    Attention everyone, my laptop is on the fritz. The battery port on the laptop, located in the right top corner does not work as it should, there may be times when I may or may not be on due to the face that I can't charge it. I may have to get a new one, but my paycheck is not that great, and I get paid every 2 weeks, so I may not be on for a full 4 weeks if my laptop isn't fixed. I will return if that happens.

      I tried but the screwdriver needed is a small fillips and I don't have that. Currently I am holding the jack in the port with my foot to keep it charging. .

      I meant like physically break the bottom bit off. I don't know what your laptop is like but everyone at my school does it to the macs so they don't have to pay to get it fixed

      Mines a HP Altec Lansing, the battery port is built directly into the battery import area. I took my battery off and the battery port was under it, and I did'n't quote, have the Philips screwdriver.
