar, he tries to destroy it. His attack goes wide and he finds he can not land a hit.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [3/5 HP]

  7. Reaper jumps back, holding his katana up in front of him. He needed to kill this boar, this is how he would become strong. The weak will die so the strong can live, that's the rules of nature. And he didn't intend on being weak. Lunging forward, he stabs out with his sword. Failing to hit, he struggles not to lose his calm.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [3/5 HP]

  8. Reaper gathers his thoughts. He was only level three, and he had no real gear. He needed to get some more levels and some new equipment, and this was the best way to do it. Everyone was training and fighting hard to level up to clear this game. He couldn't understand it, why would they want to leave? This world had so much to offer, the real world wasn't worth returning to. Angrily, he slashes forward at the boar. His attack misses, and he frowns.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [3/5 HP]

  9. Reaper continues his ruthless assault, with each swing of his blade his anger and hatred of the real world is carried out. It was almost therapeutic, here he could take out all his frustrations without worrying about legal issues. In cruelty, he lunges forward at the boar again. His katana hits again and takes another portion of health away from the boar.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [3/5 HP]

  10. His katana drawn, he rushes forward as he sees the boars everywhere. Wonderful, he thinks to himself. The more that are around, the better he can train. Targeting the first one, he sprints forward, his katana drawn as he attempts to slice through the boar. His katana slashes into the boar, removing a portion of its hit points.

    Reaper: [9/9 HP]

    Boar: [4/5 HP]

  11. Reaper walks out into the field. Stretching, he draws his katana, and begins to move around the field. His goal, hunting boars. Confident he would be fine, he moves out of the safe zone, heading out into the wilderness. His mind was set, he had to become strong. In the real world he was weak, but out here, in this world, he could become strong.

  12. He had set out to obtain his desired profession, and had taken this goal a step further by gathering a few materials to use. He supposed that this would qualify as the day having been a success. Sheathing his «Starter Sword», he turned his attention back on the nearby city. One day, maybe not as soon as he would have liked, they would be free. He promised, that he would become the strongest player in the game.

  13. The old man leads Reaper into the back store room, and a bright symbol appears over his head. Reaper realizes this must be the end of the quest after all. He walks up to the man, and his proximity triggers the final event.

"Young man, you have done well today. You have much work ahead of you to master this craft, so I have a gift for you. These supplies will help you set up your own shop, and supply enough materials to get started for the first few days. Treat them well, and you'll have great fortune ahead of you."

  14. The NPC Shopkeeper looks warmly at Reaper.

"Well done! You have learned the basics of the three aspects of Blacksmithing. Now, to complete your training, there is but one final task for you to accomplish, please, follow me."

Reaper was outraged. This quest should be over already! He followed the NPC, angry he couldn't just cut him down. It being a safe zone, and he would fail his quest, he was ready to give up on all of it he was so mad at this man.

  15. Eventually, he thinks he has figured the armor out, and begins to work on them. He begins to shape and form them, trying to get an effect out of one. While not amazing quality, it would serve its purpose for this day, and should allow him to complete this quest finally. Handing it over, he lets out a sigh. It had to be over now, right?

  16. The shopkeeper looks at him.

"Very good! Now for your final task, create a armor. Any armor will do."

Reaper looks at the NPC with a blank look. No where in the books was anything on armor creation, and he was sure he failed those questions on the test. He looks around the room before finding armor materials. Unsure where to begin, he carefully starts to study each one, trying to find a way to tell what effects they might have.

  17. Reaper knows if he can't get this right he will never be a blacksmith, so again he goes to work. He selects the materials he is using carefully, measuring precisely to get just the right effect. Bringing it all to a boil, he waits to see what happens. Finally, a curved sword is created, which he quickly bottles. After watering it down, he hands it to the NPC Shopkeep, so he can finish the quest.

  18. Reaper continues to browse through the various ingredients, selecting some of the more powerful weapons. He decided a perfect curve sword would be nice. Mixing the various gathered ingredients, he slowly pours the next mixture into a bottle.

    Failure!

The mixture vanishes, all of the materials wasted. The NPC Shopkeep shakes his head.

    "Unacceptable! Try again!"

  19. Reaper goes through the various items in the shop, selecting a few to drop onto the anvil. He decided to try to make a steel sword first. Carefully mixing the ingredients, he begins to craft the sword.

    Success!

The sword appears to be of very high quality. He hands it over to the NPC, and it triggers the next phase of the quest.

"Very Good! Now, you must craft armor."

  20. The NPC Blacksmith reads over the test, then looks down at the student he had taken in. "Not a perfect score on the perfect weapons, but a passable grade. But there is more to Blacksmith then writing things down. It takes a certain touch. Go to the anvil, an prepare a steel sword. The materials are all prepared, you must simply choose which you will use."

  21. Reaper sits at the table, writing down on the paper that had been handed to him. It was a quiz on the various mixtures of crafting mateirlas and other objects to create weapons and armors. The first section he easily past. Then comes a section on perfect weapons. Reaper hesitated at this section. He had heard of the perfect weapons, but didn't realize that was part of blacksmith. Reading over the option, he looks for what would make sense to create each type. Eventually he finishes the test, and hands it back to the NPC.

  22. Reaper takes his time, reading through the various recipes on both weapons and armor. There were so many options. Curved Sword, Straight Sword, Katana, Axe, and Spears. He read through the books, absorbing knowledge and happily learning as much as he can from the recipes in the books. Finally, it was time for his test.
