Steel saw that the snowman that got attacked got mad and charged towards Rin and he got in the way to block it, his armor negating the damage before he swung his sword again, causing the snowman to go into the red. "Okay Rin, finish it off while I hold back the other snowman! Leave the tank job to me!" He said before charging towards the other snowman, leaving Rin to take down the almost dead snowman.

"Fair enough, I came here for a similar purpose but I'm not strong enough to be at the front lines yet." Steel said in response. "I got a long ways to go. In the mean time, I was just planning on gaining some experience and maybe do a few quests. Know any interesting quests out there?"

Steel swung his sword tiredly at the Queen Bee which dodged before attacking. Again, this attack's damage was negated due to Steel's armor. "This has gone on way too long!" Steel exclaimed in annoyance.

Once more, the battle continued to drag on as the two combatants attacked each other with little to no success. It was apparent that they were both starting to get tired. Steel himself found it strange for a programmed NPC to get tired. Then again, this was supposed to be virtual reality.

"Geez, there was no need for the sarcasm." Steel said in response. He then noticed how annoyed she looked, probably because it was hot. "Well, thanks for the advice I guess. Anyway, if you hate this floor so much, why did you decide to train here? I just decided to come here to train my mind to get used to the heat while fighting monsters. You don't look like you're here to get a tan either."

Steel swung at it again, only for the Queen Bee to dodge and hit back. However, it didn't do any damage due to his heavy armor skill. This is just going to go on forever! Steel thought in his head wondering how long this battle would be.

"Right you are." Steel said as the two of them began walking in the direction she pointed in. Along the way, the two of them talked about random stuff like normal as if they were back on that roof top together. It was nostalgic and it let him forget about the whole death game for a while. After a period of time, two snowmen monsters came into view. "Looks like we gotta kill Frosty." He said in a joking tone as he drew his sword. "Except these ones aren't so friendly. I'll tank and block their attacks, you focus on attacking. Don't worry, about me, they won't be able to do any damage to me. I'll protect you."

Steel was just getting frustrated at the amount of times he's swung his sword and missed the stupid insect boss. He just need one more hit! Calm down, I just need to focus and then I'll be able to win this fight. Steel thought to himself

Steel and the Queen Bee charged at each other again, when they got close enough, neither of them was able to land a blow. This is really an annoying enemy. Steel thought to himself as he was just one hit away from defeating it.

"If you want, we can do a quest together to get you that better equipment." Steel said. "See this armor I have on? I got it from a quest where if you can get certain items for this shop, they'll make you some equipment. There's also another quest where you can get a better weapon. I bet you want to get stronger right?" He said this with a smile. "I'll even help you fight a low level field boss when you feel you're ready. The more we fight through all these different mobs, the faster we'll level up and get stronger!" He said this in an excited manner. "Wanna start doing some hunting here? If we're going to go through those quests I mentioned earlier together, it'd be best if we learned each other's combat style and such, not that there's not much more to figure out since we already know each other pretty well."

Steel was walking around, wondering what to do today. While he was wandering around the fields, he saw two people nearby. And near those two people and seeming to be the center of attention at this point was a sad looking girl. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked the girl as he crouched next to her. "You sound so sad. Is it because of the loss of a loved one?"

"I wasn't hiding from you." Steel rebutted. "In fact, I didn't even know you were part of this until now." He then sheathed his sword. "As for what I've been up to, I guess I've just been fighting mobs, getting new equipment, and meeting new people, some being more weirder than others. Two months ago, I took part in fighting a boss actually." He then looked her down and saw she was still wearing the initial equipment. "Maybe we should get you some better equipment, it'll be better in the long run, especially with armor and such."

The Queen Bee and Steel kept attacking each other but seemed to just keep missing. This annoyed Steel as he was wanting to finish this quickly. "Why can't I hit this stupid bee?" Steel exclaimed before dodging another attack.

"With my current power level, I can defeat this thing in one more hit!" Steel exclaimed as he slashed at it. Unfortunately he missed. Fortunately, he was able to notice the Queen Bee's attack on time and was able to jump out of the way.

The Queen Bee seemed to just get faster as its health went down which was apparent at how it was able to dodge Steel's next attack. The Queen Bee struck at him but the damage was once again negated by the armor.

And as usual, she's calling me by my first name. Steel thought to himself with a bit of a sweat drop as this sort of thing was uncommon in Japan especially between upper and lower classmen but he didn't really mind. "Yes, I'm that annoying baka from the roof. It's nice to see you as well." Steel said in response to the girl's enthusiastic response to recognizing him. The change in attitude was almost like night and day. He wondered what the cause was. "How have you been?"

"I'm almost there!" Steel shouted as he slashed at the Queen Bee with his sword, dealing it damage. In retaliation, the Queen Bee attacked back but the attack damage was negated by his armor.

Queen Bee: 5/30

"I've already got its health done to half! This boss is really easy!" Steel exclaimed ready to just beat this thing. The Queen Bee in question then attacked from behind, dealing him a point of damage. "Okay, gotta keep my guard up." Steel said before turning around and slashing it again, dealing it more damage.

"I'm not done yet!" Steel exclaimed as he dodged another attack from the Queen Bee. He then swung his sword in a horizontal slash, dealing it more damage. "Okay, I've got this!" He said in excitement.

Steel: 18/19

Queen Bee: 15/30

"Okay then, one more try!" Steel exclaimed as he charged in again. The Queen Bee was a bit faster and struck at him but it did no damage due to his armor. Steel then swung his own sword, dealing it 5 more points of damage.

"Weren't you the one who told me I could kill it?" Steel said in response to Rin's brashness. When he heard her name, he had a face of surprise. "Wait a minute, that tone of voice and attitude along with that name. Is that really you Tachibana? It really was someone I knew." He then had a small smile on his face. "Don't you recognize me? It's me, Takeshi Kurogane from school in the real world. I was in the grade above you wasn't I?" About a month or two before the SAO incident started, he had met the girl Rin Tachibana on the rooftop of the school during lunch time. The girl was quite cold and blunt towards him but in all fairness, he was the same and acted blunt as well. Somehow after a long argument on that day, the two began to have conversations on the roof during break. He hadn't seen her since the SAO incident so this was a surprise to him.

Steel and the Queen Bee kept charging at each other, only to have each of their attacks dodged by the other. As I thought this bug is tough. I thought it'd be somewhat easy since it only had 30 HP but I underestimated it. Steel thought to himself.

Steel shouted as he swung his sword again. This time, he missed the Queen Bee which dodged it with speed. In response, the Queen Bee landed a critical hit on Steel. Even with his armor, he still got one point of damage. Well, I should be glad it takes a critical hit for the queen to deal me any damage. Steel thought to himself.

"Timer the counterattack!" Steel shouted before dodging the attack of the Queen Bee and swinging his sword. He was able to land a decent hit on it. "I got a hit on it!" Steel said excitedly. He then remembered he shouldn't feel too comfortable as he got back in a sword stance.

Queen Bee 25/30

"One more try." Steel said as he swung at the Queen Bee. Unfortunately, the queen was just as annoyingly fast as the regular bees so it was able to dodge it. The queen then attacked back. Thankfully, due to his armor which could block up to 3 points of damage was able to negate the Queen Bee's two point damage attack.
