  1. The throne shot backwards, and Pepper screamed in surprise. She gripped the edges of the seat tight, squeezing her eyes shut and holding herself to the throne. The room changed around her as she flew through a tunnel, and when she finally stopped... she was in a cave again. It was dim, but not hard to see. Lava was below her, and she was now on a obsidian pathway that was suspended by air. Shakily, she rose to her feet again.

  2. Pepper lifted her head. Her health was rising, and her relaxing on the ground was helping. She rose to her shaky feet and looked at the throne. What would happen if she touched it? Would another monster spawn? She drew her weapon and reached forward, gently tapping the cloth with the tip of her finger and wincing to prepare for a hit. However, nothing happened. Pepper squinted, then jumped into the throne and seated herself comfortably. That's when it happened.

  3. Sitting up slowly, Pepper looked around. The room was dimly lit, and she could see materials ahead of her, but nothing too fancy. She wasn’t in the mood to pick them up, either. Was Oske worried about her right now? Was she even thinking about little Pepper? Pepper sighed at the thought, hoping that Oske wouldn’t mind too much if she died. Her chest felt like it was closing, and she felt the terror again… the fear of dying. She was so young, and despite what she thought about the world, she had a long life ahead of her… hopefully.

  4. Pepper exhaled loudly, leaning with her back against the ground. It was clear that the treasure in this room were a trap, so she knew better than to touch them. Her mind was weak and head spinning, thinking about everything that had passed her by. She might die in this. She could die. The thought of it… terrified her. She wondered if her father was doing okay in the real world—he had been left all alone, when his wife and Pepper’s mother died. Pepper knew the agony of losing a mother, but she couldn’t imagine the agony of losing someone you loved romantically. Did Oske have someone romantic? She didn’t know. Maybe she’d ask her later, if she ever got the chance or even got out alive.

Panting heavily, Pepper ran at the ox. It grunted, smoke pouring out of its nose. As it opened its mouth to roar and charge, Pepper slashed her dagger through its thick throat. Even though she couldn't decapitate it, she managed to deal the last necessary damage to kill it. The ox shattered, and she collapsed on the ground. Pepper needed to stay away from mobs to heal.

  6. As the PKer slowly began to walk away, Pepper faded back to reality. There was a blanket around her shoulders. The pink haired woman was walking away, and she knew Oske didn't have that blanket to begin with. Pulling her hands up, she wrapped the blanket around herself a little tighter. How could she treat the PKer that way? Pepper was in almost the same situation, just with no label. She rose to her feet, to Oske's surprise, and ran over to the woman.

"Thank you f-for your blanket, m-miss," Pepper stuttered, holding out the blanket to return it as Oske slowly began to walk toward the two.

Pepper froze. She had to try to do something… right? She grabbed the meat from her inventory and waved it in front of the ox’s face… then realized what an idiot she was. The meat was Ox-meat, which just made it angrier. The mob stabbed her in the side, and in return she landed a critical hit on the stupid jerk face.

With a furious roar, the Hellfire Ox charged forward faster than ever, slamming into Pepper and sending her flying. She felt something hot along her leg, and it slowly spread to her entire body. Luckily, there was no pain, but she could see little flashes of red as her health went down to five points. Using this turn to avoid death rather than fight, she whipped out a potion and glugged it down. She was in a little better shape now.

The ox ran at Pepper, but she dodged as if she were fighting a bull and she had been using her cape as a red flag or whatever the heck they used. Pepper didn't really care. The Hellfire Ox was clearly furious with her, and wanted nothing more than to kill her. She felt the same way, and she certainly didn't want this thing as a pet.

With another hit dealt by both of the opponents, Pepper watched as the health bar on the beast fell past the yellow zone. If she landed just two more hits, he'd be dead. However, Pepper wasn't looking too hot herself. She was low on health. If she reached 3 HP, she would have to drink her only potion. She wasn't ready to die... and she probably never would be! Pepper swallowed, readying her stance.

The two charged at each other. The Hellfire Ox landed a nasty hit on Pepper's hip, and Pepper landed a nasty hit on its ear. She smirked as its ear slowly tore free and shattered, leaving only a red mark in its place. The ox grunted and roared with anger, and Pepper jumped back to prepare for another hit.

In her moment of distraction, the ox charged again. She dodged to the left of the ox, then ran her dagger along its side, drawing a red line. The ox grunted and let out a roar of rage, turning to face her. Pepper swallowed, backing up a little. No. I can't be scared, she thought to herself. The two circled each other, eyeing their opponent for potential weak spots.

With a clang, Pepper ran along the ox's side and dealt a chunk of damage to the monster. As she did that, it turned and stabbed her in the hip. Had there been pain in this world, she would've cringed and started bleeding. Thankfully, it seemed that Oske was one of the only ones in this world that could feel pain. Well, maybe she shouldn't be so thankful about that. She thought fondly of Oske.

Pepper's eyes widened, and she stumbled to the side as the ox charged at her. Its horns rammed into the wall, and there was the thickening sound of cracking stone. She watched in horror as rocks tumbled from the cieling, and she covered her face. As the rocks fell, they landed in front of the entrance. She would have to finish fighting this dumb ox.

The world seemed to shatter around Pepper as she was rammed into by a wild ox. It broke through the coins, shattering them like glass. She panted and jumped back after being slammed into the wall by the impact. The ox puffed through its nose, glaring at her wildly. She was shaking a little now, and she readied her dagger.

The lights became evidently brighter, and Pepper stared at the room that unfolded before her. It seemed she had fallen into the rabbit hole—she hit the mother load! Surrounding her were materials, jewels, coins, gold… sheer beauty! Sitting in the center of the room was a throne, covered in red cloth. She decided it was best not to touch that, and she approached the gold. Pepper extended her hand toward the treasure…

Taking out a needle and thread, Pepper pulled out a sheet of tan fabric with darker brown spots on the back and a sheet of fur. She began to sew the two together. As she did so, the cloak slowly came together in a nice formation. To complete her craft, she threaded a thicker string into the opening of the cloak to add a bow that could close it around her neck. Once it was done, she placed her good item around her neck.

Pepper, noticing another tarp, was unsure if she should pick it up or not. As she leaned down to eat, she heard the sound of a dog. It growled in the distance, then disappeared into the darkness. She looked around nervously, unsure of where it came from and forgot about the tarp. Up ahead, light shined. She took a few more nervous steps toward it.

After trying her best while she took a break from commission, Pepper created two horrible items. She really was struggling with this whole leather thing. However, after trying VERY hard, she created a lovely pair of boots with the pattern of a bee and a flower on the ankle. She gently placed it into her store window with a cocky smile.

Along with that tarp of fabric, there was another. There were actually a bunch of them, lying on the ground in a row. It was almost like a broken up carpet of some sort. She reached down for the next one, and as she lifted it up... a million little fire ants swarmed out from underneath it. "EW!!" Pepper threw down the tarp to cover the ants back up, stepping away. She took a deep breath, then stomped on the square before continuing.

  21. Pepper could hear Ma talking to her, but she was too focused. She stabbed down and killed the boar, sending it into a shattering mess before it disappeared. She received 45 Col and 1 boar meat, which she had no use for. With a cocky smile, she looked up. At first, she saw the feet of two players, and she could hear someone talking to Oske. Did Ma make a new friend?

Pepper’s eyes rose to the red tag. Her heart fell into her stomach, and her eyes flashed with the images of her mother shattering before her eyes and the player with the axe smiling as his label became orange. A PKer. Someone who had murdered someone, taking them out of the world forever.

    Pepper was no better.

    She killed someone.

With her mind and body overloaded with emotion, Pepper collapsed on the ground, shaking as she hugged her own knees and began to sob.

Beneath her feet, suddenly... there was wood. They were planks of wood, and they were pretty thick. Just up a head, there was a small tarp of white fabric. Her eyes shot open wide, and she lunged forward to grab it. She quickly picked it up, examining it. It was a little dirty, but she could clean it off. She would be using it for an order of gloves. Lovely!

Pepper slowly wandered through the tunnel, noticing light in the distance. It was dim, but prevalent. The ground was changing beneath her feet with every step--small bits of the gritty ground were becoming smoother and smoother, until the ground was almost... slippery. The slight slipperiness dropped into intense slipperiness, and she fell right on her butt. Through the dark tunnel, she could see... a torch? It wasn't lit. As she stood up and approached it, it blazed suddenly and scared the crap out of her.

  24. Pepper smiled wide. Her very first customer! She felt like such a grown up, shaking his hand and taking his order. "I'll get it done as soon as I can, Mister!" Pepper exclaimed. "O-oh, and would you like me to sketch that for you as well? If you want the drawing with it, it'll be 650 Col. Without the drawing, it's just 600. You can pay me when it's done." Pepper was being VERY careful not to fudge it all up by calling him a dummy or saying something rude. Oske taught her better than that.
