Placing the crystal base on the stand - but then -Mari managed to somehow completely miss the stand as she carelessly tossed the clear quartz into the fire. Mari watched as the entire scene seemed to happen in slow motion, as the crystal bounced off its container with a small 'tink' and burned up as it fell into the flames.
