He didn't react to Audacity at first, maybe he was ignoring the fact someone was there, or was he that far lost to his own world? Though his one eye opened half way after hearing her question. “Sure by all means.” Kei blinked a few times, before pushing himself forward. “Not like I have claimed this bench for myself.” A small smile following his words. “Out running on the first floor?” He asked.

His eyes shifting but to her a moment, as he leaned forward allowing his elbows to find a resting place on his knees. He found that hard to believe himself, though at this point anything was possible. For many being trapped in here, it has became a way of life. He quickly pushed the thought from his mind, as he did not want to be rude and lose himself in thought once more. “I'm Keiragi, though most call myself Kei.” A slight nod followed his words.

Keiargi, let out a deep breath as he stepped away from the teleporter. “Well this is second floor.. So that means the one quest is around here somewhere.” He casted a quick glance around the town with a frown. “Hmm.. I hope someone here can at least point me that direction.” Kei stepped further away from the teleport location, going to investigate the town further. Though after about an hour walking around aimlessly, he had no luck find the quest within the town.. “Where is this quest.. something so easy should be found easily..” At least he thought. “Well then I can hope someone comes by that could at least help me, locate it.” He sighed heavily, dropping back onto a nearby bench. “Or I can go back to the first floor and try my luck there..” He shrugged to himself, flicking his menu open once more to look through it to see if there was any information that may or may not be held within. Though to his dismay there was nothing there, only the same information that was there an hour before and an hour before that, this drew yet one more heavy sigh from the man.

I will be taking this one on.

A thoughtful hum came forth as the question was asked. Kei’s head shook slightly. “Nothing more at the moment, you have been a rather large help to myself.” His shoulders lifted in a slight shurg. “I'm sure as time goes on, more questions will come. But for now I think I have enough of an understanding to make it a few floors.” His hand moved to his chin, running along it. “I'll make sure to stop and do those quest before moving on at some point as well.” His hand dropped from his chin extending outwards toward Coddexx. “Thank you again for everything, you have given me some good information, that will make things a little easier to get around for a bit.” A small head bow followed his words. “Though I hate to hog any more of your time, I know you came to the lower floor to to get yourself supplies. So I'll let you get back to it. I'm sure I'll be fine from here, for at least a little while.” Another nod followed his words.

Kei had not one clue that where two others, that came out of the gate after he did. Though not like he had the skill at this point to detect them anyways. His gaze fixed on the boars ahead of himself. At the same time his hand moved to quickly draw his sword from its resting place, moving closer to the nearest boar, his sword quickly lashed out in an arcing slice.

But yet again these boars proving more cunning than he is as his attack totally whiffed past the boar, as it meandered past him. An annoyed growl  followed the miss. “Come on! It can not be that hard to hit this thing.” Yup the not hitting it really got under his skin.. Like these were like rats in other games, why couldn't he hit them. Was he really that bad?

Keiragi leaned against the wall near the entrance, for the Town Of Beginnings. “Well if I take that before that one..” He muttered to himself, as he pulled mental images of the skill screen. “Eh.. That should work well enough.” Kei’s gaze lifted upwards, still thinking of the best path to take. Though the bright noon sun was already hanging high in the sky. “Might as well get moving. Time is not slowing down any.” He pushed himself from the wall. Moving slowly at first, though his steps soon evened out into a moderate walking pace, driving him forward to cross into the open field. It made him pause, giving it a look over with amazement. 'Wow the game was beautiful' crossing his mind.. But he shook the thought quickly from his head, he was not here to sight see but to, make it out of this game alive.. Well at least off this floor for the more immediate concern.  

 

His hand lowered as he looked over the field once more. “Mm true. I think I putting both of our lives on the line once, is more than enough for one day.” Kei turned with a shake of his head, following Coddexx back to the starter town. “Oh there are a million and one questions running through my head. But we can start with an easy one. Are there any quests worth picking up on this floor? For any gear or good rewards?” His brow arching inquisitively as the town came into sight. “Oh and I'm sure there is some form of crafting in the game correct?” He had way more questions he wanted answer, but he also knew he shouldn't overwhelm the man.  But He couldn't helps to ask one more question, as it came to mind. “Well seeing how you only have went up one floor, how hard was the area before floor two?”

Kei listened and watched the explanation of how sword arts work. Giving a nod he turned his attention back to his menu screen, performing a few quick motions of his hand. Finally he stopped on the screen showing his sword skill and the unlocked sword arts thus far. “Well according to my screen I should be able to perform at least one of two different ones, before having to rest for energy.” With a soft hum in thought he looked a little further through the list, before moving back to the top to double check, if there were only two arts he could perform. ‘Slant and Vertical’ he repeated several times to himself, mentally. “Well only way to know if these work if I try them..” Kei finally perked up after being lost to his own devices. He took a few steps away from Coddexx to make sure not to hit him, he rather liked going back into town at the moment. His hand lifted upwards, moving behind his back to draw his sword from its resting place. He let out a long breath, trying ro relax himself, as the sword came to rest at his side.

After a few more moments of focusing himself, his right foot slid backwards, at the same time he brought the blade up allowing it to rest horizontal with his body, Kei’s other hand moved outwards stopping about midway on the length of the blade. Not long after he took his stance, his blade started to glow a reddish color. The moment the blade was glowing the brightest, it finally clicked with him. Kei stance shifted as he brought the sword upwards, then back down quickly at a diagonal slice, a faint red trail followed the attack. After it was all said and done, he blinked a few times, before standing straight, allowing his hand to move behind him once more, slipping his sword back into its resting spot. “Well if it was that easy I would have used it before.” His hand moved to rub the back his head, with a slight chuckle

He nodded slightly, allowing his gaze to scroll along the field for a moment. “Mm.. I suppose they do someone as low as myself.” Keiragi’s hand lifted to run along his chin slightly in thought. “The I take it they have these lower floor set up to be group with someone for a bit.” He muttered out loud in idle thought. “Or was I just that unlucky?” He added at the end as he spoke in thought out loud. “Oh Judging by the look of the gear I figured you were from higher floors than just one floor above this.” He paused a moment, looking towards the weapon on the man’s back, having another question come to mind. “Any tips for triggering sword arts? Assuming that is what you did to clear the boars.” He had a thousand and one questions running through his mind at the moment, but he would not overwhelm someone he had just met.  His hand from from his chin, opening the menu screen. “I also assume there are a few quests around that I could handle?” As he spoke, he scrolled downwards towards the map tapping on it.

Keiragi watched the man dispatch the two boars, before making his way over towards himself. He eyed the man a moment holding back the sneering expression, not so much at the man but being angry with himself. “Thanks..” His hand lifted to meet Coddexx’s hand in a firm shake. “Keiragi, though most call me Kei.” His other hand moving to slip his sword, back to its resting place on his back. “I took care of one easily.. but when you came up, that one was giving myself trouble.” His shoulders lifted in a shrug. “Just the luck of the draw I guess.” He wouldn’t admit it but he was more thankful for the save, then he let on. “So why are you down on the lowest floor? Someone with your level seems like they should be on a higher floor.” His arms moving to fold across his chest loosely.

He cursed under his breath, wanting to jump back in and help the person. But he couldn’t.. If he threw away his life away that easy, the what good was it to leave the starting town. So there was only one thing he could do is wait and let the more experienced person finish something he couldn’t. Though Kei was hating himself at this point that it was almost better he did not get back into the fight, his buttons were pressed in all the wrong ways, though not like he could do anything about it as this point. If he was not so naive to think he could have handled this starting out on his own, he wouldn't be in this spot... 

His eyes watched the movements of the two boars closer, seeing how he was at the distance. His he waved the sword around idly at his side, wanting to get back into the fight but he wanted to wait for the right moment.. and well he had to face it he was still learning things with this game.. despite his life and others being on the line at one mistake. “I need to learn to fight these things..” He muttered to himself, as he grew more and more irritated at himself and the situation. He has lead raid guild against far harder foes.. he would not let this stop him. "When you have an opening move.. one of these two are mine.." he shouted towards the other man.. yup there was his determination showing..

Kei took a few steps backwards before looking towards the direction of the voice. “Thanks..” He muttered as he back away from the fight. His hand clenched tighter around the sword hilt as he was disappointed in himself to be save by another so soon, maybe he wasn’t ready to do this as much as he thought. His gaze fell to the side a moment, before looking back to the other now fighting both boars at once more. If anything he would get a lesson in combat system in the game and maybe not risk his life.

“GAH!” He shouted as he went rolling backwards away from the boar and its blow. Looking upwards from his back, he narrowed his eyes at the boar. ‘Really.. is this how i’m to end.” His head shook slightly knocking that thought from his head, as he got to his feet shakily. After another moment he moved towards the boar once more, bring his sword in a downwards strike towards the boar once more. But this time the boar the boar parried the blow from the sword. Kei watched as the sword was deflected away, leaving him open for the boars next strike, having a look of worry streak across his face.

The Boar’s head shook as it finally came to, with a howl. The boar turned quickly on its feet charging for player once more. Though this time it was able to land its hit sending Keiragi backwards in a roll from the blow. With a howl of victory it reared its head up, as it scraped his hovels along the ground preparing itself, for yet another attack on the player. The creatures knowing it had the player on the ropes showing him who was the boss out here!

Kei blinked a few times watching the boar charge past him, he slowly turned eyeing the creature with a puzzled look. “Well..” He slowly walked over to boar, bright his sword across in a quickly slice to try and strike it. Though to his dismay the boar staggered out of the way of his slice. “Of all the..” he stopped himself as the boar staggered slightly more before finally stopping. “It would be my luck..my attack would miss and it is still staggered. He brought his sword up once more, readying himself for the boars next attack. One of the two of them should hit sooner or later..

The boar howled at the player, as it dragged its hooves across the ground looking like it was getting ready to charge. The creature lowered its head as it pushed off quickly towards Keiargi, wanting to cause him harm. But as fate would have it this boar’s depth perception was rather off as it completely charge past the player smashing its head into a nearby rock. The boar wavered on its feet as it currently must have been seeing stars.

After a few moments had passed Kei pushed himself up to his feet once more. “Lets see if I can do this again.” He spun the sword around in his hand, looking for yet another target. Quickly spotting another boar towards his right. “Alright let's try this once more.” He quickly move towards the new boar, bring his sword in an downward slicing motion towards the boar’s body. But the this boar seemed not to be as dumb as the last, as it moved out of the way of the swing in a meandering type motion. Kei’s gaze quickly shifted towards the direction of the boar seeing it ready to attack himself in kind.

Keiragi eyes slowly opened, focusing intently on the boar. His weight shifted slightly moved towards the Boar, stopping just before striking distance. He slowly took a low stance, bring the sword horizontal with his body. Quickly he took a few steps forward, before bring out a slash in a swiping motion out at the boar’s body. He was taken back for a moment seeing the hit land, it was more of shock than anything, but he quickly centering himself, as he righted his weapon once more.

Though to his amazement the boar cried out, before shattering into a bunch of a small and bright shapes, scattering outwards from where the boar was, as it vanished from sight. Kei’ casted a glance towards the sword, then back towards where the boar stood, then back towards his sword once more. “Well.. that was a little too easy.” Taking a few steps back falling back on his rear, with a sigh. “I think I may rest here a moment then.” He muttered, as he looked upwards towards the sky.

Keiragi made his way slowly across the bridge, walking away from the city towards the field. He paused about mid across, eyeing the opposite side with a set jaw. His right hand slowly closed into a tight fist, remember the events that had happened thus far. He was hesitant to move forward but forced himself, not for his own needs, but for what he needed to do for his friends. After he was across and on the edge of the field, he casted a slight glance over his shoulder with a sigh. “Alright.. time to put things into perspective.” He continued forward until he saw a lone boar standing in the middle of the field. His head tipped looking at the monster for a moment, as his hand moved behind his back drawing his straight sword free its scabbard. Kei spun the sword around himself slicing  at the air a few times, allowing it to come to his side afterwards. His eyes shut allowing a long breath out through his mouth, trying to clear his mind.

The Boar wondered around the area, giving a snort every so often. the creature soon turned around seeing the focusing player in front of it. Giving another snort it moved slowly in Keiragi’s direction, though it seemed more interested in looking for food on the ground then the player at the moment. At some point in its path it stopped once more, looking up towards Keiragi snorting once more. Like the creature was taunting the man, in some boarish ways?

Keiragi sat on a bench along the main pathway out of the city, his attention fully on still studying the information from the various screens. “Mm.. well I think that would be the best rout for now.” He scrolled up through the menus, tapping on the status screen. Another hum in thought escaped his lips, It was quite a apparent that he was fully engrossed to figuring out the most optimal route to take his leveling and through the floors of this game. His right hand scrolled up once more, tapping upon the equipment tab.. “I’m sure there are a few quests along the way to help out with my gear.. I highly doubt they would leave it all up to monster or boss drops at the early levels of the game.” he spoke out loud in thought, before equipping his sword once more.

Once more he flicked through the various screens once more now stopping on the map of this floor, a soft sigh escaped his lips. “Sooner or later.. I’ll need help with this..” He closed the screens out with a sigh, as he leaned back heavily onto the bench. “Yet I can not take the easy way out.. She would have my rear if I did..” His head tilted back looking up the blue sky for a moment before shutting his eyes, with another sigh. “But maybe I can sit here a few more moments.”

Kei was lost in thought as he sat near the back of the tavern, Had it it been days? Weeks? Kei had lost track of time ever since the innocent on the first day in this game..no was not a game, but a death game. Why would he betray his friends.. why would he do that. His head shook slightly having his long bangs fall down over his face. A soft sigh escaped the man’s lips, as he brought the mug up from to his table taking a swig from it. Thankfully a few people passing by were kind enough to get him a drink, but they did not stay, they all ran off to fight in hopes to help clear the game, but the more likely case is they would die as many others already have. His right hand lifted as he swiped downwards in the air, pulling up the menu screen,scrolling down towards his friends list, and tapped on it. Another screen came up showing his friends list. Out of the the three people on it two were off line.. forever. Other was still in this world somewhere, the one person who betrayed his friends. “What does it matter.” He closed out the screens, as he stood up from the table. As he moved past the bar counter he finished off the contents within, quickly making his way towards the door.

 

Why.. that was the question burning in the back Kei’s mind. Why would would his friend do this.. go to these lengths. Had he planned this from the start? Before this became a death game? Or did he meet someone here who would have changed his mind? There were too many questions and not enough answers, for Kei’s liking. But he knew he would never get them sitting in this city any longer, it was about time he got on his feet and did something about, at least Ren, would have wanted that from himself. As he moved down the street, he quickly pulled up the map looking over it as he moved. If he could do a few quests and grind a bit, at each of the cities on this floor he could be strong enough to attempt to move through this floor dungeon to head to floor two. “I’ll find the answer Ren..” he muttered out loud, as he continued down the road to head into the field, it was only a matter of time before his friend came back or sent someone to finish what he started.. if that was his intent.

History

Early years:

Kyoshiro life was never anything spectacular nor was it a horrible life. It was just a normal for a middle class lifestyle. He never really stuck with anyone when he was still a young boy, that was until the first computer entered the household, it was nothing special for its time, but it gave Kyo a taste of the gaming lifestyle when he was still young. With in the coming years, the hobby would leave its mark on his life. All through his younger years and through high school he stayed a hardcore gamer. During the last year and a half at high school he had met Renkei, though meeting this girl did not change much in his life, because she too shared a love for videogames as much as he did. Though soon the time came where we had to leave his home, and head to the University he was accepted into for a technology dagree. But as all young lovers the two of them would make the best of it, and make things work. Both here in the real world and the mmorpg worlds they live their lives in.

 

Leading Up To SAO:

During the second year of his four year degree, was when the announcement came out out a fully immersive VRMMORPG would come out for the Nervegear. He and his friends where extremely excited about it, for the first time virtual reality, may come to forefront of gaming and was not some gimmick piece of hardware you wear on your face, and move your head around and still used a controller. The day of the announcement he had ran out and preordered both the Nervegear and a copy of Sword Art Online, also giving a  helping hand to his girlfriend, brother, and friend. Making sure their preorders were complete, so they could all jump in day one together.

 

With  break coming up and the launch of SAO, Kyo could have not been more of a bundle of excitement, knowing that he and the people he care for were the select few of ten thousand people, to be entering this ground breaking game on day one. On the last day of classes he was clearly unfocused ready to rush home and dive into this game.The last hour of classes came and went, closing out the school year for him and finally home, he called to the others seeing if they were ready to dive into this new game. Though what what did not know, he nor other games would be coming back out of this world once they entered.  

 

Appearance: Keiragi tall stature and average build, is furthest from a sports athlete, but he is still in shape for his age. His build was accented by his long black hair, which fells to the middle of his upper back. His hair is typically either down or pulled in a loose ponytail depending on what he is doing. His hair and build is finished of his this grayish blue hues. Normally he can be found dressed in some sort of long coat, or a open uniform jacket over some dark colored shirt.   

 

Virtues

Quick Thinking- Keiragi’s mind never stop working. He always of thinking,make things easier on himself, or trying to find solutions to problems that may arise. With being such a quick thinker, it has made his life easier then most. Mainly he can always see an out long before most others could, or realize. Yet some of the smaller details in life have always eluded him, such as how to be a better boyfriend.

 

Quick Learning- He has always been a quick learner. His ability to learn things quickly has helped me more times then he can count. It allows him to adapt to most situations, and he can exploit something he has learned or practiced. It was most prominent with him playing mmorpgs being quick to pick up the basics to move on to more advance thing, or being able to work through complex problems that may arise.

Kindhearted-  He has always been seen with a kind heart to anyone he knows and sometimes even he doesn’t know the person. He will go out of the way to lend a helping hand, and never ask anything in return. Though this is most prominent when he is helping his friends or family, he will do anything with in his power and then some, just to make sure they are alright or help them with what ever they may need.

Level Headed- Keiragi almost always keeps a level head. But only if he keeps his his wits about him during tense and stressful situation. He will be almost to be able to come out on top at least in his mind. Though this is not always the case when someone he loves or cares for is in dire trouble, which in case most of his level headed nature, gets pushed to the side as the recklessly charges into help. He must always try to keep this side of himself in check, if not normally the outcomes do not come out in his favor.

Flaws:

Blunt- The way Keiragi speaks at times can come off rather blunt or cold, because his way of thinking and just saying the first logical thing that comes to him. More times than not  this has gotten him trouble, of being up front and blunt in a delicate situations. Though he does mean well with his words or actions, but they are not always perceived that way.

 

Soft-Hearted- Normally most not find this a bad thing in most people, but with Keiragi this has put him danger before. He will go out of his way to help anyone who is in need. He would give someone his shirt off his own back if it helps them, even if it would put him ask risk. This vice has put himself in a hard part quite a few times, it nearly costed him his education and a few of his friends at times.

 

Reckless- Keiragi typically is cool and collected, but when the right buttons are pushed he throws all of his collected self to the side. It would normally happen when someone he loves or cares for is in danger, or is in that in need. His girlfriend has seen this quite a few times, when Keiragi had to deal with her ex boyfriend who was harassing her. This is why he always tries to keep his emotions in check, so he stays level headed.

 

Protector- One of his bigger downfalls, he will protect anyone from anything if he could. Keiragi will watch over anyone he knows if they like it or not. This also put him in the danger zone as well. It has caused fights with others that know him. Yet if someone does know Keiragi and his over protectiveness, they sooner or later know he means well with his protectiveness.

 

Fierce- If one thing can be said about Keiragi to sum him up, it is his fierce emotions and loyalty. His loyalty unwavering and caring to his friends and loved ones, this will and has pushed him to the breaking point. If it passes the point of no return in a situation, and no other options are available to him he will react violently, to make sure that anyone he cares for is safe. Yet this will put him in a spot where his own life will be on the line with theirs. But he would rather see himself hurt, then someone he cares for.
