"Okay then, let's look for a wolf or two." Steel said with a smile. "Where do they spawn again? I've forgotten where. I know it's more deeper in the fields or in the forest that way." He said as he pointed forward to his right. "They're certainly not here since the only thing I can see besides the grass fields are boars here and there."
-
"I agree." Steel agreed as he sheathed his sword as well. "After a few more of these boars, do you want to try fighting a wolf or go on a quest? That could be fun."
-
"I'm still at full health." Steel replied. "I guess the Acrobatics skill has it's advantages, it's harder to land a hit on me. What about you?"
-
"Hahaha, I think you the pig mad." Steel said as he saw the boar wanting to charge at Neloe. He went in front and slashed at it with his sword. With that, the boar shattered into data bits. "I guess we had better luck with that one."
-
She's certainly an excitable person. Steel thought to himself as he was pulled on the arm by Neloe who was excited to find more boars to fight. "Boars spawn in this area so we should be seeing some soon." Steel said to Neloe. "This is one of the times I wish that I chose the detection skill so I could use it to find the boars more easily."
-
"Sure thing! It's pretty fun adventuring with you." Steel replied with a smile. "Hopefully, we won't stumble as much with the next ones. Getting the hang of how the battle system works yet?"
-
"Yeah, let's do this!" Steel said as he charged after the boar as well. He charged up for a sword skill and soon, he unleashed the sword skill «Horizontal» on the same boar Neloe attacked. After a horizontal slash from Steel's sword, the boar shattered into data shards. "Now we're talking!"
-
"Looks like we're both having a bit of bad luck here." Steel said with a smile as he offered his hand to Neloe to help her up. "You okay there? I'm happy you think of me as a friend already but you shouldn't let rage take you over."
-
"Ah, it's coming for me." Steel said calmly as he readied another sword skill and began to meet the boar's charge. At the last second, he used his Acrobatic skill to jump above it before unleashing the charged up sword skill. Unfortunately, he got the timing wrong and missed. "Oh come on!" He exclaimed as luckily, he was able to land on his feet. "This is not my day."
-
Never mind, I think I was told the battle system here for the most part. I think I can figure out most everything else.
-
I've already studied the game manual enough that I remember the basic sword skills. I can combine that with my sword style. Steel thought to himself as he got ready to charge at the other boars. "You're forgetting to use the sword skills, they're a central part of this game you know?" He said to Neloe before moving his sword into position, causing it to glow a bright blue color. He soon unleashed the sword skill «Horizontal», making him slash horizontally at the one of the boars. Unfortunately, the boar moved out of the way so Steel missed. "Darn it, better luck next time it looks like." He said as he jumped back so he could counterattack if a boar charged at him.

Hey Steel here with another question.
How do we determine stuff like monster health or how much damage they would do to us? Also, I think there's supposed to be somebody that controls the monsters. Cause Me and Neloe are fighting boars right now and we're just slashing at them. Thanks you for your time.
-
"Understood." Steel replied with a grin. "And to answer your question about our method of attack, I don't think we can sneak up on them very well so we might we need to just face them head on." He said as he drew his sword. "Let's do this." He said as he began walking towards the boars wanting at least to get a little closer to the boars before they noticed him.
-
"Yeah, they are. The Boars are as easy as slimes in other games." Steel replied. "The real focus here is getting used to the combat system of the game, meaning the sword skills. Also, we have to get used to the monsters actually charging at us without panicking too much. That's why it may help to have some actual combat experience. Ah well, we should be fine if we work together."
-
"That's pretty cool." Steel said. "I've got a starter one handed sword. These should do us fine till we get enough col for better weapons. For now, let's go find an easy monster to practice on. By the way, do you have any combat experience?"
-
"Let's get this started then." Steel said to Neloe who he had just met at the start of the game. The two of them had decided to form a party and go out in the fields to get the hang of the in game fighting system. "What kind of weapon do you have?" Steel asked the girl next to him.

Excuse me, but I would like to know how to get that stuff like the health bar and such on my signature or something like that. Also, how do we access the Head up Display (HUD)? It won't let me access it. Thank you for your time

About: History/personality
Personality
Takeshi mainly grew up being taught the Bushido code. It has taken deep root into his personality and he tries to uphold it throughout his daily life. He has a strong sense of justice, always wanting to stand for what he believes is right. He is courageous almost to the point of recklessness to fight for his justice, not really caring about the level or strength of an enemy. He places high value in honor and reputation, not wanting to disgrace/embarrass other nor himself if he can help it and is strict on himself because of it. His preference is in one on one battles as these were primarily how the Sengoku period wars were fought, with several one on one duels between the members of both armies.
He is shown to be especially protective of his friends and the people he cares about, becoming angry when they get hurt by someone else. Despite this, he is able to keep a cool enough head to analyze the situation and react accordingly due to his lessons in swordsmanship which have always stressed to keep a cool head in any situation. He doesn’t like using dirty tactics but if there’s no other option, he will use it.
Despite appearing to be a cold person who shrugs people off, Steel has consistently shown to be a very kind, selfless and helpful young man and always put others before himself. Even when it comes to his enemies, he shows them respect and never speaks ill of them. He also refuses to allow anyone to ever speak ill of others. Whenever he's injured or someone else is, he states the other people injured should be tended to first. He constantly tries to befriend others even if they were former enemies and always acts friendly towards them. He also has a bit of a carefree personality.
Despite his skill in combat, especially with a sword, Steel underestimates his own abilities and has trouble accepting praise about them, always thinking that he’s not that good and he’s a bit of a perfectionist in terms of swordsmanship. He also has trouble grasping the meaning between indirect words sometimes as well as fathoming others' goodwill or attraction towards him, as he can usually only interpret them by logical explanation and often questions why people would think positively of himself.
Steel possess a type of charisma which is from how he always knows what to say to make anyone feel more comfortable and can once in a while make people laugh. It also comes from how he cares for those around him.
History
Takeshi grew up in Japan and was raised alongside his little sister by his grandfather as his mother died before he could remember and his father had to go on a lot of business trips due to his work. As a child, Takeshi showed great interest in the Sengoku period and always wished he could have taken part in it, completely ignoring the fact (due to his childish nativity) that he would have most likely died on the battlefield and other such things. He at least had the common sense to know that he couldn’t travel back in time nor was there any known method so he settled for imitating the famous warriors of the time period as best as he could in front of his little sister. The imitations in general were terrible yet hilarious in the said sister’s point of view. This is probably because he talked as if he were in some Sengoku period based drama and the fact that his voice had not gone through puberty.
Having admired the brave warriors of that time period, he sought to at least emulate their courage as he obviously did not have the skill to imitate them well. He attempted this mainly by trying to protect most everyone and everything. When some kids started bullying a kitten, he charged in and fought the kitten’s attackers. When one of his classmates kept getting harassed by some bullies, he fought those guys as well. This may seem good and all but Takeshi really lacked in both physical strength and skill compared to who he usually fought, leading to him getting beaten up whenever he got into a fight. Thankfully, because of this, whatever he was trying to protect usually was forgotten about so he was fine with it. It was when his sister got involved and got hurt that he wanted to get stronger.
He asked his grandfather to train him, knowing that he used to be the master of a kendo dojo when he was younger and they even had their own small dojo next to the house. Although the grandfather was hesitant, Takeshi managed to persuade him and the training began. Soon, Takeshi was able to gain enough strength to blast all of his enemies away with one punch! Well…that’s what he imagined he’d be able to do after some training. After one week, he forgot all about this fantasy. His grandfather was a kind yet strict teacher who worked Takeshi hard to build up his strength and stamina as well as drill the basics into him. Despite almost collapsing in exhaustion at the end of each day’s training, Takeshi didn’t complain even once, showing a type of resilience most kids his age didn’t have. After a few years of that, Takeshi was taught the advanced skills of the sword style he was taught and had to work even harder, and this is while keeping up with his school work and social connections. He continued to live like this until he graduated high school and went off to college though he still trained on his own.
He had bought Sword Art Online at his sister’s recommendation, the girl having wanted to know how good was it before choosing to buy a nerve gear and game herself. Little did she know that she had doomed her brother to a virtual prison.
Virtues:
Kind: Underneath his tough exterior, Takeshi is kind hearted, always willing to help others. He hates seeing others, especially his friends sad. He always tries to keep the mood light whenever he can and if he does see a friend sad, he will try to comfort him/her. If unable to do that or the friend in question refuses to talk about it, Takeshi will simply be there for the friend..
Combat Ready: Having done martial arts (mainly karate and kendo) for a long time, he is very knowledgeable in combat and it has also resulted in fast reflexes and the ability to read the battle situation quickly. This allows him to be more efficient in battle and be able to formulate the best course of action for the situation at hand. Furthermore, it lets him keep a cool head in combat, making it less likely for him to make a fatal mistake due to his emotions running high.
Musical: Takeshi has a good ear for music. He also sings and plays instruments well. Music was one of the few ways he could make friends. His voice is very soothing when he sings soft songs and can calm down those around him. He has used it in the real world to soothe his little siblings..
Flaws:
Rude/Blunt: On first appearance, he acts somewhat rudely, one of the reasons its hard for him to make friends. To people he doesn't know well, he says what's on his mind without paying too much attention to sensitivity. Even to people he does know, he still keeps up this front at times..
Socially Awkward: Although he seems like a rude guy, he just has issues with talking with people and doesn't know how to interact with others. The reason why he has these issues is because he has a light form of Asperger's Syndrome which makes social interaction somewhat difficult, although not as bad as those with a worse case of Asperger's. Although on the inside he feels nervous when talking to others, to those same others, he looks as if he's shrugging them off or being rude. Sometimes, he doesn't react the way people would predict he would..
Stubborn: He may be a bit too stubborn in his opinions. Once he forms one in his mind, it's really hard to change it. For example, if from experience he knows something is dangerous (Just like when Kirito figured out that going for that chest in episode 3 was a bad idea), he will try to stop the people from doing it, especially his friends. In real life he once got into a fight because of this when he tried to stop a classmate from doing something dangerous..

I just noticed this but I've been getting dragged along a lot by this girl. Steel thought to himself as he was being dragged along by the said girl. "By the way, do you know about the Nepents?" He asked Neloe. "The forest also has those monsters as well and they're pretty dangerous in some ways."
