  1. (I'm ending this here as I think Clarence is inactive at the moment and I'd like it to be finished )

Mari gave Legion a small nod, "Yes - you do that, and you wouldn't have a right to complain." Mari said in a matter-of-factly tone, she was holding back, attempting not to be too rude to the others. After all, Alkor had mentioned that she should try opening up to people a little more, even after everything Life had done. Mari chewed her bottom lip for a moment, inwardly sighing before finally biding the two with a luckluster goodbye, "Bye."

And, that was that, Mari walked away from the two - down half a bottle of alcohol, but she hadn't lashed out at anyone, nor had she hurt anyone, or even killed anyone, and in Mari's books - that was better than nothing.

  2. Mari shrugged; "We all need to start somewhere - I hear there is going to be a revamp to professions soon; I may just switch to an Alchemist. It would be far more beneficial than a performer. Despite the Monster Grenades being fantastic weapons - no one wanted to buy them." She flicked her hair out of her face. "A shame, really. Their loss."

Mari turned her attention to Ren - she felt as though he was on thin ice - his attitude was less than desirable, and the way he flaunted 'maim' to her pissed Mari off. "You are able to gain universal materials from most everything - if not that, we just had a discussion about how Asen is a blacksmith. Blacksmithing Materials would be a logical place to start, next would be Alchemic Materials - and the materials belonging to whatever profession you choose. How many? 10 each would be a reasonable start, so 30 in total. It is a big ask, so I don't mind if you take your time. Especially since you won't be doing any frontline work. Speaking of-"

Mari turned her gaze to Asen, "You'll be joining me on the frontlines - I have some preparation work to take care of, in the mean time take this down time to better prepare yourselves." Mari gave them each a nod of finality.

    "I'll be in touch soon."

And with that she walked away, thus ending the meeting.

  3. Mari glanced over her shoulder as she noticed someone walk in. Mari had her back facing the entrance - as her work bench was at the back of the tent. Mari shuffled herself so she could turn around. Still sitting on the floor of her tent - now with her hands resting on the counter - fingers interlocked with each other. It seemed that the first customer to her store was Kiru. Mari gave a wry grin. "Kiru my dear." She said, her voice cool, yet dripping with a sort of venomous tone. If Kiru were to turn and look at Mari she would notice the pink haired girl, in the low light of the tent - with her eyes, generally a striking blue - holding a soft green glow.

The sign of a user using Night Vision.

"See anything you like? Or perhaps you've come to commission something?" Mari asked cooly.

Mari felt happy with her shop; it was slowly coming together - still no sales, but she had it for less than a week - and chances are things wold pick up soon, with the upcoming 10th floor boss battle. Even if the Azure Brigade were not paticipating. Mari thought it odd for a guild council to forbid an entire guild from joining; especially one filled with so many front liners, but she was not one to question others motives.

Still, with that curiosity in mind; she decided she would try her hand at a Truth Serum. Mari had set the burner on low, and after adding in crushed butterfly wings, moss from an old tree, and ice from atop a mountain on the 5th floor, she had somehow, successfully done it.

Screw the potions Mari thought to herself as she pulled out a crystal base. Crystals were far more valuable anyway. She quickly got to work, placing a clear crystal into it then finding some rocks of hardened magma. She crushed them up with the pestle, and let the dust trickle over the crystal. It was a very simple task really. Mari felt that it required little to no work. Lo and behold! She had created a basic healing crystal.

Useful, not fantastic, but most definitely useful.

Mari wasn't in the best of moods, and that clearly - had a negative impact on her work. She groaned as she tried to scrub out another failed attempt from a beaker, she would need to clean it before continuing. What was she trying to do? Adding flint to swamp gas? It was a recipe for disaster. At lest being a performer meant all she had to do was play her violin.

Not that she could do such a thing any more.

Easy come, easy go. Perhaps Mari's next attempt would be a more successful one.

  8. Ren's attitude was pissing Mari off - but she had to bite her tongue to stop her from saying anything negative, rather - she had to admit to herself that she admired that he was being truthful on the matter, not everyone would want to go fight a boss. "That's fine Ren. After this meeting, I'll need you to go hunting for materials then." Mari opened up her HUD and with a few quick gestures deleted everyone from the guild barring the three of them.

"There. Now Cerulean Silence has 3 members. The others, are gone. I have no need for people who waste my time, nor the time of others."

Mari stood up, it was clear their meeting was coming to a close, still she would allow the others to speak, if any of them needed anything or wanted to contribute something to the conversation. "Meanwhile, I'll need to do preparations for boss floors. Asen, you are a blacksmith, do you mind crafting us gear? I'll pay you with the required materials out of my own pocket if need be. Whilst I do agree that 3 members isn't exactly anything to be proud of, I am in no means - concerned by the lack of members. Cerulean Silence had its time, where it was the leading guild for a few short months, but you know what they say, those who burn brightest, burn quickest. I'd rather have a strong foundation."

  9. Hey now!
    I am a GM too!

    Haha.

There was a discussion about a few ideas in the skype chat today which I will probably be implementing into a future quest.

I like my quests to have more to them rather than just battling, as some may have noticed with guardian of fire - where you have to travel 2 days, have harsh environments and so on and so forth.

  10. Mari gave a small nod, "Mmm, yes. I suppose you are right Asen." Mari stood up, dusting herself off, it's better than doing nothing - in any case. Mari noticed that he had turned his crimson eyes first to the sprites then back to Mari, then back to the sprites again - the faintest of smiles appeared upon his lips - and it was then, that Mari realized that he didn't often show emotion. Perhaps that was why it was so easy for her to spot his smile.

"Speaking from experience?" Mari asked, curiously. "I suppose talking to a NPC familiar is a tad more mentally stable than talking to yourself, eh." She commented, before extending her arm.

"Well, Asen. You have the information, lead the way."

  11. This sounds like something that would be useful as a sort of special once off monthly/special event of some sort rather than a quest. It would need a lot of refinement, but it is a good idea

  12. It wasn't common knowledge (I myself had to clarify with Oske which is why I had to make the announcement)

However staff are always willing to listen to the opinion of users, most of you were understanding and polite with your dislike of the resetting of the experience. I would like to take this time to thank the users who were polite; that type of reaction helps us better understand and help you all.

And remind the users who were not polite or were snide, rude in a few of their comments that - that behaviour is frowned upon and whilst we can understand that emotions can run high. However such behaviour is frowned upon and won't evoke a response.

Let's all be civil and continue to enjoy SAO-RPG!

  13. Mari gave the smallest of grins, the two did not hit hard - but they most definitely were persistent. Mari wondered if they had  any plans to join a guild. Mari was planning to revamp her guild, and such players, may just be well worth it. Mari wanted a small, profitable and useful guild rather than a large messy one. Mari laughed as Kuro told her that she should, for lack of better words. shut up. Mari shrugged. "I was going to say - I can help with that." She jested. It wasn't until Aaphi screamed, in a mixture of pain and shock that her mood seemed to shift. No longer carefree. Mari stepped between Aaphi and the Minotaur.

She wasn't going to let him die, not here, "Ya get hit again, and big bad Mari may just have to heal you." She said as she turned her head over her shoulder. Flashing the man a wry smile. It seemed that Kuro was pissed that his friend had been hurt, for Mari said more words to Aaphi, but they were lost - unheard over the startling scream of their companion.

Mari brushed her pink fringe out of her face. It was time to end this. Mari  didn't move from her position, she simply stood - and carefully aimed the dagger, before throwing it. It landed with a small 'thwak' right between its two glowing red eyes. The Minotaur gurgled before bursting into an array of data. Mari casually wandered over to the dagger, which now lay uselessly on the floor and picked it up.

"If you don't wish to fight the other right now, I suggest we move on. If you do wish to fight-." Mari paused, bringing up her HUD - pulling a potion out of her inventory and chucking it toward Aaphi. "Best ensure ya don't die. Now then, which one of you is going to loot the monster?" Mari asked, pointing to the small orb that was left behind. She had no interest in taking whatever treasures, or lack thereof it contained.

  14. Mari gave a heavy sigh. It seemed that no members of the Azure Brigade made an appearance, she had been corresponding with Kiru during the meeting, and she may still yet make an apearance - Mari originally had intended it to be for guild leaders and high levelled solo players, however - if those guild leaders ignored the call, what was she to do?

"You're right. Shark. This waiting is killing me."

Mari bought up her HUD, bringing up the information that she had accumulated - it was available for all present to read. "The boss room is a cavern in a circle sorta shape. The ceiling is only slightly taller than the boss, and it seemed to be filled with paper lanterns that barely light up the room in pale, light blue." Mari paused, tapping the table with a single finger. "Again, I want to stress -with my night vision the room seemed dim."

Mari continued to go on, now explaining the boss. Itself.

name is Yamata-no-Orochi. It is a charcoal grey coloured 8 headed dragon, it even has a small forest growing on its back. It holds a Tachi sword in the grasp of its front right claw, and has a large Katana embedded in its tail. It constantly emits a red gas from its mouth that smells of dark rum and blood, and stands firmly on its two rear claws. There are two large kegs, one on each side, that emanate a similar red gas as the boss itself. It has 160 HP, so 20 per head."

It was at this stage that the meeting was interrupted - as Zel finally burs through the door. Ranting about how there was no way that this planning would be supported by the Azure Brigade. He, quite frankly looked pissed. Perhaps because Mari had chosen to take charge of this meeting. Which Mari found somewhat odd as the two, who admittedly barely spoke - did come to some sort of agreement that this would be ok. Since she had managed to learn, and see much more than he did - despite Zelrius finding the boss room first.  "Arrogant through and through." Mari said simply, as Zelrius left again.

"For once, Azure are not in control of a simple meeting, and it seems as though it has caused enough upset - to cause them to have no part in an entire boss fight. Of course, I could be jumping to conclusions here..." Mari muttered, "However now isn't the time to swell on that. As I was saying, in front of the Orochi are four Draconian Guardians. 2 male and 2 female, each have 25 HP, whilst they do stand in front of the Orochi there is enough room for a second group to move on forward - so we can essentially attack both the boss and its guardians at once."

  15. "There isn't a room that stays dar through the entire boss fight; thus far." Mari corrected Shark. "I can't imagine it'd be completely pitch black, and what I have noted from what I saw," Mari paused, rubbing her eyes. "It is jsut speculation, but I've never seen anything so dark with my Night Vision activated.

Shark mentioned that if no one arrived within 20 minutes they would continue the meeting without the others, Mari had to agree. Although she couldn't deny she felt oddly calm exchanging words with Shark, perhaps because it was just a simple discussion right now, no flirty undertones, no anger, no bile. Just business.

Daeron was next to arrive; Mari wasn't sure how she felt about him at this stage, a part of her was incredibly angry at him for not healing Alkor, but Mari also knew that was her way of dealing with the grief, and her loss. Mari gave a low sigh, as she rose cerulean eyes to meet his, giving him a weak smile. "Preparations for the 10th floor boss. It looks like those without Night Vision will suffer some sort of debuff." Mari leaned back, twirling a pink strand of hair around her finger as she bought up her HUD.

"I want to go through and discuss the finer details of the Orochi, but it seems like we are still missing players. Unfortunately, I don't think we can wait much longer."

It seemed as though Mari's bad luck continued; she managed to clean up the burnt remnants of the leaves, and had a clean work bench. Alas, it would not stay clean for long, Mari was filtering water through a purifier, and thought it best to set a small vial of oil to boil, but she had knocked it over with her elbow, it landed on tree sap and quickly hardened. Mari hit herself in the forehead lightly. "Are you f**king kidding me?" She muttered. Mari didn't have the time for all these horrendous failures.

Mari gave a yawn, it was early morning and she hadn't slept properly. She did, manage to sleep somewhat comfortably for once, having slept on the floor of the pop-up tent that served as her shop. Still, the nightmares kept her awake. Alkors dying face, her daughters tears - there was no way Mari would be able to get a comfortable sleep.

That near-sleepless night, clearly affected her work. Mari picked up a handful of dried leaves, and completely missed the beaker she was aiming for - instead she dropped them right onto the open flame and they burnt up. Mari groaned. This was not a good start to the day.
