  1. My green eyes lit up with excitement, Mari would be coming to the meeting too! I am attending that meeting as well. I have already omitted any of my members to participate in the battle because they too would die in one hit. Though I'm only a few levels ahead of them I plan to come back to them. I said, only a hint of doubt in my voice. This was something that I was constantly worrying about, death. The people I had met in Aincrad so far had really been worried for me too, not trusting me to leave on my own and such. Now though I had to go my own way, be stronger for the guild, and most importantly, survive.

I swallowed hard and stiffled a slight laugh at Mari's comment about Orhalimi. Yeah, I don't think that should be encouraged....You will not respawn again.

Upon Mari mentioning her guild having a plan I smiled. She seemed to be moving forward in the right direction. Ah, I see. I have a total of five members including myself. I just recruited a boy named Steel, and he is now in the higher ranks of the guild considering that there really aren't many members. Speaking of which, I haven't even heard from the other three for about two months. They are full members still but I am becoming a little worried about 'em. Your guild sounds like it's going to be one of the best of Aincrad, their leader especially. Your plan is really good compared to mine, I'm just focused on keeping them alive while they level up and become stronger. I said, brushing both hands on my head to smooth back my ponytail. There were a lot of things I had to do before even thinking of signing my entire guild up for a boss battle or even a raid. Material gathering and grinding on floor one might be the best option right now.

  2. After slashing the eye of the Hydra I let myself fall to the ground. On the impact of the floor I did a somersault and rolled into a run, heading away from the incoming raging monster above me. Staying under such a creature would not be the most smart thing to do, especially with my low HP. Out of everyone in the room I had the third lowest health but I was determined to last a little longer. Also, this battle certainly would not be the last one I would fight.

Everyone around the room gave various pep talks and cheers, I was actually glad to hear them all. Them seemed to be working because all of the heads had been killed. The first head was chopped off by someone I didn't know but his name was apparently Tristan. He had used his spear to deal the final blow. The next one was the fourth, killed by someone in group one. Lastly, the third head was gruesomely killed by a player name Life, L for short. In the meeting he didn't speak much, I guess he liked to let his fighting speak for him though. He had shoved his arm through the eye of the Hydra and ceased it's living. The only head remaining was sadly ours, the meant either we were the weakest group or just extremely slow. I didn't want to choose. I took a deep breath and looked at my team.

I'll cover Shark, the rest of you guys attack continuously so the rest of the raid teams don't have to kill it for us. I shouted behind me. I followed behind Shark, keeping up with his pace well. I had no intention of actually attacking the Hydra head unless it attacked me first. I was going to cover Shark for the time being and decided what to do from there. He made an opening in the head and retreated back, I had done that too except with a different task. When I caught back up to Shark I tapped his shoulder and stood tall. Do have any healing items? I'm afraid that if I keep getting attacked I will no longer be able to fight with you. The hydra's burn damage was taking a toll on me. I'm definitely going to grind when this is over!

  3. Yeah, I thought I might try to practice in my head so I don't mess this up. I have never done this before so it's kind of hard to know what to do. I pulled the sword that Hikari made for me out of it's sheath and took a deep breath. The sword wasn't heavy at all anymore because of how many times I had used it in battles and training. I was growing rather fond to it. I dub thee, Steel, The Black Knight. I tapped his right shoulder and left with my sword and motioned for him to rise. I smiled at him. Congratulations Steel, Welcome to the Knights of the Abyss!

  4. I nodded in agreement to what she said. Somehow she sounded like my old guild leader, maybe even Rolland. They beleive that the bigger the guild is, the more power they have. But sometimes you aren't that lucky. Sometimes you realize that you are just canon fodder and nothing more. Another memory sprang in my head. One of Shade this time. He wasn't my friend but I wouldn't call him an enemy either. He was on the brink of killing me, he even told me to kill higher level monster for him- to give him the materials. Luckily, I ran away. I was ashamed of running but there was nothing I could do about it. About a minute later he caught up though. That's when he told me to not follow what other people tell you to do. This memory had almost nothing to do with right now so I continued speaking. It's the sad truth but that's just the way the world works right now. I prefer quality rather than quantity any day myself. I said to Mari and hoped she didn't think I was weird for pausing for a long time.

I tried to hold it back, not to be rude, but I couldn't help but laugh at Mari's comment about Argumail's tongue. I cleared my throat and recovered like a lady should and spoke. Well, let us only hope that happens.  Unfortunately, I can't quite imagine that a chopped tongue would keep him quiet though.

Anyways, Mari. I would really like to ask you something though, it's about your guild. I took a deep breath and stared at her eyes. What is your guild like? I mean....what are the people like?

  5. The rest of the players from the other groups were in the boss room, mostly. There was still one group lagging behind. I followed Shark through the ginormous door and couldn't help but stare at the boss. It was a big serpent like creature with four heads, each one was assigned to a group. This would be a challenge for some players to work together. I could pick out a few that were solo players. This wasn't a very well planned raid but it would suffice if we kept attacking. This isn't going to end well if no one helps another out, I'm sure everyone understands that though. I guess all I can do is try my best and-

Suddenly, something interrupted my thoughts. A heat formed everywhere and depleted everyone's HP, except for Shark's. This was most likely the result of players constantly doing damage to their assigned heads. I touched my skin and winced, it was burning hot. I tugged on the duster that Zelrius had given me, did it even work? Maybe it's just a special move that omitted the mitigation items... Okay....Just breath and follow Shark's instructions. I said to myself, calming my nerves. This was my first boss battle but I was going to live through it and make sure it wasn't my last. Especially for the people I had met so far.

I pulled the sword from it's sheath at my hip and felt the weight of it in my hands. Daeron had been generous to give me a sword before the battle but I still had no time to practice with it. I guess this is my practice. I squinted to see exactly where I wanted to strike the hydra. I rushed forward and weaved my way through the tangle of players, faking left and right. I jumped on the front of the hydra and dodged the other heads. Finally, I slashed the eye of the Hydra's third head. Hopefully I blinded that eye.

  6. I can't handle any of that conceited manners either, they are quite unpleasant to me. I said and steadied myself on the ice. I would hate to fall and cause the ice to crack open. A memory of Rolland and I popped into my head at that moment. We were in a small boat, a date to be exact, when suddenly we tipped over and both fell into the water. It was a disastrous moment back then but now when I thought of it, it made me giggle. Like an inside joke.

I smiled at the mention of her guild. Quite so, I just got the position also so I'm a little new to it. I'm trying to recruit new members but it's hard to get anyone to join unfortunately..I said, smile fading at the mention of the Crimson Inquisition. Don't get me started on Argumail, their leader. He is entirely unfit to serve such a purpose. Not only is he rude but he has a cruel tendency to lick his sword. It sent shivers down my spine last time I saw it! It's okay though, he doesn't like me very much time due to our last meeting..it didn't go so well...I laughed at that, it was funny to picture Argumail at a time like this. It was hard to explain but I felt more comfortable around Mari, she seemed like a lovely young lady to me.

  7. I nodded slowly and recalled event. Yes, I met some very fine people on this floor. This was also where my guild "career" started...just as the White Knight though. But still, I was honored for it. I babbled on again about the same person I always talked about, my previous guild leader. He was one of the first people I met and also the kindest so far. I don't mind it really that much...I admitted to the beautiful young lady with pink hair. Indeed, it always silent over here, no one really likes this floor very much...it's too cold for some I think.

As the last of her song finished I began to clap for her. That was lovely, I'm Primrose of the Knights of Abyss. It's a pleasure to meet you.

  8. I looked behind me and made sure she wasn't speaking to anyone else. Once I concluded that it was I she was talking to I responded with a smile on my face. I don't favor it, I just have fond memories on this floor. The cold doesn't really bother me that much either. I said, staring at the violin in her hand. What about you? Are you here just to play your violin? It's very sweet music, I love the sound of it. I complimented her on here playing and silently hoped she would continue to play, as if I were not there at all.

  9. I buttoned up the last silver button on my coat with a sigh. This was my first boss battle, or any "real" battle I would fight. Today I was going to prove that I could lead a guild, that yes, someone as young as me could survive this game. There was a flurry of thoughts of what could go wrong that went through my head but I ignored them and replaced them with good ones. I was trying to be optimistic for this battle. I checked my inventory one last time before heading down to the boss door using a map that I made.

My white cloak swayed ever so slightly behind me as I approached the group in front of the boss door. It was ginormous. The size was daunting as it loomed over the players. As I could see, I wasn't exactly on time, but I wasn't late either, just in the middle. I need to work on my time management after this...I could barely get anything to revamp my inventory in the allotted days given. My eyes looked over at the pile of equipment in the open slots, they were for anyone to grab. Might as well..I thought and placed the gauntlets into my inventory without a second thought. They were here to benefit us and ensure victory after all.

I leaned against the wall by the boss door and began to equip my items onto myself. I was also waiting for everyone in my group to arrive, I could see we were missing one by the name of Zero. None of my guild mates were prepared enough to join me but that was okay, there would always be another to fight in...

  10. I stepped into what seemed like a brand new shop. The first room had bookshelves and a nice color scheme. The brown sofa was comfortable just by looking at it. I peered into another room that was duller in color but more alive in a way. The flames in the fireplaces danced along and created shadows on the stone walls. I looked around and finally saw a young lady. Hello, I would like a potion, preferably one right now if you have any in stock.

  11. This was actually how my test was like, how I got into the K.o.A! The original leader was awesome, I didn't even know I was being tested! Also, he was the best leader I have gotten to know so far, plus he believed in me. I exclaimed but held myself back from bragging about the previous leader. Thank you Steel, I believe you'll make a very good addition to my guild. Now, If you'll let me down, I can Knight you. I said, hinting that he should put me down. This was a very exciting event for me, I have never knighted someone before.

  12. As the rest of the players came in I was disappointed to know only about two people in the room. The first was Mari, a pink haired spirit that loved music. The next was even worse, Argumail. I had only a small amount of time to gain an impression from him but from the last time we had an "argument," it didn't end very well. Thus leading me to feel repelled by his presence, but also very confused. Since when did Argumail have a guild? Wait, I can't be talking, I didn't have one last time I saw him either....I thought and decided just to ignore him and avoid eye contact. I couldn't explain why but I didn't feel comfortable in a room of people who were important. Of course I didn't let any of this show on my facial expressions. I made a bold move to sit to the right of Zelrius, sitting at the head of the table, he seemed confident enough. Oddly, he had a suit on and seemed to be running this event planning.

Almost immediately after I sat down, the young man got right down to business. Zelrius began by speaking of the lack of players gathered here for guild planning. That wasn't the only issue though, we didn't have very many prepared people here. Most weren't able to take as many hits as the others but still, we needed to work on that. After a slight interjection by Mari, he  brought up another point. Zelrius was blunt, no doubt about that, but he was also honest. He proved that we do need "cannon fodders or custodians" to make this battle successful. It was painful to hear but, we were all thinking it probably.

Biting my lip with about a million different thoughts in my head I finally decided to stand up. H-hello, my name is Primrose and I'm the guild leader of the Knights of Abyss. My personal abilities lie more in the battle range. I am willing to provide any training necessary for the battle that is coming up quick. I can guarantee that I can teach anyone how to fight, defend themselves, and just stay alive if that's a problem. Now, I haven't been in an actual boss fight before, just training but, I think that we should be careful about how we categorize ourselves. I might not be correct for reminding all of you but there is a chance of death, no matter what you do so please choose where you go and what you do carefully. My guild doesn't have many members that will be willing to participate but I will be more than happy to supply everyone with monster grenades, I don't use my col anyways. Also, if we need supplies and have col shortages with guild purchases, I can help with that. I took a deep breath and stared at the faces around me. Either they would think I was stupid or....okay? I put my head in my hands and rubbed my eyes, ready to listen to anymore suggestions.

  13. I looked at the grim town around me, it felt like no one even occupied this floor. Some parts of the town was in really bad shape. With crumbled data of walls and a strange scent in the air it would be enough to drive a normal person away. Another factor in this would be the heat. I have heard rumors about the blistering heat but never actually experienced it until now. I was completely overdressed for this floor. I had earlier equipped my guild attire was a long sleeve shirt, an over coat, and a cape. I didn't bother to take it off though, even in this scorching weather I wasn't sweating.

A little while ago I had been invited to attend a meeting for guild leaders to discuss the next boss raid. I wasn't sure if I would be very much of a help but I was going to try my best! Up ahead I finally saw what seemed to be the place. As I got closer I confirmed the location. A run down building in Phoenix city.....I said to myself quietly and stepped inside to see two players conversing already.

  14. Steel picked me up and didn't forget my sword either. I smiled brightly and looked up at Steel who was still holding me. Steel, you have passed the tests I have set up for you, welcome to the Knights of Abyss. The first one was fighting monsters. The second was reaction, and this where you are holding me is the teammate test. You passed all three without even having to try, I commend you. If you choose to join then I shall knight you as The Black Knight. I said, almost one hundred percent sure he would accept. I gave a deep breath of relief and continued. I'm glad you actually had a good reaction, I might have died for real!

  15. I was still into my old habit of wearing my white cape. The cape used to symbolize that I was the White Knight, which wasn't necessarily good or bad. I needed to accept the fact that I was now the new guild leader, and find a new cape of course. I had already appointed someone to be the White Knight, and mostly the Knights of Color positions were filled. But at the same time the guild had been having a shortage of members recently.

With that in mind I stepped onto a boulder to look out onto the lake. What I saw surprised and confused me mostly. There was first just flashes of pink but when I go a better look I saw it was another player with a violin. Probably a performer. I yearned to hear what they were playing so slowly I walked onto the frozen lake and listened.

  16. I smiled as he reacted appropriately and caught me with no trouble. Steel had a better reaction time than me that's for sure! Now for part three! I thought and made my body go limp, pretending to become unconscious. The wind could have caused this, shock even so he would probably fall for it. I was a good faker too. Artorias didn't do this to test me but I felt this was crucial for him to pass. What would he do to properly care for a fallen teammate? I purposely made my sword, the one Hikari made for me, fall out of it's sheath when I did this too.
