  1. When the bandit was destroyed his hand re-materialised as if it had never been cut off. Hyun smirked "Well that's handy" The woman looked at him rather surprised that he had no weapon. Naturally, this game was called sword art online after all. He turned to face her and massaged his wrist still glad that it wasn't permanent. "Don't worry to much about it, I'm no longer unarmed" Looked at her with a sly grin as he showed her his hand. He gathered his composure again and cleared his throat "It's a locked skill called martial arts. I don't use weapons and I'm a martial artist in real life so I was glad this game had such a skill. It's a lot more suited for my taste" Hyun briefly dusted himself off and examined the woman for a moment surprised she killed the thing straight after he hit it.

  2. Hyun watched as the guild got right into it, he knew he wasn't strong enough to be one hitting the mobs like the rest were and so his efforts would be redundant but still, Hyun wasn't the type to just flounder around because he wasn't good enough. He'd help, if it could be called that. Hyun stretched out his arms and walked over towards one of the Nepents with his hands in his pockets. It seemed as though it was writhing in fear of the others as it watched its kin be slaughtered. It tried to lash out at Hyun but he tilted his body ever so slightly to the side and caused it's strike to completely miss him. He was now within striking range of the mob and simply stomped on it's head squishing it to the floor, like expected it didn't die to him as easily as it did with the others. He dragged it's head across the ground and kicked it over to the rest of the guild so they could finish it off and waited to see if he could spot the last one. The things were smaller than he expected but he guessed that's why they were referred to as the 'Bloom' variety. He wondered what the bigger ones looked like but wasn't sure if he wanted to find out. Hyun ran his fingers through his hair and began to walk closer over towards the rest of the group.

  3. Hyun got the memo from Mari, it seemed like their guild meeting had finally come round to getting them to quest together like discussed. It would be a good opportunity to get ahead like he planned to. Things had been going slower than he would have liked them to but he foreseen that things will soon pick up for him. It wasn't like he was in any particular rush anyhow, this was all but another step to his end goal. Hyun had arrived and everyone seemed rather keen on moving on, he was late but fashionably; it was just before Mari had mentioned why she had remained an orange player. "How tragic, my condolences to you Mari. I apologise for my tardiness, I don't think there's any reason to be waiting around anymore." Hyun crossed his arms and eye'd over the players, it was the just same faces except for Shuyin, it seemed like he was the first to be removed from the guild. It was a shame but it seemed like Hyun wouldn't be facing omission anytime soon, not like it would bother him.

  4. The woman seemed to space out shortly after barely answering his question, she hadn't made up her mind and lost herself in thought, there is definitely something about her relationship with Mari he doesn't know. She was definitely a cunning one but it was wise not to talk to much about those kinds of things, gossip often lead to trouble. Hyun turned his head to get a better look at her, you could tell a lot about a person simply by looking into their eyes. "Stay right where you are" A voice called out from behind them. It was a bandit most likely after the supplies they were travelling with. Hyun turned as the sand storm began to pick up, buffeting against his muscular chest and ruffling the thin fabric of his clothing. His hair was swept to the side as the harsh winds took a toll on his hp. Hyun wasn't sure what to make of the bandit but he definitely wasn't going to let him get his way, the last guy who did escaped with 1 hp and a sorry ass. He wondered if this character however was just an npc.

He shrugged and stared at the bandit "I know what you want. If you think you can take it then come and get it." The bandit stood stunned for a moment and grunted "You asked for it!" The bandit ran straight for him with its blade held high above his head. Hyun shuffled his leg back and waited for his approach. The bandit was at him now and brought the large machete down onto Hyun; he lifted his arm taking the hit and causing his left hand to be cut off just after deflecting its attack. Hyun groaned in pain but used the mans lunge to his advantage digging his right fist into the bandits stomach and lifting his entire body off the ground and in one swift motion lifted him above his head and slammed him back down into the ground winding him and causing a large red mark to appear in the centre of the bandits abdomen and winding him. Hyun straightened himself and brushed some sand off his shoulder and stared at the hand the bandit cut off. "Im not entirely sure what i expected to happen. I guess martial arts has its drawbacks." He frowned and stared down at the bandit as it scurried to its feet and spaced himself a fair distance away from Hyun. "Just stand and deliver!"

  5. Hyun wondered why everyone was so self righteous in this guild, it didn't occur to him at the start that the guild was a band of solo players skulking about their self importance. However he knew from the start that people associated with Mari had to be independent, it was no matter at this point. All that meant was that he would have to disappear at the right time, he had no care for trying to prove himself to everyone else regardless of whether or not he would be kicked from the guild eventually. He highly doubted that anyone would actually enjoy each others company in the event that they did band together to work towards a common goal, only looking to further themselves. Hyun sighed and folded his arms again "Artisan hm? That might not be such a bad idea. I've always been good with my hands" He smirked and gave Mari a wink, he was also of course a martial artist after all. It looked as though the discussion was nearing it's end now. "Is there anything else you need to address to us Mari?"

  6. It was clear to Hyun that the woman beside him had zero trust in him, the way she spoke, the way she walked, the way she looked at him. It was obvious, but who could blame her, he was tall, muscular, dark, and intimidating. The thought slightly amused him however, considering he was merely a level 6, if she knew she probably wouldn't be as anxious but he wasn't about to admit his weakness to her. The two travelled together but they had not partied together and even then, levels could still be hidden. Hyun preferred to stay a mystery, it offered for a more... entertaining game or turn of events, so to speak, and this so happened to be one of them. Hyun rubbed his chin as she explained how she had met Mari, it was no surprise it had been by rumour of her talent, she gave off a monstrous aura which was just another thing that intrigued Hyun about her. "Hmm, what do you think about her?" He was rather interested to hear the opinions of other people, it helped him to learn, and helped him to adapt. Also it was just generally good knowledge, anything worth noting is always useful.

  7. Hyun rubbed his neck as she scurried over to the NPC to get the quest to. Somehow he felt he should keep an eye on her, normally when someone pauses to think on a common goal they are scheming something. She came back and asked if he was ready to head off, he nodded and made his way "Good. Let's head off before it gets dark" It didn't take long for them to get out of the main settlement, the road ahead, if you could call it a road, went on as far as the eye could see. Hyun rubbed the bottom of his jaw as he checked the map, it would indeed take at least one night to get to their destination. He frowned in dissatisfaction, and looked back over at the girl walking beside him, she'd have to keep him company until then. "You had some interesting answers back at the guild meeting... How do you know Mari?" Small talk it was.

  8. Hyun had turned around so he could go do inventory before he headed off and to his surprise someone had bumped into him. The tiny figure fell on her ass and claimed to know him. He thought for a moment and smirked once he realised who she was. "Hmm? Oh right, you were at the guild meeting.." Hyun had not given her much thought back then, he was to tired to have been really paying attention but now that he took a better look at her she was rather cute. He didn't have much time to be idling around however, but he wondered if she was here for the same reason he was "By chance, are you here to complete the traveller quest? If so i could use some company" Hyun maintained eye contact with the woman and gave a canny smile, offering a helping hand so she could get up.

  9. Hyun had made his way to the 5th floor for the first time, he had heard about a quest which would help him survive and if he wanted to get out alive he would have to do exactly that. Not only was the 5th floor plain and dry it was also freaking hot. The heat sun beat down on his back and he was already and he felt as though he was going to start to sweat "They couldn't just turn temperature senses off in the damn game could they.." He mumbled to himself. There was no pathway to floors main settlement, only sand, but he was prepared enough to have already had the location and how to get there given to him by brokers. This was yet only another step on his journey, he still had to do the earning a living quest so he could make some capital while he was around and get better gear. Hyun hated being weak, being weak meant you were bound for failure and he wasn't a failure, he had to be a cut above the rest. He was the type of person to strive for his goal until he reached it; no slacking off, no detours, no shortcuts, no stops for pleasure, the real reward, the real pleasure, was when he was on top. And that's how Hyun liked it.

Hyun was finally at the main settlement and he was glad he was finally there, it wasn't his style of living but he wasn't planning on staying to have fun. Hyun still had the basic gear, some cloth clothing which lightly rested on his masculine figure and hand wraps which he recently obtained after finishing the breaking the unbreakable quest. It felt good to make use of a style of fighting he actually knew how to use. He turned entered the towns tavern and surely enough the cloaked figure was there awaiting him. The npc explained its sad story and gave him the quest, it would be a two day hike across the floor to deliver some goods which he didn't really care for. He wanted to get the rewards and move on, hopefully never seeing this floor again.

  10. Hyun smirked at the way Mari had responded to everyone, she was definitely something else and not in a necessarily bad way. He was satisfied with her answer and it was fair enough, he would take a look later but he doubted the guild storage would have anything of use to him. The player named Crozeph was done with them all just as soon as had waltzed in, if there wasn't anything left to be said Hyun would leave himself. He unfolded his arms and scratched the back of his neck trying not to yawn. Mari then stated she'd move on to professions and his attention was caught again. "None here, Im ready to move on to professions. I was planning on doing earning a living tomorrow actually. Do you have any suggestions or tips for taking it?"

Hyun was much to tired to put on any other expression but seriousness, he wasn't phased by her survival of the fittest scheme for keeping a strong small guild if he was considered to be weak he wasn't going to try and defend it. Hyun didn't have to prove anything to anybody. Even though he was a much lower level than the others he knew how the world worked, sometimes it wasn't always about how much you had, it was how you used it.

  11. Hyun tapped his jaw as Mari continued the boy next to him spoke up and stated his opinion shortly after. If she was going to help out he wasn't going to let the opportunity slip past "Well i'm currently looking for a set of equipment, I currently still only possess the starting gear. I was thinking maybe a tailored suit and gloves... oh and an amulet. Health potions would be appreciated and I It's always useful to go questing. Of course, if that's not to much to ask. As for my plans.. well I like to take opportunities as i see them." Hyun folded his arms and rubbed his shoulder. He was glad he ended up coming to this meeting, he would be able to make it very clear exactly what he wanted from the guild, but of course nothing came for free. He digressed before continuing on waiting for Mari to present the catch... there was always, a catch.

  12. Hyun half smiled, Mari was again getting him to be errand boy. He didn't even know who Crozeph was and in honesty couldn't care less. Mari continued on and what she would say next especially raised Hyuns attention. It wasn't everyday you got a history lesson on guild dominance but here he was being well educated. Hyun was content in silence and eagerly listened to what she had to say, It wasn't long before he point in the matter was imposed on them, why did they join? It was a fair question to ask any new members and it would only have felt right for Hyun to give an honest opinion. Mari then focused on the brunette who then gave her an answer. He couldn't tell if it was a serious answer at all, she seemed much to eager.. but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. When she was done she simply asked Mari if it would suffice and so once Mari had replied it would be his turn.

Hyun kept his arms where they were, resting his hands behind his head, he looked up for a moment and back down at Mari. "Well I could sell you a sweet story or I could tell you the truth. The simple truth is that a guild is useful, nothing more and nothing less. Do not get this sentence confused however, i have every intention of getting back to my real life, and I think that goes for all of us." He let his arms drop and shrugged "The reality is we can't stay in here forever, I'd give ourselves 3 years tops before the hospitals start to cut off our life support"

  13. Hyun prepared to make his way to the tenth floor in which he'd go to the meeting. He wasn't sure why it had to be the tenth floor of all placed but he supposed Mari just liked to live life on the edge, or she was forced to based on the fact that she was a pker. Then again he would have to wait and see for himself. He wasn't one to make expectations of other people.

  14. It was at that time he received a message from Mari, he wasn't sure what for but he assumed it meant business, Mari wasn't the type to just message another person just to say hi or check up on them, or at least thats what he had gathered about her. She seemed very distant and untrusting but anyone who lived long enough soon realised you couldn't trust anyone, not even those you once considered close friends. That was what he could pick up from it, there must have been many tragedies for that women and it would probably explain the orange tag on her name. He opened the message and to no surprise it was a guild meeting notification to be enacted upon immediately. He sighed and dragged himself out of the bar, it would have to be dealt with.

  15. Hyun stepped inside a tavern and tried to relax. He was done for the day, he could just relax and not worry about another thing for the rest of the day. Something he didn't get to often. He wondered how long it would take to get out of the stupid game but then again that was just to much thinking and worrying which Hyun didn't want to do. He ordered a beer and began to drink away at it vigorously not caring if he looked like a slob. His body ached and clear distinction in his muscle could be seen like someone out of an anime. A few players were staring at him from a distance but he simply eye'd them down as he drank his beer without a care. If they had something to say they could say it to his face, he wasn't going to try and be the analytic or charming guy today, he was just going to drink beer and sleep. He checked the time, there was still a good few hours to go until he would sleep.

  16. Hyun scratched the back of his head as he wasn't which way he was going at this point. He checked the minimap to reassure himself and kept going. He headed further up the road and finally reached the town. He took note of the guards that stood watch and headed inside. It didn't take him long before he finally reached the quest turn in point. The NPC was thankful for him clearing the boulder and gave him his rewards. He simply accepted the rewards and headed off thinking about his next step of actions. Perhaps he would have to take the <<Earning a living>> quest after all, though it was getting late now and he didn't want to rush his decision. The feeding the enemy quest was also an option he had heard about through information brokers but it wasn't something he was to keen on doing straight away and he wasn't sure what type of familiar he would have if he did go for one.

  17. Hyun stretched out and yawned silently trying not to draw to much attention to himself and placed his hands behind his head, clearly still tired. His body was also still to tense and his muscles tight, all he really wanted to do was spend the night at the tavern and sleep. He was about to make a comment until another person walked in, a female. He had never seen or heard about her before but then again, he was still new to the game. She only offered a nod and a smile, it seemed mostly everyone in here was for business, and that he liked. He wasn't all to keen on spending to much time here either as a good nights rest meant a prepared mind. "Are we waiting for anyone else?" He finally said, in a stark tone trying not to sound to impatient. He wasn't exactly sure what it was people did in a guild meeting but he assumed it would be important and beneficial, after all that was why he joined in the first place.

  18. Hyun made his way back towards the main settlement, he couldn't believe the nerve of some of the people in this game. The boy was lucky Hyun wasn't a murderer, he had a strong distaste for those killed other people. It was very... un-classy. Speaking of class, it was just about time that Hyun was to get a profession. He had planned to do that since first joining the game but was evidently sidetracked. He wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do, he didn't know the word on the street for the best col making methods but he assumed any profession that made armours weapons or even merchanting could bare profit to a player. Perhaps merchanting was a more fitting role for him? He tapped his chin as he continued to walk, pondering over various prospects.

  19. Hyun stood over the mans body once again and stomped on his back. "Are you getting the picture. Boy!?" Hyun said in a condescending tone. The man looked up at him with a furious expression and used the mace to smack his other foot causing him to fall on his back. It was the first bit of damage the bandit had inflicted. Hyun was no amateur when it came to ground fights either, it didn't take him long to roll to one side and use his legs to get his arm into an arm bar threatening to pull the mans arm off. Hyun wasn't sure what the boy was doing, did he really want to die that badly? "I suggest you take a good look at your health bar before swinging at a man again. All it takes is one pull of this little arm of yours and you say goodbye to the world you once loved" The bandit stopped squirming the second he realised his situation. "I... please... don't kill me. I didn't want to kill you I just wanted some col ok! Im scared.. and i don't want to die!" Hyun rolled his eyes and pushed off of him once again dusting himself off. The bandit quickly stumbled to it's feet and held his arms out begging Hyun not to kill him. "If you want to make a living then earn it boy. If I catch you up to no good again. It's death. You understand?" The bandit nodded and turned tail running off into the distance. Hyun sighed and fixed his collar "Tch, kids."

  20. Hyun got in motodachi stance which put most of his weight on his front foot. He stared at the bandit waiting for him to come with a calm expression on his face, he could see the bandit flinching in his place where he stood. The bandit had no idea who Hyun was or where he came from yet the boy insisted on picking a fight with him. The bandit charged holding the mace by his side, Hyun thought back to some of his Judo training and kept his arms relaxed ready for a throw. The bandit was within striking distance and stopped just before Hyun could react in a text book manner swinging the mace at his head. Hyun switched styles as he picked up on the method of attack the bandit was employing ducking under the mace and bring his arms in a head guard like manner. This time it was a boxing style. After ducking the blow Hyun shifted his weight and moved his left foot out allowing him sway to the left and go in for a devastating liver busting upwards punch which dug beneath the mans ribs, without a moments hesitation he switched to a teakwando style and spun ninety degrees towards the mans body bringing his right foot up towards the sky and hammered it down on top of the mans neck causing his face to slam into the gravel. Hyun couldn't help but let a wolfish grin sprawl across his face.

  21. The bandit came at him with an overhead swing but that was to predictable for Hyun, he moved in quick and raised his arm to block knocking the mans hand away causing him to lose grip of his weapon. He pushed his next left forward shifting his entire body weight to a single point and palmed the mans chest with his left hand which sent the man off his feet and into the dirt in a matter of seconds. Hyun hovered over the mans body and stomped on his chest, he looked at the mans health bar and smirked, he was going to be easier than the rock. "Isn't this just precious. Come on boy, get to your feet" Hyun kicked the man up and he stumbled to his feet grabbing his mace that laid just off the side. "Lucky shot! Let's see you try that again!" The bandit grumbled, he clearly wasn't getting the picture.

  22. Hyun wiped his brow and threw his shirt over his shoulder, he was done with quests for today, all he wanted to do was relax at a tavern and prepare for the earning a living quest so he could finally get things done. He was on his way to the main road when a man stepped in front of him, he had a mace and a shield. The man chuckled and kicked him to the floor "Your col or your life" Hyun stared at him, he wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to do. He would only give the col out of free will through trade and this guy didn't seem like an orange. Hyun got up and dusted himself off "Right. Lets go then."  The man looked at him in disbelief "Your either crazy, stupid or a gambler" Hyun smirked, it was a line he heard not long ago "Well, I consider myself a lucky man" Without much left to say he got into south paw stance ready for the man to swing.

  23. Hyun was relieved that the thing would finally be done for, he brought his right fist back tilting his entire body and pushing his left arm forward. With a cry of ferocity his right fist powered forward like a rocket and completely shattered the boulder on impact leaving a gust of wind rushing forward. A second later a banner dropped down telling him he had completed the quest and received martial arts. All that was left was to turn it in. He smiled in satisfaction, maybe this game was so bad after all, it definitely felt rewarding, that was for sure. He tried not to think to much about the real world and headed back into town to finally turn in the quest.
