  1. Red had never been so high in Aincrad before. Up until now, floor 6, the jungle floor had been her highest adventure. Their she had crossed the Gemini and won, but that had been a fluke in many respects, and she had not dared to fight anything else around that power. Of course in this case Mack would be with her, so she felt bolder than normal. He had invited her here after all, on an adventure of sorts, complete with monsters and treasure and lord only knew what else. Of course this was not a normal quest, but like Avalanche or anything of the sort, but it was going to still be a great adventure.

She had been told other people would be there, though up until now she had not met them. One of the benefits of being in such an active and social guild was the connections she would make with many many people. So far it had been great. Red approached the group on the 7th floor now and quickly noticed that she was the last one to arrive. Mack was there along with two others already. "I'm sorry I'm late." She said apologetically as she joined the trio. She gave them all a pleasant smile before bowing her head. "Call me Red. I'm glad that I could be a part of this."

  2. Red tore through the starting town on her way to the south gate. She still had to cross the Plaza, and the merchants quarter which given the time of day would be packed with people starting out on their own adventures. The young blonde was on her way to meet up with some of her guild members to assist in a quest that they had been planning for quite some time. Unfortunately, she had woken up late today putting her behind schedule, and forcing the rushed pace. She couldn't afford to be late, she wasn't after all an official member of the party, so they would leave without her.

Red rounded a corner sharply exploding into the open street. As she expected it was packed, at least in this district. Worry flooded over the girl now as she realized she wouldn't make it at this rate. "Get Out of the way." She shouted as she continued her sprint. As in most cases people simple kept going ignoring her as she pressed on, much to her frustration. This caused the small woman to curse loudly as she weaved in and out of the mass of bodies. A brief break in the crowd revealed that near the fountain was fairly vacant, she just needed to navigate the 100 or so yards of people and then it was clear sailing.

Another loud curse allowed for another temporary break and Red was off again. This time she hugged the walls, darting along the city architecture with grace as she neared her goal. After a few moments she was clear of the crowd and freely running past the fountain. She was so happy to be free of the people that she hadn't noticed the cart being pushed out in front of her till it was too late. With only a moments time to think Red bailed from her course, only to trip over the fountains ledge. She landed with a splash, soaking herself and everything around her. She rose from the water sharply, cursing loudly and shaking her fist angrily at the man who had been pushing the cart. He, being an NPC, did not respond, but instead simply carried on pushing his cart on whatever pre programmed loop he had been set on. "Just great." She said in a rather disappointed voice as she stepped out of the fountain dripping water onto the street.

  3. Suddenly Red's heart began to race. Takao had agreed to dance with her, despite confessing to never have done it before. Her own experience was little, nothing more than high school dances. Her Ex had not danced with her since those days, back when he would show off for his friends and cop a feel of her back side while they circled around. It was amazing now as she looked back on such memories, that she had ever actually cared about a skeez like that. He had used her in so many ways, and she had been completely blind to it. Her only thought back then was how lucky she was to have found someone, anyone at all. He was certainly not Mr. Right, not like she believed back then.

Red smiled at Takao as she stood up, returning from her memories to the here and now. He wanted to dance, and was so far an incredibly nice guy. He was tall, had pretty green eyes, much like her own, and had acted like a perfect gentleman. She held out her hand now, giving him the chance to take it, before leading him off towards the middle of the dance floor. A few couples were already there, swaying around. "Here but your hands on my hips, and Ill put my hands around your neck." As she spoke she stepped closer to Takao, and raised her arms up, resting them on his shoulders. "Just relax, and move with me. Don't worry about anyone else." She whispered as she looked up into his eyes.

    Battle: 9

Before Red could think she was snapped up by Mack again. He pulled her in tight, but this time applied his fist to her scalp in a Noogie. Red screamed in frustration as she struggled to get free, but found the attempt to be in vain, he was just too strong. That however did not stop her from squirming and fighting anyways. "..." After a moment or so she was finally released, or perhaps she struggled free, she couldn't tell. All she knew was that her was a mess. Red staggered for a moment, frustrated and disoriented from the recent attack, But even in this state she found no respite, as a swift kick to her side sent her to the ground.

The little tank hit the ground with a thud rolling over her sides and onto her hands and knees. She coughed as she looked up to see both Mack and Shirosu. stood above her. She needed to win this, to prove her strength, but she was angry now, she needed to win, just for the sake of winning. She was not about to lose to another Noogie. So far though she had been unable to escape Macks, grasp, and Shirosu seemed to have found her stride so she wouldn't last another volley from either. The question was who would get her wrath.

In a flash Red got to her feet, leaving her spear on the ground where she had been, as she charged towards Mack. He had attacked her in a joke of a fashion so far, so now she would show him the error of his ways. The gap between the two closed quickly, and in the final second she took a leap into the air aiming for the Red haired mountain. As she flew through the air she curled up, placing her feet on the underside of her shield, and in the final moment she stretched kicking her shield hard into Macks chest. The effect had been that of a drop kick, but rather than her feet, it had been her shield that had been the point of contact.

Red hit the ground with a thud on her back, and the shield landed with a clatter. "Three... Thats three." She huffed heavily as she rolled over onto her hands and knees to get up onto her feet again. "That is the shield kick... Patent pending." She continued to huff as she walked over to where her shield lay, and picked it up gingerly. She dusted it off before putting it back on her arm, and rotating her shoulder awkwardly. "So, I win?"

  5. Red looked around as more people from her guild arrived to join in the quest. It seemed like everyone was here, though she knew that to be an exaggeration. The question was, How big was this quest now that so many people had arrived? Would she be ok in this fight? She ahd to assume Yes as her guild would never allow her to come to harm. She had fought and worked too hard with them to simply be left to die. Odds were they probably would rely on her to help them, just as much as she would rely on them.

Lawfer like always was in good form, with his intentions to flirt with the women of the group. And as expected Mack had stepped up to the challenge. This meant that the quest would be full of innuendo and gratuitous flirting. This was not a bad thing as it would add a light hearted nature to what might otherwise be a terrifying adventure. "Regardless of whats ahead I'm ready. So lets do this."

    Battle: 1

Red Staggered a little as she released from the massive arms of Mack. Perhaps there was something about these massive hugs, as now she felt dizzy and winded. Was that even possible in SAO? Regardless, she stumbled about for a moment. This didn't last long as the sound of Shirosu's rapidly approaching footsteps alerted her to another attack. Just like in a real fight, there was no time to catch ones breath. Red slammed down her leg, and braced her shield into her stomach, using it as a support of sorts. She knew there was no time to turn, without leaving herself vulnerable, so for now she would settle on not being knocked down.

A moment later she felt the girls hands connect with her back. Luckily though with herself braced the way she was, not only did she not move, but she did not lose a point of health. She had stood her ground and deflected the attack using her own strength. She felt a sudden burst of pride as she stood still unbeaten against her two opponents, and in that misguided moment she decided to strike.

Red lashed out quickly at Shirosu with a Focused Strike But in her hurry she had not managed to orient herself properly. Her strike went far wide, leaving anyone to wonder just what it was she was attacking. "..." she cursed loudly, before correcting her stance and preparing for the next hug that would be coming her way.

((OOC: "..." For that, fil it in with the four worst words you can think of. They don't have to make sense))

  7. Today had been a lazy day for Red. She had not had anyone to visit or see as most were out preparing for the Boss raid. Even Takao had had some plans in preparation, and she would have felt bad disturbing them. It seemed that until this raid was over very few people would be free to just mess around. With that in mind she had retired to a rather drab spot on floor 6 to sit and watch the sky. The spot in particular had been a large rock to which she had once had a picnic, as well as met an unfortunate evening at the bite of nasty little lizard. Nearby, maybe 50 or 60 yards away, the hooded form of the Gemini walked aimlessly around, trying to find another victim to challenge. She had many times sat here warning players of the risks at hand, but few had listened to a little girl like her. And so she had sadly sat by and watched many players get beaten. Today though no one came by so the day was quite.

After about an hour or so a message appeared in her inbox, and she quickly popped it open, after seeing it was from Lawfer. He had been one of her guild members, and they had quested before, facing off against the mighty avalanche. With the help of Ariel they had dispatched the beast before anyone had gotten frostbite. Today though he had proposed some treasure hunting on floor 4. The Idea of course was great, and considering that Red had nothing else to do she lept to her feet. Nearby a familiar yellow and orange lizard had appeared. Its tiny beaded eyes, watched her for a moment before it assumed the same lazy sleep that it had every other time she had seen it. She hoped one day to tame the little beast but right now she wouldn't have the time. "Right. You watch the fort, and I'll see you in a while." She said happily before bouncing off the rock, back towards the town.

After she arrived in Delilah Village on floor 3 she immediately began searching out her friends. It wasn't long before she spotted Lawfer, and standing with him was Mack, her guild Leader and another girl whom she hadn't met before. Like the last quest she assumed that this girl was either here to escort them, or was here to finish the quest herself as well.

She approached the group eagerly. "Im so glad I caught you in time." She said with a smile coming to a rather abrupt stop in front of them. "So what do we have in store for us today?"

  8. So far the night was proving to be a great success. Even though it had only been a short stint in the evening, she had already addressed Zel, before things became too crowded. She had also managed to secure a date for the remainder of the event. She blushed again looking up at Takao, as it crossed her mind that he was  date of sorts for her. She carefully ate another grape, enjoying its taste and being blown away that something digital tasted so good. At the end of the day, everything here was just bits of Data but they all came together in a miracle of sorts to create this whole experience. She took another sip from her drink and again she felt warm from the inside out. It was a nice feeling, one could even say intoxicating. But in this case the drink itself was not particularly toxic to her status, putting it at a level of less than real world alcohol.

Takao had mentioned now that he'd like to introduce her to some people around here. All in all it was a great idea. Red knew she wanted to meet as many of these front liners as she could, though she was unsure as to how many of them were interested in a low level player like herself. For now though she wanted to enjoy her time. After all she may never get a chance like this again, especially here in Aincrad. She could die at any point and the same could be said for Takao. In fact he had a boss raid coming up if he was participating. It had become all the buzz on the lower floors. The 11 floor boss was going to be fought by the advanced clearing party. Even a few older players had returned for the occasion.

Suddenly she choked, coughing gently while covering her mouth, before taking another quick sip of her drink. "Takao, Your on the boss clearing party aren't you?" She asked looking up at his eyes with concern. Suddenly she was worried about him. If bigger players needed to return to the front lines, then this one had to be dangerous. After a second she smiled hiding her fear and giving a small laugh. "No Im sure you will do amazing." As she spoke she reached out, placing her hand on his, before pulling it away with another blush.

As the pair sat in conversation the Tempo to the music seemed to change, slowing down a bit. It was still happy and up beat music, but it allowed some of the other couples to get a little closer while they were on the floor. "Hey, would you dance with me?" She asked with a shy smile. Her ex had never danced with her, even at functions or events. He had always been so eager to leave or mess around with his friends that she often ended up alone.

  9. Red was caught off guard by the sudden grasping hand pulling her up by the scruff of her armor. The sudden change in momentum was probably a bigger shock than the hit she was expecting. She closed her eyes in anticipation, but when no strike occurred she carefully opened them to find Mack had his hand just in front of her face, before gently bopping her on the nose. Before Red could say or do anything he pulled her into an impressive strong armed hug, and slowly increased the pressure until a single point of health ticked free. He released her now, taunting that her thorns had tickled him. She had wanted to say something, but knew there was still someone else here, another fighter who was fast and accurate. She would prepare for the attack and make her words clear in her retaliation.

In a flash Shirosu broke free, and in almost the same moment she found the floor as well, tripping over a large out of place root. It had been oddly stretched out, but still seemed to render a purpose. Now though was her chance to strike. Land three blows, tha'ts what Mack had told her to do. Just three. If there were a third opponent this would have been easier, but alas there were only two. With Shiroau, still recovering Red took a few steps back before jumping forward at the pair, swinging her spear in a massive Arch. She was doing a Haymaker. A wide Radius AOE attack, that would be beneficial in landing two solid hits.

    ID# 33214 results:
    Battle: 7

Her spear, though basic in nature, lit up magnificently as she swung in with her attack. It had been so fast that she could hear the blade cutting the air befor she heard the thud of it impacting first with Mack, and then with Shirosu. As she came to the end of her swing she stepped back again raising her shield knowing full well that the pair would probably not hold back now. "Thats two." She said triumphantly as she peeked out from behind the shield.

  10. It was a dual of sorts. A two on one match that put her at the disadvantage. She would be up against two battle hardened players and needed to land three hits. She had her spear, and shield, and they were bare handed. She was unsure what to make of this scenario. "If your sure." She said taking a step back and pointing her spear at the pair. It almost seemed like a death sentence, after all she had killed the Gemini in one hit. "Alright. I wont hold back then." She said bending her knees as she pulled her arm back waiting for the system to catch.

She pulled back a little further and felt the click. A wicked smile crossed her lips as she launched her attack, allowing the system to carry her forward. She streaked towards the pair with a Focused Strike Primarily directed at Mack. He was larger than Shirosu, not to mention he was her new guild leader. She hoped he might Respect her choosing to strike him first. As she neared she realized a critical error in her attack, that she was off target by a few inches. AS she sailed past him she tried to spin, raising her shield to try and protect her from any retaliation.

  11. ((OOC: Sorry guys I didn't get a notification for this for some reason.))

As the boar exploded Red relaxed her stance a bit to look between her guild members. Shirosu had wanted to know if Mack had another test in mind for her. This of course caused her mind to wander a bit as she wondered what kind of test could be in store. Everything suggested a duel, as that seemed to have been Shirosu's test. If that was the case who would she fight? In the end it didn't matter. She had something to prove, so even if her opponent was a 50 foot tall monster she would deal with it as best as she could. "I'm ready for anything." She said smacking her spear against her shield in a show of confidence and strength.

  12. Red held her shield raised in case the Golem managed to regain its composure from her brutal attack on its legs. Luckily no suck opportunity presented itself as Ariel moved in quickly to deliver a devastating strike that left it near death. A smile crept across her lips as she watch the red wound appear on it, and its health drain away. Moments later Lawfer was back in for another strike. She knew that he would switch her out as soon as he struck, so she prepared herself to move again. This time she pointer her spear, preparing the only sword skill she would have ready. A focused strike. It would be weak, but it was something, and it would allow her to stay close to the action. She held her breath now as she tried to hold her hand steady feeling the system click that meant it was taking over.

Then in a brilliant flash Avalanche disintegrated into a thousand blue shard. Lawfer had managed the kill strike. She smiled abandoning the attack and forcing herself out of the system controlled motions she had been ready to submit herself to. After everything subsided Red straightened herself up and approached Lawfer, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Good Job. I wish I could have done more, but that comes with time."

The idea of going to warm up was certainly welcome as she was suddenly made aware of the cold that struck her body again. During the fight her clock had opened exposing her to the elements, and she had been too caught up in things to notice. "I'd be ok with getting out of here. If everyone else is ok with it." She said while pulling her cloak tight again and looking to Ariel. "What do you say?"

((OOC: Looks like we are done here?))

  13. Red couldn't help but smile as the pair walked arm in arm towards one of the many tables where food had been setup. She looked up at him as the approached the first table, and she could see the redness in his cheeks. He was blushing up a storm and had a smile that mirrored her own. It was cute to say the least, and it suggested he may not be used to such circumstances with women. If anything it all added to his charm. "It's ok, I don't bite." She said while giving his arm a reassuring squeeze. "Just relax, you are doing great and you look great." She giggled. Luckily she was able to keep stride with him, despite her smaller stature, but it was at the cost of nearly twice as many steps. She was used to this though as she often had to walk along side taller people in the real world.

Before long they were at the table, and Red wasted no time in grabbing a small plate for both her and Takao. The act of releasing his arm strangely left her feeling a little more exposed, but that was ok for now. "Everything looks so good. I bet Zel spent a fortune on this." She said in amazement while handing Takao a plate. Not far off a dispute had broken out. Red had not seen much happen, but the raised voices were a dead give away. She was able to see her guild master, approaching the group, and for a moment she was tempted to rush to his side. That is what Guild members did right? The question was would she be able to help, or did he have it all in hand. After a few tense moments Mack had retreated from the affair, and Red felt a little more relaxed. At least this meant for sure that she was not needed in this. "What do you think that was about?" She asked while returning her attention to the many wonderful little treats.

Red helped herself to mainly an assortment of fruits. Grapes, strawberries, and a few others, as well as a tiny sliver of what appeared to be carrot cake with icing. Her smile widened as she looked over her chosen treats, since coming here she had not eaten like this once, and in all honesty she was looking forward to it. She also grabbed one of the flutes of what she assumed to be champagne, before heading off to a table. She knew better than to challenge Takao to a race, as he would pass her in a heart beat again. Not that she had minded giving him a kiss last time for it. She took a quick sip of her drink, and immediately noticed the effects take over. As with most food and drink items there were usually some sort of status effect that happened instantly with it. In this case she felt warm on the inside, warm and happy. "Im really glad yer hear." She said still smiling while popping one of the grapes in her mouth.

  14. Red had been put out by her last miss. It had been for the silliest of reasons too. Who bails on an attack to avoid getting stepped on? There was no guarantee that that would have even happened. For all she knew if she had followed through with her strike she might have sent it off balance preventing anything from happening. She had faltered and someone could have gotten hurt, and that was something she wouldn't do again.

As the massive creature emerged from the storm Red was caught entirely off guard. it was bigger than she expected, much bigger. She took an uneasy step back, before regaining her resolve. Lawfer had already engaged it, and he was counting on her to be behind him in this. She raised her shield watching now as he struck with surprising accuracy against the giant creature. His attack Hellish Twice was really something to behold. After he had landed his blow he called out to her signaling her turn to strike.

"Right." Red called back as she ran at the Avalanche. It was already partially distracted by Lawfer, and had turned its side to her. She had already resolved to attack it's legs the same way she had with the last Golem. As she neared it she was able to get an impression as to how big this thing truly was, even standing straight up she could walk right under it. Each one of its colossal legs was like a mountain unto itself as every step seemed to shake the earth. delicately Red dodged in and out of its legs looking for the right opportunity to attack. "Maiming Blow" She yelled out as her opportunity arose. Her spear lit up a bright red, before it was plunged into each of the creatures knees, forcing it to collapse forward. Red had just barely enough time to roll clear of its girth, before yelling at Ariel to go for it.

  15. Red's eyes widened as Jevi removed the gauntlet from the display case and brought it over. When she had been asked to gather the item she had had no idea what it would look like, but seeing it now was amazing. As the item was brought closer she pulled open her appraisal skill to see the stats of the item. Sure enough it matched her needs perfectly. It was glorious in its own right. The single gauntlet alone offered 6 points of regeneration, Which in an item was almost unheard of. She had also been told that there was an entire set, and each piece did the same thing. Regardless this was an item that she needed to get. "I'll take it." She said quickly pulling up her inventory. "18 materials for this, and yer discretion." She said as she transferred the many items to Jevi, before accepting the gauntlet.

She took a moment admiring the item, turning it around in the dim light. Once satisfied she pulled open her menu, and sent the Item to the player in question, and smiled at the shop keeper. "I hope we can continue doing business in the future." She said before promptly leaving the store. There was still much to do and a few more items to find.

  16. Red entered the forge with her mind set. She had been asked by a friend to track down a very special Item. A heavy armor Gauntlet that would grant the user incredible regenerative properties. he had been to several shops today, and so far no one had what she was looking for. It seemed more and more that this item would go unfound for the time being. Amorous Armors and Armaments was the last shop of the day, and from what Red had heard, the Smith working here was of a lower level. This of course gave her reservations about whether or not she would find it here or not. She sighed before smiling and approaching the counter. "Good evening miss." She started as she placed a neatly folded paper on the counter. "Would you happen to have this item in stock?"

    Sanguine Gauntlet

She continued smiling as she expected a no to her question and subsequently an end to her day. "I'll pay generously if you do."

The swarm had now grown to 17 strong, with 4 of those being destructive Wasp Knights. Red knew missing again would mean she would have to flee, as the numbers would be out of her reach for healing. Everything had come down to this really, a final assault, and her own reflexes. Would she be fast enough? only time would tell. The blonde tank held her ground, waiting patiently as she had many times before. The numbers didn't matter in regards to the strike, in the end all that mattered was her timing, she needed perfection. Up above the drone had become overpowering, and she was certain that anyone on this floor could hear it now.

Like last time there was little warning before the wasps began their attack run. Red had stepped into the hole now, waiting, and luckily she had managed to catch sight of the first one to dive. It had been a Knight and in a single moment had abandoned its circle to strike out. The others all followed it, like a massive buzzing wave diving simultaneously at her. Red responded quick, rolling out of the hole and hiding behind her shield as the wasps pelted the earth again. This time though things were different, maybe the hole was deep enough, maybe the swarm had become confused, or maybe it was all just luck but her next strike was true as the day is long.

"HAYMAKER" She screamed putting every bit of energy she could muster into her attack. Her spear lit up like a glorious red beam, as she swung it around. The vibrations of her strike hitting the skulls of each wasp was almost too much for her, nearly causing her to drop the weapon. The resulting blinding blue flash from all the Wasps simultaneous deaths was too much and she fell to her knees covering her eyes. But when it was over she couldn't help but let out a laugh as she received a notification stating she had acquired 17 materials from the insects. She would not have time to enjoy her moment of excitement however as she knew that more would come. So without another thought she fled her hunting spot, ready to trade her new materials into something good.

  18. So... Who wants their minds blown?

    Ready?

Dual Wielding is not some unique or rare skill.

Yeah, you heard me, It turns out other players had it, one of which actually fought Kirito with two one handed axes. I was watching the abridged series and I came across this fantastic little... Well I don't know what it is.

As Evidence I direct you all to this scene

    SAO Abridged Episode 4

If you will get to the scene at 1:27 you can clearly see 2, 1 handed axes in the corner. Of course that could be two players. Then Both axes light up with their sword skill, turning pink. Still, we haven't seen 1 player holding both yet. Then, in one glorious moment you see all the members of Rosario's gang attacking Kirito, and sure enough, 1 player is carrying and striking with both axes, not once, but twice.

I confirmed this in the actual anime as well.

In a flurry of wings the world was transformed into Armageddon. In a coordinated strike, each and every wasp circled in and attacked at once from all directions. The resulting crater from the wasps attack was now getting deeper and deeper, as they continued to pelt the earth. She was making sure to continue leading them to the same spot, the idea being that eventually they would remain within level of her retaliation and she could kill them all. As she rolled to the side she let out another Attack. "Haymaker" she yelled out again, still hitting nothing but air despite the overwhelming numbers.

She let out another loud string of cussing that would have been heard for miles if not for the deafening drone of all those wings hitting the air. She even feared now what would be waiting for her, having not made it this far into the horde last time. Luckily only four more joined. Once again two knights, and two normal wasps. She needed this to end now.

There was so much buzzing now that Red thought her head was going to burst. Nine of the angry insects circled over her head now, and each one wanted a piece of her. This is the kind of fight that Nikki_Styx would have talked about, where an entire army of enemies descended on her and she walked away unscathed. Red looked forward to being able to tell that story, assuming she survived. All she had to do now was pay attention, ignore the distractions, and destroy these creatures. She was lucky to have the right type of attack to do so, she just needed to land it.

Again the Wasps circled for a moment, and again they all flew in at her, pelting the soft earth where she would have been. She had been lucky again, and rolled neatly out of the way as each one collided and flew off. It was such an inefficient attack one on one, but she could see now, how in these numbers, one could be quickly over whelmed. There was already so much buzzing that she hadn't even noticed the Arrival of the next set of wasps, two normal ones and two Knights with long stingers. One could say she had a variable swarm on her hands.

  21. Red let out a frustrated string of obscenities as she prepared for the next and much larger assault. These creatures were going to be a serious problem if they all attacked at once. She watched them a moment, preparing herself, finding it difficult to watch them all at once. She knew how dangerous this was getting now, and while a part of her wanted to retreat she knew she couldn't, not now, not yet. "C'mon you guys, lets see what you got."

Red continued watching the wasps as they circled around, and in a flash all 6 let loose in a single glorious attack. Unfortunately she had been watching the wrong one and was caught off guard giving her barely enough time to raise her shield. Each one bounced off her shield exceptionally hard, sliding her back with each successful hit. Each one felt like a canon blast, and at one point she almost dropped her only means of cover. Once they were done the wasps flew up again out of her reach, joined by three more of their brethren. That meant the next group would be 4 with those damned knights. She let out another frustrated sigh as she kicked the dirt angrily. Her toe managed to catch on something hard and she looked down to see a single piece of Iron ore sticking out. Carefully she leaned down, keeping her eyes to the sky, and collected the ore.
