  1. The day was turning out nicer, the sun was soothing and was like a warm blanket upon the face. Small rays of light breaking through the tree tops. London began to think aloud as he thought. "I wonder how Oikawa is doing...What's he been up to? Hopefully he's gotten better with his swordsmanship, I'll probably give him another lesson or something next time I see him." London finished, then a message poped into his screen "Hm?" London noised questionly. It was a notification from the game telling him that he has acquired a material from the fight, of seemingly high quality. London confirmed and took the item, placing it into his inventory. "I suppose I have a gift as well now." He noted. He found himself out of the forest by now, the rocky steps to Ubrus just a few ways away. He seemed to quicken his pace slightly. It'd be better to strain himself a bit now to get to bed faster rather suffer the days light until he got to an inn. He began taking the steps two at a time. Running into the town, he would pick up a quest after this. A actually challenging monster next time. He was getting tired of wolves.

  2. London began to walk, the only sound being his footsteps crunching on twigs and leaves. Songbirds returned and are singing their songs once more. It was as if the killing of the wolf had never happened. This striked London as a bit strange but he shrugged it off, he would either be comfortable or uncomfortable if there was pure silence after that in either for respect or for comfort. Who could say for certain? London continued his pace, a bit more leasurely, sluggish even. The battle didn't wear him out his body but rather made his mind tired. He wanted to rest, it might have been nice to just lean up against a tree and go to sleep. He refused this as the thoughts of sleep PK were plighted his mind. Besides, a nice bed and a warm sheets would do him some good right now.

  3. London stood there silent for a moment. He looked back and forth to see if there was anyone there or any new threats to be dealt with. There was none. London raised his sword and turned it, gently sheathing it into it's scabbard. London sighed, there there was only so much he could do. He needed to kill things like that faster, more effeciently. How was he going to be of any name here if he didn't? That bandit could one day have been a close friend I sent out to go to retreat from a battle and ended up dying due to my orders. If that was a close friend in the future, their blood be on my hands. Can digital hands be forever painted red? I wonder.... London thought.

  4. London gazed down at the creature. "Pitiful..." London muttered allowed. "Not such a threat when you're lying on the ground, gasping at the last few breaths before I rip them from you. Aren't you?" London monolouged for a moment. The wolf in response just rolled it's head on the ground. That last attack robbed it of the remaining of it's strength and the beast is now lying on the ground, wheezing and whimpering. London raised his rapier point, a the trees reflecting on it's smooth surface, aimed striaght at the Alpha's heart. "Sleep thee well, for your band of rebels diverging from the animal kingdom is in need of a new king." He finished, stabbing the rapier into the beast's chest, piercing it's heart. Although he spoke poeticly he was still harsh in his words towards the creature. The wolf yelped and wavered before exploding into the sickly blue shards.

  5. London eye twitched a bit. He was seconds away from blowing up, losing his composure, or having an anurism due to the sheer stupidity Soils was shouting. He was whinning like a spoiled child and was acting like a brat. He stopped for a moment "You know what? Go ahead. Go but yourswlf a shield and attempt to use it with your spear. Go get yourself impaled, I honestly don't care! Good luck, you're going to need it, considering I'd give you a week before you bit the dust!" he forced himself to give a "friendly" smile towards soils as he said this. He looked at Alyss "Apologies, but I have to take my leave before I kill someone." And with that he turned around and went bsck to walking to where he wss originally going rather than lead soils who obviously dillusional.

    (London has left the thread)

  6. London shook his head "No. That's not how it works...at all. If you're holding a two-handed spear with one hand maybe but you can still parry and block with a spear. You don't need a shield nor are you suppose to have one." He began "You are suppose to strike and then retract. Keep your distance, the AI are pretty smart for the most part. They won't just run in to get themselves killed. You're thinking just because other games have them that it's a viable technique in an actual fight. It's not. Not from what I've studied at least. Games like this will let you kill a boss monster and you could still have no idea what end of a knife is the hilt and the other the point. Skill doesn't matter if your numbers are big enough. And I won't say that what you're discribing is a technique." London finished.

  7. London sighed "It defeats the purpose because you're right, it is meant to have reach. You have a one handed spear, effectively half the size of a spear. You might as well have gone with sword and shield rather spear and shield so you can at least have cutting power too." he explained "It's a nice thought but even still, on later floors it won't be pratical. You may not be used in raids because of this. They would just go for the guy with a sword and shield because he has more damage potential. If you prefer a spear, just go completely spear. You have range so defense shouldn't be all that big a deal. Just keep your distance and you should be fine." London concluded. He seemed knowledgable on the subject of weaponry, tatics and strategems. A bit uneasing due to his young age.

  8. London remained calm and collected in his dispoistion, after reclaiming a bit more of his composure. Inside, he sighed with intesive relief. He failed to see how spinning the spear would result in anything good but he was no expert but he did know thats not how it worked. "First mini tip; speed is good. However, remember that speed isn't everything. Personally I think you'd be better off with a two handed spear. A one handed spear kinda defeats the point of a spear." London explained.

  9. London becamr a bit more annoyed. "Stop twirling your spear. It's not a baton, not a toy. Besides, we've some ways to go before we reach the gates or a place I can make a sufficent training ground." London explained, going on. "The first thing I'll have to teach you is obviously discipline. You're obviously lacking and I'm debating wether or not you should even hold that thing." London said. Sounding perhaps with a bit of malice but Soils needed to understand that the danger of this game is very real and being an idiot will get you killed in a fight if you don't accidently kill yourself.

  10. London watched the wolf, dropping his guard. Which was an obvious mistake. The wolf stood once more and strengthed itself, stabalizing. It then lunged forward. London didn't move, he thought the wolf wouldn't make it past a couple of feet. He was wrong. The wolf barely made it and clawed at London's shin. London moved back and closed an eye at the small pain. It was annoying but it didn't hurt too bad, just a little time and he'll be fine again. London couldn't help but smile, beginning to let out a low, dark sounding giggle. To any other person, this would be extremely unsettling but this wolf didn't know any better so it didn't take much of it. The wolf winced once more shaking off the bleed effect but collpasing to the ground after it's attack.

  11. London looked down at the wolf, it limped up, it's legs spasming and shaking rapidly from it's intensive wound. He decided to watch it suffer and bleed while it attempted to stand and fight as usual, whimpering. "How quickly the wolf becomes nothing more than a snivling pup..." London said aloud, not caring that it couldn't understand him. He wanted to watch the wolf die and bleed, to feel writhing pain. Why? Because it killed the bandit whom was given another chance. As comedically it happened, he was still killed. Regardless if it was a actual player or not. The wolf breathed harshly, panting, from it's wounds. It winched once more as another part of it's precious health bar is sliced off, leaving only 3 small slivers left.

  12. London stood errect for a moment. He then thought of something and lowered himself slightly, bending his knees and getting into a stance that isn't what he's studied in his fencing manual. He waited on the wolf glaring at the wolf with death in his eyes, staring back into the cold, pupiless coal black eyes of the wolf returning the stare. He batted the wolf. The wolf decided to induldge into it's instinct and took the bait, rushing in. London waited a split second before throwing his knee up, smashing his knee into the bottom jaw of the wolf, stopping it from it's blur, knocking it's head back. The wolf fell to the ground like rocks in a pool and London saw this and stabbed his rapier directly into the chest of the Alpha. Unfortuantly, not killing the wolf but severly wounding it. The alpha wolf yelped at this. London withdrew the blade from the wolf and a red flow of energy leached from the blade into his armor, speading to his wounds, healing them. A trikle of blood flowing out of wolf. London backed up and waited for the wolf to stand, it was normal again. It wouldn't be able to dash after that kind of attack. London thought.

  13. (well no one, normally it'd be you. But we're still in town, you don't nessecarily time jump like that. It'll take a bit, have some char development. Combat will come, be patient.)

London closed his eyes and sighed aggervated. It was beginning to show that soils was beginning to anger him. Normally he'd suffer the player, but he was already not in the happiest mood. "First, I'll teach you some basics of combat and be there just incase if you might get in danger I'll strike down what ever we're fighting and make sure you don't die. Especially not at level one. You shouldn't be so jumpy to want to fight monsters....It could prove to be your end one day so calm yourself. No, we aren't there yet and there is bread in your inventory. Go get some if you are hungry." London finished.

  14. London glared at the wolf and rushed towards it, attempting to close the distance and maybe turn it onto it's back, rendering it harmless for the moment while he would stab it in the Alpha Wolf's torso. Unfourtuantly, as he ran towards the wolf, waiting for the beast to strike, he heard a snap in the woods. Quite nearby and perhaps alarming. He gave it a quick glance to make sure he didn't have any more company and that he didn't have another pack member to deal with. Nothing, must have been just an ambient squrill or something stepping on a twig. He was rudely inturputed when he was launched into the air again from a headbutt from the wolf. The world seemed to go into slow-motion for half a moment as he turned back towards the wolf to see it burrowing it's head against his stomach. He was send flying and hit and skid across the ground. London got up and inspected himself, after struggling to get up for a moment. He had nothing more than the wind knocked out of him, or at least, that's all he cared to see since it's been proven that if he gave even a moments glance away from the beast, couple prove much deadlier.

  15. London's right eye twitched slight as he saw this. "Mon dieu...." London sighed. He rubbed his face and let his hand drop from his face. I really need to stop being a mentor to new players...he thought to himself. He remained silent as they walked, he thought about what he should teach the two new players.

  16. London raised an eyebrow to soils. He's going to get himself killed...he began to thought. He then saw soils stabbing the hard ground and it deflecting off, "The bloody hell are you doing?!" London demanded, "You're going to chip and break your blade and get yourself killed if you just flail around wildily." He said, irattated. Soils ignored his comment it seemed. He sighed, covering his eyes with his hand and shaking his head towards the ground. He removed his hand and looked at Alyss. "Yes...I think weird isn't the right word...As for thr shield. A friend of mine is a blacksmith and a talented one at that. Go to the Grand Forge, the name is in japenese if I'm correct. Tell him Sindon sent you and he should hook you up, or at the very least hold your order to a higher priority." He concluded. Letting out another sigh, laced with hints of melencholy. "Lets...get moving." London began to move, making a leasuirely pace.

  17. London raised an eyebrow to soils. He's going to get himself killed...he began to thought. He then saw soils stabbing the hard ground and it deflecting off, "The bloody hell are you doing?!" "Lets...get moving." London began to move, making a leasuirely pace.

  18. His disposition and posture was relaxed and a bit slouched, tired and exhaustion of body and mind were beginning to show on his face. "I was going to take these two out into the grasslands to show them the combat system." London explained. "I will say, your cutlass looks quite nice. May I ask your level?" London politely asked, somewhat as a niceity rather a ginune question but he was still curious. He turned his head to let out a yawn stretching his visage wide like a lion begore turning back to the three.

  19. London looked over his shoulder and saw the two still stationary. He stopped and turned halfway around. Looking at them abd the new player who was somewhat skaddily clad for someone who obviously had some experience in combat. He was looked at her cutlass for a moment, examning it before looking back to the two "You coming?" he asked. Looking at the new player that recently came to the group. "You're free to come along too if you wish." London offered. Awaiting a reply.

  20. London cocked an eyebrow "The...father of this game? There is no such thing..." he said, a bit confused at what the man was implying. "Speedy defense....I suppose that could work but you'd fit better as suppport in that case rather than a hybrid character. In the case of this game and your weapon type." London explained, continuing "You said that you were fimilar with sword skills, correct? If so, what master and specific weapon did you study or are you reffering to just what you see in swordsmanship in video game which is far from the real thing." London said. He was a bit confused by this player and their minor dillusions of grander. "I'll...show you the game," he said a bit uncomfotable. "Er..combat system. Follow." London becokend for them to follow as he began to walk towards the gate of the starting city that lead into the grasslands of the first floor.

  21. London watched the two socialize in utter silence. He remained silent when a kiss was brought up. Bitter memories. It's good these two are becoming allies fast...he thought. They'll need to stick together, he concluded. He was a bit annoyed by the girls arrogance assuming they both were devote fans of her, of which he's never heard of her and he didn't really care to. J-pop wasn't his kind of music. Her enthusiastic nature was a bit off putting to him. He looked at Soils "Alright...Just be mindful, if you go as a spear and shield person you will most likely be put into pike formations or another defensive-slash-supporting role in a group. If they know anything about strategics that is..." He stated. Perhaps seeming slightly pretentious, due to him showing a bit of his knowledge on the subject. This was not his intent of course but he could see how he could be misinteperted to seem that way. He decided to break their chit-chat with a bit more serious question. "Do either of you know of to fight. In this game. Like, are either of yoy fimilar with the combat system?" He questioned. His tone was calm and soft but it had a certain sharpness to it that may make it appear to be stern at times.

  22. London cocked his eyebrow even farther. "How could we not know it? You practically yelled it to everyone. And yes...I did say shield. I think you're unfimilar with weapons, am I wrong in saying this? You'd need a one handed spear and I don't know if the game has those. And a shield with a two handed weapon doesn't work. Do you prefer offense or defense?" He began to question the man infront of him. "There is no log out button. You just threw yourself into a death game. You either beat this game or die try-" he was interupted by the dancing "Uh..." he studdered. He was short on how to react to this situation, he thought it might be in his best interest to just walk away. But even if the man was ignorant to the severity of what he had just done and the situation he put himself into, he needed to at LEAST show him the combat system. Nobody else probably would and this man would probably die attempting to figure it out on his own, London assumed.

  23. The alpha wolf barked at London, it's walnut fur and silver underbelly was quite the sight, shimering when it bolted across the terrian and became nothing more than a blur. It would be a fine pelt and beautiful material. Maybe I should bring this to Oikawa....He's into wolves more than I am. He'd appreciate that pelt. London thought. Then, the alpha growled and leaned before launching itself once more, London dodged out of the way the moment he saw the wolf disappear. Bearly making it out of the way in time as the wolf flew past him and landed. Skidding on the ground, sending leaves and twigs flying as it drifted to turn and face London once more, snarling and barking at him as it growled in underlying tones of feriocity. Ready to rip out London's throat the moment it had a good hold on him. It's eye twitched as it was hit by the last point of bleed damage.

  24. London paced through the beginning of the town plaza, still bustling with new players. Why do they keep coming, they're either stupid or brave to come here even after the announcements of this death game. And to make matters worse, I see people who are joining and are stationed in the US as am I. So they KNOW the dangers and went in anyways. Idiots... London thought, he recently had a hard time with a highway man on the road from the deep forest on floor 1 to the city. He refused to pay and won but took more hits than he would have like. He appeared calm and collected as usual, on the inside he was rather irrated. This occasionally seeped through but he kept his composure for the most part.

Then, London looked about coming to a stop. He saw a player in all cloth clothing announcing his presence. He had a basic wooden shaft with a poorly made peice of metal on the end. The starting spear. London would normally ignore this and passed him by but he decided to humor the new player and attempt to help him out. He already has taken a good amount of new players on a run of the basics so why not one more? He approached the player, he was wearing his usual armor, black and having scaled, carvings on it they made the armor look art-like. His left hand rested on the pommel of his rapier, which was sheated in a nice leather sheath, black like the swept spiral onyx hilt that covered it. He presence was somewhat unsettling but also calming at the same time, despite his grim visage and emotionless glance. "Hello. New to the game I see...Silver-Soils, you said your name was? A pleasure to make your acquintence...I heard you say something about getting a shield, correct?" He inquired and raised an eyebrow at the question, resting his right hand on his hip, bearing a black wolf ring on his middle finger.
