A rustling nearby caught his attention, and he peered speculatively into the heavy vegetation. He was on the very outskirts of the village, so local wildlife, aka monsters, shouldn't be an issue. That likely meant another player was nosing about. That shouldn't really be a cause for concern, but things in SAO hadn't gone down quite the way Kayaba Akahiko had planned. Saix supposed that showed how 'smart' the supposed genius really was. Kayaba had not taken into account the average hormone driven MMO player's need for PVP, and shortly after being trapped in this digital prison the player killing had begun. Now the so called 'red' players were a constant threat. Ensuring his sword was ready to be drawn, Saix waited for the approaching disturbance to come into view.

This must be what it was like way back in the day, when people were still exploring new places, encountering native life, and killing it for loot... Yeah, now that he thought about it, all this MMO stuff really seemed to explain how history really worked. Of course, teachers probably wouldn't be thrilled to realize that if they really wanted the little bastards to pay attention in class all they needed to do was switch up the lingo, maybe drop a game reference every now and again. Oh well, the continuing decline of the education system wasn't really all that important in this world.

Well, Amazon was certainly more boring than the name might have suggested. Where were the powerful warrior women? So far, Floor 6 was looking pretty boring. But then again, so had Floor 5, and even if there were no powerful warrior women in this horribly misnamed village; it was still better than hot sun, swirling sand, and oh yeah lot's of sand. Dressed in his layered red coat with his polished rapier on his hip, Saix took a moment to settle down on the outskirts of the ruins that made up the village, seating himself on a fallen tree and listening to the sounds of the rain forest as he sipped absentmindedly from his water skin.

Vandal snarled at his health, less then pleased at how low it was. Taking only a moment, he reached into his belt pouch and retrieved one of the stupid health potions he had bought. He had almost died taking on the Berserker, he had no intention of dying now. Chugging down the bitter potion, he let his health refill partially, before deciding that he was ready for action. Grinning a big nasty grin, Vandal got himself a good grip on his sword and charged in, his heavy armor jingling as he approached the boss, shoving his way through the crowd that had surrounded it, and striking hard with a powerful double handed chop. His big heavy sword could split iron on a good swing, and it tore into the plant like flesh with little resistance, the HP Recovering Enhancement working with the potion to instantly put him back at full health. He may have been the lowest level one here, but he was far from being in danger.

Thus far the Guardian had been distracted by the incomparable tank for the last few turns, engaged in a rather epic slugfest between the two. However, this time, Seldentar's hard hitting blow had managed to overwhelm Nikki's accumulated hate, and with a wicked hiss, the giant plant woman turned on Seldentar bringing the huge axe around over her shoulder, before thrashing the swordsman with all her might.
Battle Dice: 8
Damage: 1 + 3 = 4 - 1 = 3
Result: The mighty slash slammed into Seldentar with terrific force, his leather armor skill mitigating a fraction of the damage.

Saix Edit: No, give Seldentar time to post his reaction to the attack. He is allowed to use whatever defensive skills he has, such as sprint/evasion or whatever. Also, the boss has lost her -2 BD, so a normal 6 will hit her.
Saix Edit 2: I know you want to attack, but I said give him a few hours since he is at work. Bad, bad impatience. Don't make me get the squirt bottle.

Alright guys, I talked with Erron about a special event to commemorate our successful Beta of The Gun Gale Online Section of the forum. As a special event for this week we are hosting a give away for the Gun Gale Online canon names; Death Gun and Sterben. Some of you may recognize those names from the Light Novel, but I won't go into details as I don't want to spoil the show.
Now, in order to win one of these names you must have a Facebook account. You will need to go to the linked post below, make a reply to the status with your intent to enter the contest, and then wait until Sunday for the Canon name giveaway. At that time, Erron will announce our weekly canon winner, as well as the winner of Death Gun and Sterben for use in our Gun Gale Online section of the Forum.
Here is the link

For those of you who don't have a Facebook account, make one quickly and enter, it doesn't take that long.

For future reference, single picture replies with no feed back, or words of any kind really, will be treated as spam and immediately deleted. This section is for providing suggestions, and giving constructive criticism/feedback in return, not just posting an image.
This is a better example, above you see plenty of pictures or gifs, but they accompany thoughts on how to approve the idea.
Do NOT let me see spam posts in here again, or I shall become a very angry tiny giraffe.

On killing a monster with a loot drop of 19-20, you may acquire an Uncommon Item. You may pick what type of item, as well as it's stats, and post it in the Crafting Approval thread to be approved.

And people wondered why crafters complained that the system felt a little too grindy, what do you know, another basic quality item. Fan freakin tastic... Oh well, he'd salvage them for materials later.
Craft Attempt 5/5
Craft die: 7 + 1 = 8
Good Item!

This was getting a little old. He had really done good work on that one craft, but so far a failure and 2 beginner quality items were not exactly the kind of stuff he could use to build a decent showpiece.
Craft Attempt 4/5
Craft die: 6 +1 = 7
Good Item!
-1 mat

Hmmm, another crafting attempt and another basic quality item. He'd have to salvage it for materials later, or maybe find some newbie who needed a different weapon to try out a new skill.
Craft Attempt 3/5
Craft die: 5 +1 = 6
Good Item!
-1 mat

Something just felt right about this craft, he could feel it in the hammer. Striking the metal a mighty 10th time, the item glowed before him, showing a completed craft. A moment later, the item appeared, gleaming in all it's perfect glory.
Craft Attempt 2/5
Craft die: 11+1 = 12
Perfect Item!
-1 mat
Item: Darykfyre
Quality: Perfect
Description: This intimidating battle axe is forged of a dull pitch black metal, with streaks of red shot through the patterns on the steel. With twin jagged blades, it looks like the type of weapon that can rip your face off.
Ability: +3 Damage
