Takao

» HISTORY

Takao was born into a family of three that consisted of his older sister and parents, and would later become an older brother to his younger sister. His father was born in Canada and moved to America in order to attend a college in Minnesota for Mechanical Engineering. Around the same time, Takao's mother began to take acting classes in Osaka. Years later, his father received a temporary job at a university in the same city as Takao's mother, who had established herself as a C-list Actress. They met by chance at a bar and began a relationship soon thereafter. Takao's mother acted as a translator for his father, who had no skill in the native language, until he learned. When his father's temporary job managed to land him a permanent position a few months later, the couple began living together.

Takao enjoyed a very normal and comfortable life growing up. His middle class upbringing in the city of Osaka meant that he found himself exposed to a plethora of cultures; tourism was rampant in one of the most populated cities in Japan. He naturally adopted English as his second language from a young age after repeated exposure to foreigners and tourists, in addition to one of his parents speaking the language natively. He also developed a protective personality after the birth of his sister, to whom he was five years her senior, which persisted into his teenage years.

In school, Takao befriended a couple: Michio and Tatsuya. The three became very good friends quickly, bonding over a shared love for video games.
