  1. "I suppose we could sit down and talk about our lives and really get to know each oth- Oh-ho, another strong warrior enters the field~" She said, looking back at the new comer before looking back to Lowenthal, "Guess you won't get that chance to get to know me better until a later date- such a shame~" Those last few words were added in with an extra twist, and she chuckled before waving back to the third on the field, before shooting him a Party invite. Left hand resting on the weapon hilt she held out a hand to the new arrival and greeted him, welcoming to their little combat soirée. "The more the merrier, and it's not like anything good was going to happen, was it?" Her face looked back at Lowenthal with an evil grin at his expense.

  2. Claire let out a disappointed sigh of exacerbated relief; didn't feel good to feel like she had basically lost all sense of worth at the game, but to do it in front of somebody else. She looked and saw a loot menu in front of her, hitting the accept button without really looking at it first, seeing that she got all of Lownthal's rewards as well. She was not too proud to decline his hand for help off of the ground, face looking away from his in a mixture of shame and self pity, before getting herself back together. "A short break, then I will destroy one of these pigs! And I'll do it in half the time!" She said proudly, holding her head high as she walked over to her blade, digging it out of the ground and whipping it off on her mostly worthless armor.

  3. She looked at him and gave a nod, before taking two side steps side to side and slashing from the ground up directly at the beast, eager to get the final hit on the swine that had lasted for far too long! The blade came up, and then flew out of her hand; spinning threw the air for a bit before resting a few feet away from her, planted firmly in the glass. A small sob started to come to her lips, "But, I... Why.. Why is this so hard....?"

  4. Seeing her companion on the ground she did a leaping slash towards its face, hoping to maybe take off a tusk or something- hoping she wouldn't fail and miss the rather large target again. Unfortunately for her, her hopes did not come true, and it missed by a massive margin, almost hitting Lowenthal by mistake. "My apologies, how is this thing so hard to spit!" her frustrated voice going more and more into thick French accent.

  5. "I see, very strange indeed, but no matter, I shall try again!" She said aloud, Feet dancing a circle around the boar while its focus was on her bodyguard of a partner. Getting more into the flow of battle she carved the talwar across the flank of the opposite side, hoping to strike deep enough to damage it severely. Alas, it was not to be so, and she stumbled as the blade missed the overgrown swine by a wide margin. "Confound it all, Stay still, Vous morceau de mammouth de lard!"

  6. Watching the double miss she cried out, 'Mon Dieu! I see, so I just go like this?' She held back her blade before charging forwards and taking a slash at it, spinning on her heels as she spun in a cresent slash. It impacted, slashing through it's hide before ending up behind it, though it seemed to have little sucess. "What? That was not enough? But I hit it in the flank!"

  7. “Sound’s like a plan,†she stated, drawing her blade from it’s scabbard and standing at the ready for whatever may come out. While normally the monsters around her would be weak it was never a good ideal to leave everything up to luck, “Sooo, where are they?†The question was less at Lowenthal and more just in general, she had expected it to have been like a few other games she had seen, with huge fields full of monsters- yet it was completely clear.

  8. She looked over to him, looking at his HP numbers, seeing that he was a higher level than herself, which would make a better point man. "I will let you lead and defer to your judgment for now." It didn't take long for them to reach the gateway that separated the city from the dangerous world outside, she had traveled outside of the city a few times but never very far and not for long; she was hoping he'd be a fine enough bodyguard and teacher as to how to effectively fight the creatures of this place. She kept her eyes scanning the plains, on the look out for any creature spawns, hand at her hilt nervously.

  9. "Yes, that sounds like an excellent ideal." She said briefly, before turning on her heel and starting to walk towards the exit of the city. Turning her head to look back at Lowenthal she smiled and brought up her menu. Sending him a quick party invite and stating, "You may be my escort for this task, I will here no if's and's or but's!" And then looked forwards again, continuing her path towards the field.

  10. "A Strawberry…thing?" she said a bit confused at what he meant. Some sort of parfait or something? Regardless it sounded like it would cost money- Cor was it? "I will have to pass mon ami, My purse happens to be a bit empty at the moment~" she said, not exactly happy with the fact, a bit downtrodden before picking up, "And I will not accept your charity to pay for me! If I m to taste this, strawberry thing, I must earn it myself, tout de suite!"

  11. "Such an odd name, but none the less, It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lowenthal." She said with grace, giving him a small curtsy. It was an odd name for an odd man, fitting. "Now then," She picked up her train of thought. "What did you have in mind for an activity?" Brushing off the bench seat and sitting down lightly while waiting for his response. She placed her fingers on the hilt of her curved saber, rubbing it subconsciously.

  12. "My my, so forwards~" She said with a smirk, before nodding her head to single she wasn't. "Nope, I'm a free as the day I entered into this place." The smirk faded as she looked up where he was looking. "Il peut être joli, mais faux est faux." She let out a small sigh and offered her hand to the young man, to help him up.

"I have no plans at the moment, so I suppose that means I'm totally free, all to you~" Mocking his awkwardness. With hand placed upon her breast she said to him, in a regal tone "You may refer to me as Claire, Peasant~" Sticking her tongue out at him at the end.

  13. Claire Sat at a lovely little Shoppe, one where the owners had put out an outdoor dining area, munching on one of her bread items. "Donc Fade! Could the makers of this game have made this bread anymore bland?!" She cried in indigent tone. With an unhappy look and managed to get the rest of the relatively tasteless bread down, finishing it off with a drink of water before standing up and walking around the town some more. What to do, what to do? She needed to go out training but to go alone with the threat of death looming over her head was not a fun thought. She thought she could handle it, but what if she couldn't?!

Thinking away the grim thoughts she ended up at a bench in a small impasse, with not a soul in sight save for a young man lazily looking at the sky. The nerve, here she was thinking about how to get started and this man was just doing nothing! "Must be nice…" She started in a rather appalled voice. "To have so much free time on your hands and waste it stareing up at a fake sky. Un tel imbécile!" She said shifting back into her maiden tounge as she insulted him lightly. She wasn't really mad with him per say, more with her own lack of confidance- she just needed a little punching bag of sorts. "I appologize, It is wrong of me to judge others so harshly."

  14. @Zelrius Thank you for the offer and tips, but I'll pass on making you rp with me once- it seems like something you don't really want to do so I won't make you Xp

@Hikoru I'd have no issue role playing with you! Anytime~

@Lowenthal Same goes for you- though I already told you so in the Conversation you sent me=P Don't be so hard on yourself your journal looks great hun, as for mine, I just got inspired to make mine really in-depth- I'd almost say too in-depth but it's to help explain her actions and personality at times

But to both of you I have zero issue role playing with you when ever you each one, or possibly together. Everything is better with friends, even a game of life and death!

  15. Helllloooo everyoneee~  If you couldn't tell by post count (Looks over slyly at her miniscule post count.) I'm looking for a few friends to help me learn the ropes- ins and out of combat and such- Really not to picky as long as your character isn't a total awful person, though I could work with it if we could get a Duo/Buddy comedy going with us playing off eachother.

I ask mostly because entering into this knowing nobody and trying to do things solo is a wee bit intimidating when such a large system that I haven't fully mastered yet.

» Real name: Claire Deu Valanar

    » Age: 21

    » Gender: Female

    » Height: 5'8"

» About: Claire was born as a normal girl in England, where she lived for 4 happy years of her life as a average child. On her 5th birthday however she was relocated, as well as her father and mother to France on wishes of her grandfather, whom was a duke- Though her father had long since abandoned all claims to his title he was still only allowed a 5 year span to meet the commoner whom would be his wife, and enjoy a life in her country before coming home where his father said he belonged.

So on her 5th Birthday Claire was introduced to the world of the French elite, though she was not given the full reign due to being born of both a commoner and an English woman, her grandfather insisted that she attend to all the things that she would have had to do if she were a real duchess.

One of such things was learning to dance to better enter highborn society. To everyone's surprise she wasn't just good at dancing, she was a natural. Ballroom, Tango, Waltz, she learned many forms of dancing all very fast, quickly surpassing all other students in her class, and quickly out growing her private instructor.

It didn't stop at simply dancing either. Many forms of art where quickly picked up and perfected; Painting, Singing, evening playing the piano where all added to her skill set, which pleased her grandfather and eased his ire towards her mother.

She was happy, her parents where happy, her grandfather was happy. But unfortunately, that happiness would not laugh. One day when she was 13 an accident stuck on her way home from a recital, a car crashed into their own, killing her mother and crippling her from the waist down. It was a tragedy fitting of a French noble, and while it was a saddening event, she was forced to move on.

Her grandfather however didn't agree, foolishly blaming her mother for his son's death and having her deported back to England, keeping Claire with him in Paris. Thankfully they lived in the world of the internet and technology so she and her mother where still able to keep in contact, and her grandfather still allowed her mother to come to France on her birthdays.

By the time she turned 21 she had heard of a technology called the Nervegear- a Device that put the user into a world of limitless imagination that defied the mortal world. Rightfully assuming that it would give her the ability to walk again, even if only in a fake world, she persuaded her grandfather to get her into the beta test for the launch title for the system; Sword Art Online. Unfortunately, it was not written in the stars, and her grandfather was unable to get her into the beta.

Yet when the full game came out she had a copy on a plane from tokyo to Paris before anybody else. She didn't take the game too seriously at first, she wasn't there for the rpg, so while she was the first day, she didn't do much more than marvel and gawk at the ability to be mobile once more- Walking, Running, Sprinting, Jumping; Doing the many things she had long since lost the ability to do in a wheelchair!

It wasn't until she found herself trapped in a game to the death until she realized she had to fight for her life. But, at the same time, She had never felt more alive. If the game was real, and her life mattered, then what difference was this 'Aincrad' to the real world? She happily accepts this challenge, hoping to master it like she has done so many other art forms.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    » Virtues:

Artistic Savant- Claire is not only well versed in many forms of art, but has little trouble learning new forms- not only that but she has an extreme eye for anything artistic. Some may call her a critic but she can sort through the mundane to find the exceptional, and perhaps even imitate it.

Noble Air- While she wasn't always this way, Claire practically exudes an aura of regality, showing no fear in the face of adversity, and backing down from no challenge. While this may tend to make her bite off more than she can chew she will never show weakness in front of those she considers her lesser.

Generous- Despite coming off as arrogant and pompous Claire frequently cares for the well being of others, mattering not if they are ally or strangers. She will often give to those in need so that one day they will not.

    » Flaws:

Blunt as a Battleaxe- Claire may have been raised among the elite but she was one to never hold her tongue or pussyfoot around a person to save keep feelings from being hurt. She'll say what she has, get to the point, and watch you cry; Truth tends to hurt~

Weakness Complex- Claire hates to be reminded of her flaws, of her inability to do certain things she has yet to master. She can't stand feeling useless in any given situation, and that she needs the assistance of somebody stronger or more capable than her.

A hole in her Pocket- Despite being overly generous, she is also given to flights of fancy when it comes to money. Fancy dressers, shiny baubles, small sale on bulk potions; whatever it may be she will want with all her heart to buy it. Most of the time she can control these urges, but every now and then she walks out of a general store with 50 Para-heal potions in a box, and a depressed look on her face…

» Lowenthal- Friend. While new to her companions, he seems to be interested in helping her learn the ropes. She can tell he's obviously interested in her, but Parris is the city of love, and such pinning are not uncommon where she is from. She tends to tease him about it though, because it's enjoyable~

  17. I did notice an issue in the guides, The extra details for the Preformer Profession seem to ether be missing or locked to my account- I don't know which but it tells me it's ether or. Dunno if intentional or bug, but seeing as I'm intrested in what that profession entails seeing as it doesn't make normal crafted stuff...

Edit: Posted my journal, may have made too much backstory and looking back at it it seems a little grim- though she doesn't think of it as so ~.~
