  1. Bhairyuu chuckled as he watched the young woman who had just then walked up to him, introduced herself and actually sniffed him, something that he would readily admit he had never had done to him before now, either in the real world or in this death game, so seeing such a light-hearted person was a welcome change from all the other more serious grinder players he had encountered so far. So he spoke up after she was done, giving her a quick once over, his eyes lingering for a brief few moments on her breastplate as he studied it after she had drawn his attention to it, his keen jade green eyes now ablaze, glinting with hardly suppressed mirth as he realized he had encountered a truly intriguing person

"Oh I wouldn't worry too much about that, Letty...I personally think you still look pretty in your outfit even with a mismatched breastplate on...but if you're that worried about it...I have this blacksmith friend who can craft you a custom-order breastplate according to your specs that you give him..."

He paused for effect and then continued with a wide smirk on his thin lips

"I am doing quite well, myself, thanks for asking, and yes I am here for this meetup since I was searching for something amusing to do. I too think we would be able to get along quite well in due course and have quite a blast together...you seem to be a rather intriguing and amusing person, in the good way of course, so I am all for it. Here's to our newborn friendship then!"

Saying thus, he extended one of his large, well worn, muscular hands towards in a handshake if she desired to take it and in the meantime, he regarded her with curious eyes, his jade green gaze riveted on hers.

@Letty [OOC: I would have said Letty looks hot even in that outfit, but I figured you'd be really uncomfortable with that kind of talk, so I held off]

  2. Bhairyuu had acquired the custom-order sword he had been wanting for so long and so later that day, after picking up the sword, he was once again wandering the streets of the <<Town of Beginnings>> looking for anything or anyone who could possibly prove amusing to him. After what seemed like hours of fruitless searching for entertainment, Bhairyuu was just about to give up when he came across a message board with a new notification on it, this one being about some meetup one of the players was organizing, and since he found it intriguing, Bhairyuu headed over to the coordinates indicated by the poster. Soon, he came upon an open field where he spotted a group of players gathered and he figured that somewhere among that group would be the poster of the notice he saw just a few minutes ago, so he headed over to them and called out with his hand moving up in a lazy sort of wave

"Hello there! How're you all doing?!"

His baritone but melodious voice cut through the air, drifting over to them while he took his sweet time walking up to them since he did not want to startle or provoke them into thinking him some sort of intruder. As he neared them, he took off his medium sized black colored Chinese hat and put on a polite smile on those thin lips of his since he figured it was the best way to avoid any potential unpleasantness that might arise if he behaved otherwise while looking about with his jade green eyes which now had a keen, piercing expression in them, indicating that his curiosity had been piqued by the group and by the prospect of getting to know more players who could become allies in the near future.

  3. Bhairyuu had commissioned his good friend and trusted ally Khrysaor, one of the <<Blacksmiths>> he knew personally, to craft a custom-order sword some time ago and had left him with the blueprints for the sword which he had christened <<Embodiment of Apophis>>. Since that time, Bhairyuu had been waiting on pins and needles for his buddy Khrysaor to finish making the sword, all the while envisioning all the sweet adventures he could go on once he had that sword in his hand and not end up dead in some dank, dreary ditch somewhere. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he received a PM from Khrys informing him that the sword was finally completed and to hurry over to the shop as soon as possible. So, on that day, after quickly finishing his morning rituals, he headed out to the teleportation gate and announced in a clear voice

    "Teleport! Floor 8!"

With that, in a blinding flash of bluish-white light, Bhairyuu was instantly sent over to Floor 8 and arrived at the corresponding teleport gate in the safe zone of that area, Florenthia Village. He looked around for a bit as he was intrigued by the rather curious way in which the village had been laid out, but did not spend more time checking out the sights. Instead, he followed the directions given to him by his friend Khrys and soon arrived at the stone path leading up to Khrys's shop, which to his surprise was a Japanese-style building. He slid the shoji door open and headed inside after spotting Khrys at the counter, immediately going up to him with a slight smirk on his thin lips, greeting him

"Yo, Khrys! How's it going? I heard you finally finished that custom-order sword I asked you to make and have it ready for me to take with me..."

Bhairyuu paused looking around for the sword on the public display shelves in the shop, but didnt find it there which puzzled him initially tll he realized a custom-order item would not be put on display like the other regular items. So he turned back to Khrys and asked

    "So...where's it, bud?"

  4. Bhairyuu once again found himself wandering the streets of the Town of Beginnings exploring more of the settlement. While on his way to one of the side streets, he noticed a somewhat familiar face, namely Rain, who was supposed to be one of the top players in the Alchemy profession in all of Aincrad. So he decided to head on over and greet him. As he came near, he noticed that Rain had set up a stand and was giving out potions so he decided he would pick some up. So after looking through the merchandise, he spoke

"Hey there, Rain. Good to see you. If you dont mind, I would like to get some of these free potions you have up for grabs. They should come in handy real soon."

After that he pointed out the five potions he was looking for to Rain and awaited confirmation of the trade.

[OOC: Taking 1 each of Greater Elixir, Greater Mitigation Potion 1, Greater Health Potion 1, Minor Health Potion, and Minor Elixir, if you please]

  5. Bhairyuu had gotten the invite about the fall beach fest and so he decided that he would take the day off from his usual explorations and check out the gathering, especially since it was at the beach and also since the invite mentioned lots of free drinks being available. As he was never one to turn down free drink and food, he hurried off to the Teleport Gate after dressing for the occasion, his chosen outfit this time being his black muscle tee covering most of his torso, a knee-length black swim trunks extending from the waist down which had affixed to it his <<Silver Cutlass>> and which was modified to be held up by his utility belt containing his Inventory, his usual black fingerless gloves on both hands, and his black long tabi boots. Finally on his head was his black medium sized Chinese hat with a Egyptian headdress style light cloth extension colored with alternating neon green and black stripes. Upon reaching the Teleport Gate, he announced his destination in his clear voice

    "Teleport! Floor 16!"

Within mere moments, he found himself standing in the main settlement of Floor 16. Not wanting to waste time, Bhairyuu immediately left and cautiously made his way over to the beach and the beach-house both of which were unfamiliar to him since if he were to get caught in a battle while still being such a low level player, it would be a king sized hassle to extricate himself from it. He eventually reached the beach-house and cast his keen, piercing jade green gaze about his surroundings, looking about for any familiar faces while enjoying the breeze that was blowing through his jet-black hair which was, as usual, pulled up into a high spiky pony tail. Soon, he spotted the woman whom he now knew to be Zandra, the same on that had given him some free potions a while back and so, he headed over to her since none of the other players looked all that familiar to him. Upon reaching within earshot, he called out

"Hello, Ms. Zandra! Long time no see!"

  6. Bhairyuu walked along with the group a little ways behind Victor, his new outfit blending in with the darkness of the labyrinth and the material barely audible swishing sound as he walked along, his stride long and his gait limber. As he walked along, the <<Silver Cutlass>> he has equipped beforehand gently clinked against its scabbard letting everyone know of his presence if they so wished to notice him. He looked about and to his great chagrin, the labyrinth seemed endless and he felt like he had been walking for hours on end. As the mist rolled about around him, he swore under his breath

"Kuso!...Can't see a damn thing in this accursed mist...I sure hope nothing jumps out at me while I am busy trying to get my bearings in this labyrinth...now I can truly appreciate Theseus's agony in those old stories of him and the minotaur...too bad I don't have a ball of magic golden yarn like he did...I could sure use one right about now..."

As he was thus bemoaning his present predicament, Bhairyuu tried to keep his normally rich, powerful baritone but melodious voice to the lowest possible decibel level so as to prevent any undue attention being directed at the group because of him and also tried his best not to bump into Victor whom he presumed was the person walking ahead of him.

  7. Bhairyuu had gotten a late start that morning since he was totally wiped from his latest attempt to explore the Town of Beginning some more. Luckily though, he had set his HUD to blare in his ear if there were any new PMs waiting his perusal and that's just what had happened today. The alarm had blared so loudly in fact that he actually fell off the makeshift bed he had made for himself the previous night. Grumbling and groaning from the pain, he checked the PM after getting ready and saw that it was from Cygnus wanting to do the Hoya quest. This brought a small smile to his face as he headed out to the teleport plaza where the group was set to meet for the quest. He had chosen a simpler outfit designed more for keeping him inconspicuous, this outfit being a simple navy blue muscle tee with neon green borders which showed off his well toned body, matching colored trousers which stopped about 7 inches above his ankles. These had several pockets in easy to reach places and were held up by his utility belt. The parts of his legs that were beyond the hem of his trousers were covered by black cloth bandages. The only thing remaining from his old outfit was the footwear, specifically tactical navy blue long tabi boots and of course his navy blue fingerless gloves and his black armbands.

As he neared the teleport plaza and the group that was assembled there, he broke into a short sprint while waving his hand and calling out in as loud a voice as he could so that the group members could hear him

"Hey, guys! Wait up!! I too wish to go on this quest with the lot of you!"

Soon, he had reached the group which he saw to be made of his newest acquaintances with the one in charge being Cygnus. Once he came to the forefront of the group, he took a few moments to catch his breath and then spoke

"Sorry I am late...but I am here now and am ready to join you guys on this Hoya quest. Let me just equip my sword and we can be off."

With that, he opened his inventory and equipped his <<Silver Cutlass>> since it was his new favorite sword...at least until he got the one he commissioned not too long ago. He then nodded to the others and to Cygnus giving them the signal he was ready to go and waited for Cygnus to make the call.

  8. Bhairyuu spoke up after Cygnus announcing his intent to go on the <<Search for the Hoya>> quest with everyone

"Count me in!! It's about time I got into doing quests anyway, so this will be a good experience for me even if I dont get any items out of the deal."

He then paused and spoke to Cygnus since he figured Cygnus would be the quest starter out of the whole group

"Please let me know by PM or something when and where this quest will be going down. Also, let me know what I can do to help."

  9. Bhairyuu received the potions he had asked for from Zandra and thanked her

"Why thank you, Ms. Zandra. These should come in handy for me. My name is Bhairyuu or Ryuu for short if you prefer, by the way. I am sorry I never got to introduce myself to you in that beach party."

Just then he saw Rain come up and try to sell off his free potions as well only to get denied by Zandra and watched him walk away in disappointment. So he called out wondering what sort of potions Rain had

"Yo, Rain! Could I maybe have some of those free potions sometime? I can swing by your shop to get them...if they are still up for grabs I mean..."

  10. A new day had dawned and Bhairyuu had woken up, finished a meager breakfast, gotten ready in his chosen outfit and now he was  strolling about the streets of the Town of Beginnings wondering what part of it he should explore and what he would discover over the course of his exploration today. He was walking along in the shopping district when he saw a makeshift stand which looked like it had potions of different kinds. So he hurried in that direction and when he got within sight range, he noticed his new acquaintances Khyrsaor, Cygnus talking with none other than, Zandra the gorgeous woman he had seen back at the summer beach party of which she herself was the hostess, the sight of the three bringing a slight smirk to his face. He sped up his pace even more and within a few minutes he appeared behind Khrysaor and Cygnus and spoke without any advance warning

"Yo! Long time no see, fellas. So...you guys checking out some potions, eh?"

After that, as he waited to see their reactions, he looked up and saw that his keen eyes did not deceive him after all and that it was indeed Zandra who was the owner of the makeshift potion stand. So he greeted her with the ghost of a smirk playing on his thin lips and with a rather theatrical bow, saying

"Ms. Zandra, fancy meeting you here. It's truly a pleasure to be in your company once again...and it seems that you have some potions you're offering up. I was looking for a couple of damage mitigation potions and maybe even a damage increasing potion...if you've still got some lying around, that is."

[OOC: Taking 2 Damage Mitigation +9 (Uncommon) potions & 1 Damage +1 (Uncommon) potion]

  11. "I can also help out somewhat with the damage dealing in the quest since I have commissioned my custom weapon and depending on the timing of this quest we're talking about doing, I might have myself some custom armor as well."

Bhairyuu spoke up in a somewhat casual tone of voice after Cygnus said his bit and after pausing for effect, he spoke again

"So...do we have a rough idea of when exactly we're doing this quest? Will it be after adjourning this meeting we're have now? Or perhaps later after the Asterios event is over?"

Bhairyuu asked to the group at large and then fell silent as he waited for one or more of his new acquaintances to speak up in reply to clarify his doubts and concerns

  12. As he concluded his examination of the food, Bhairyuu thought to himself

"Hehe, talk about food, food everywhere, but not a person to eat it all....how strange, was the owner expecting some company?...because if that's the case...they sure are missing out by being so late to this veritable banquet...what a shame..."

Thinking thus, Bhairyuu shook his head and sighed in exasperation as he heard his stomach growling louldy, a sure sign that his hunger pangs were slowly but surely becoming well nigh impossible to ignore for much longer and muttered to himself while taking some of the food he saw onto his plate, all the while looking around surreptitously

"Hmm, well then...I doubt they would mind very much if I help myself to some of this all-you-can-eat buffet...if they do, I can probably pay them some Col in compensation when I meet them..."

With that, he began to wolf down the food items one by one since he was so famished from all that exercise he had gotten earlier from exploring the castle so much and dodging those vampire bats.

  13. Bhairyuu watched silently as Khrysaor arose from his spot and went up to Rain and the other man in an attempt to try to help them, but instead contracted the infection as well. However, instead of going to help the lot of them as any other player would, Bhairyuu decided to stay at a distance and savor the entertainment/amusement he was deriving from watching the three men

"Hmm, should I go and try to be the Good Samaritan?...Nah, it's much more fun to watch those guys go crazy...so I will just stay up here and maybe have some of those acorns I gathered earlier...Yeah, let's go with that plan..."

He muttered thus to himself and then created a small fire to roast the acorns and then placed about 20 acorns into the middle of the fire and leaned back on his elbows while he waited for the acorns to pop and become popcorn and continued observing Khrysaor, Rain, and the other man with an amused smirk on his thin lips and the glint of mirth in his eyes. Little did he know that soon, his decision to hang back would actually end up with him in a troublesome situation.

  14. Bhairyuu watched Aster give him a weak smile in response to his teasing and after a little while decided that he had his fill of teasing her and let her focus her attention on Cygnus and her familiar Reginald. He then turned his attention to Khrysaor and the others who were now talking about going on a quest or even exploring a sub-dungeon and spoke up, adding his two cents

"I would love to go for a quest with all of you...unfortunately though, I am not as strong as I ought to be, but that being said...I think I can still help out in one way or another...perhaps with the strategy part if not too much for the actual combat. Going along would greatly benefit me in the way of experience and maybe even Col and some items...if we get lucky..."

He said and then waited to hear the responses of the others in the group which was by now even larger than when he first spotted it and wondered what sort of quest they would be going on.

  15. A new day had come and with it, Bhairyuu had once again set off after breakfast to do the only thing he really felt cool doing at this point considering he was still a low level player in comparison to all the other far stronger ones about, and that activity was the exploration and wandering the streets of the Town of Beginnings. Currently, he had reached the central plaza which had the fountain and he could see a group of players who were, by this time, all too familiar to him and as he got closer, he could discern Khrysaor, Asteria who was the girl with the fox familiar he had the pleasure of helping up off the ground not too long back, and even Cygnus and Emblem in the center of the crowd. So, as he got closer, Bhairyuu greeted Khrysaor

"Hey there Khrys, we meet again for the umpteenth time, I see. You know we should party up sometime to go on a quest or two once I get a tad stronger..."

After that, while he waited for Khrysaor to reply to his suggestion, he gave a quick greeting to Asteria as well wanting to see what sort of a reaction his words would elicit from her

"Hey there! Looks like you're more upright than the last time I saw you. If you ever need a hand to pick yourself, dont hesitate to ask!"

When he was done with that, Bhairyuu looked over to Cygnus and Emblem and spoke several decibels louder so his cheeky query could be heard by the two of them and then waited for the four he had accosted to reply back and wondered if he would get any amusement out of watching their reactions to his comments and question.

"Yo, guys! What's the matter? Not feeling up to going for a swim today?!"

  16. Bhairyuu smiled politely as the ginger haired girl whom he had decided to help up finally seemed to have collected herself enough to take his hand and help herself up and so he spoke in reply which was punctuated with a deep chuckle

"No, mademoiselle...no need to apologize...after all, I was just doing my good turn for today...Are you sure you're okay though?"

He asked for confirmation that she was alright while letting go of her hand and returning it to its position by his side and while waiting for her to reply, he noticed that this little spectacle which drew him had similarly attracted quite the crowd, some ten players if his eyes were not misleading him and his counting skills were working properly. So, as he waited for her answer, he listened to the comments, some facetious and some not so much, and his smile slowly morphed into the ghost of an amused smirk which now played upon his thin lips as he looked back at the ginger haired girl before him and her familiar, the cute little fox apparently named Reginald.

  17. Bhairyuu had also been in the park for several hours before and had been indulging in his most favorite hobbies of painting, reading mystery novels and was currently in the midst of playing against himself while resting under the shade of a large tree when he too heard the sounds of what seemed like someone screaming in either utter panic or abject terror and he swore under his breath

"Kuso!...Can't a guy get even a day of peace and quiet around here?...And who the hell is making all that ruckus?...Damn, my concentration is ruined now and my mood as well so might as well go see what's up..."

With that, he packed up and headed off in the direction of the noise and lo and behold, he saw his new buddy Khrys initiating a conversation with two males, one of whom he recognized as Rain but of the other he knew nothing. So Bhairyuu decided to just hang back for the time being and see what the situation was all about and let Khyrsaor take front and center in his stead.

  18. As Bhairyuu was approaching his marks, he had his senses on alert so he noticed a scene that caused him to let out a short booming laugh, namely the scene of the young woman who had just entered the area while chasing her familiar and who ended up crashing into the other woman who had approached the two males a little earlier than himself. Intrigued by the the girl and her familiar, Bhairyuu greeted them on his way to the two males

"Yo! That looked like it could leave a mark. Are you two ladies, alright?"

He said in his baritone but melodious voice and then looked down at the familiar who was sniffing at the woman whom his master had nearly run over. He studied it curiously for a few minutes as it was a fox, one of his most favorite animals and then held out a hand for the master of the fox familiar to take if she so desired since from what he could see, she was the one who took the brunt of the collision and was on the ground at present.

  19. (OOC: hope you don't mind me posting here. I saw this was an OP thread, so I decided to give it a shot)

Bhairyuu had been wandering here and there in the streets of the main safe zone of Floor 1, a place called Town of Beginnings when he heard a loud splash somewhere near the fountain in his vicinity, the sound being followed by more sounds of someone desperately trying to stay afloat but failing miserably. Once again, his curiosity was aroused, and so he took off in the direction of the noises he had heard and when he got there, he saw what appeared to be a younger male helping out an older one who seemed to have been drenched from head to toe. Deciding to see if he could help the poor sap any, Bhairyuu walked over to them at a brisk pace. As he got near, the lights from the shops fell upon him, revealing his 27 year old form to the two if they chose to study him.

He was 6' 3" in height and looked to weigh 180 lb. He was decently athletic in build and his skin exhibited a sun-kissed tone and roughened texture giving him the appearance of having spent numerous hours outside under the sun over an extended period of time. His upper limbs were of the same length as any other person’s while his legs were a cut above the average in length. His feet were size 9 while the bone density throughout the rest of his body lay on the lighter side of the medium range. However, the density of the bones in his upper and lower limbs was on the heavier side of the medium range giving him the intended appearance of one who had undergone rigorous training in various martial arts.

His two tone hair (jet-black with metallic silver) was shoulder-length and its texture was quite coarse from being constantly dried by the sun’s heat. He had it tied up in a high spiky ponytail, so his bangs were non-existent. His sideburns extended down till 1 inch above the angle of his jaw. His eyes were narrow and his irises were jade green in color while his pupils were like those of a cat. He had rather high cheekbones, a sharp nose, and his teeth were straight with his canines being slightly longer than those of the average person while his jaw was strongly set and tapered off to a point. All of these combined with his gaunt cheeks and high forehead gave him distinctive appearance. This appearance of his was made even more striking because of the various marks that were visible over his skin. One of these marks was a crescent moon shaped birthmark (with both horns of the crescent pointing upwards) on his forehead between his eyebrows. The only other mark that was visible was the one on the right half of his face. This one was a long thin scar which ran vertically from 1 inch above his eyebrow, across both eyelids, till 1 inch just above his cheekbone.  The rest of the marks were hidden by his chosen outfit.

His top was a comfortable navy blue uwagi (traditional Japanese kimono like jacket) which had a high collar, long but loose sleeves, a series of neon green metal fasteners shaped like Djed Pillars running down the right side and which was modified to extend down till 3 inches above his umbilicus. From the waist down, he had on an equally comfortable looking navy blue hakama (traditional Japanese trousers) which had pockets located in strategically advantageous locations for easy access in any situation. These extended down from his waist till 7 inches above his ankle and were held up by his utility belt (shaped like an Ouroboros) which contained his inventory within holders of various sizes.

Underneath the uwagi, he had a jet black muscle tee which went up enclosing his whole neck and ended by covering the lower half of his face, especially his mouth and nose. The little of his forearms that extended beyond the sleeves of the uwagi was covered by black armbands which extended down his forearms from 3 inches below elbow till 3 inches above wrist. On his hands, he had black colored standard finger-less gloves with the dorsum of the gloves being reinforced with small, thin square plates of neon green colored metal plate shaped like a scarab and the knuckle region with strips of the same metal, both bonded to the cloth permanently. The gloves had a roughened patch of leather on the palm side, presumably to increase his grip.

His legs below the hem of the hakama were covered by form fitting black leg-warmers which started 7 inches below his knees and extended downwards to end in a segment which enclosed the middle part of his soles in a sort of sling, leaving his heels and the toes uncovered. His choice of footwear was a pair of black steel toe tabi boots which had small rectangular neon green metal plates shaped like a scarab on the top. The boots extended up to 3 inches above his ankle.

His headgear consisted of a medium sized black colored Chinese hat with which he shielded his eyes from the sun shining in the sky above the Town of Beginnings. This hat had an Egyptian style cloth headdress with alternating black and navy blue stripes as an extension covering the back of his neck. The hat also had a large bright metallic silver colored royal uraeus shaped metal plate on the front just above the rim. The armbands and leg warmers had metallic silver colored Egyptian ankh shaped metal plates on their front surfaces.

As he came within sight and earshot of the two males, Bhairyuu called out, his voice revealed to be of a rich baritone but yet melodious nature

“Hey there, guys. You both alright? Need any help?”

  20. Bhairyuu then turned and walked over to the center of the dining hall where there lay three ornate tables which, upon closer examination, he found to be something akin to Burma teakwood or perhaps even ebony. One of the tables was situated horizontally, or if he was being mathematical about it...along the X-axis while the other two were placed parallel to each other along the Z-axis, leaving a large rectangular space enclosed on three sides by them, this being he stood as he studied the tables. He looked up and down the tables, noting the absolutely lavish spread of food and drink there as well as the accompaniments in props

"Hmm...let's see...flame colored goblets with some sort of liquid in them...and is that butter-beer I see in them?..."

Bhairyuu muttered to himself as he picked up one of the goblets and took a whiff of the aroma from the liquid in it. He then set it down and cast his gaze about the tables, examining the food and muttering to himself again

"Wow...there's what looks like pumpkin pastilles, bouillabaisse, treacle tarts....oh this is just too rich...everything on these tables are food items I know from Potter-verse...man...I don't know if I should call this corny...or if should praise the designer for the degree of detail and work he put into these replicas of the food items from Potter-verse..."

Bhairyuu said to himself as his eyes fell on the last food item there...a massive roasted boar complete with an apple stuffed in its mouth and fried potato pieces arranged around it.

  21. The portions of the wall that flanked this centerpiece on either side were recessed and sported what seemed like an incredibly ornate pair of tapestries which no doubt held the story of the history of this place and of course, of its mysterious owner. After taking all that in, Bhairyuu made a mental note

"Note to self...must give those tapestries a good read one of these days...if the owner would be kind enough to let me do so, of course...Reading through that would go a long way in explaining how this entire thing came to be..."

Then, Bhairyuu let his eyes wander first to the left where he noticed that the portion of the wall there had some sort of stone staircase resting against it and so he walked to that spot and upon reaching there and taking a closer look, he saw that the stone steps he saw were just the initial portion of the entire staircase and that the staircase led upwards, but alas, he could not see any further because of a massive curtain made of some dark colored material hung down, obscuring the path ahead. Letting out a disgruntled sigh, Bhairyuu once again turned his attention to the room and went back to studying it, his curiosity overpowering his hunger for the time being and providing the driving force that let him ignore it, if only for a brief while. Directly opposite him, at the other end of the dining hall was a pair of rooms situated right next to each other. One of them was only partially open while the other seemed to lead to a roughly hewed path which ended in yet another staircase, this one leading down into the bowels of this massive castle. As he walked toward these rooms, Bhairyuu wondered aloud

"Hmm, I wonder what those two will lead me to...either way, I am sure it will something either unbelievably corny/cliché or something really exciting...can't wait to find out..."

  22. "Well well...what have we here?...a dining room?...Hmm, if I am reading that right, it says "Welcome to the Great Hall"...wait...Great Hall...Great Hall, now why does that sound so familiar to me?...Let's see...Oh yeah!! I know...it's from that series of novels written by that one famous female author...J.K. Rowling...if memory serves..."

He paused this train of thought of his and tried to recollect what he could about that female author and her novels, all of which he had read in the recent past and all the movie adaptations of said novels that he had seen on the occasional free day when he was bored out of his gourd by not having much to do. He then muttered to himself again, all the while fully aware of how ridiculous he must look right now to any who chose to observe him

"Hmm, I guess the person on the design team for this VRMMOPRG who created this particular scenery is not only a fan of Skyrim but also of Harry Potter and his creator, J.K. Rowling...not that I blame him or her, I enjoyed those two very much as well...Now...let's see if I can swipe me a free meal..."

Muttering thus, Bhairyuu slowly and cautiously stepped into the very center of the dining hall and set his mind and his eyes to work in observing its architecture and layout. The room seemed to be constructed, at least from what he could see of its detail, of the same black marble as was the rest of the castle. Directly opposite him was one of the walls of the room composed of a center section which slightly jutted out from the rest of the wall and which was carved such that it had what looked like a fireplace and above it was some sort of balcony like part. This part was mostly shrouded from view by two thick curtains made of some dark colored material, so he figured it must be for important guests and such of the owner.

After about 10 minutes, Bhairyuu noticed that the sounds of the bat swarms were getting further and further away from his location and so, he peeked around the door-frame of the tiny room he was hiding in and looked about cautiously, taking stock of where he was and looking out for any more sources of potential trouble. Since he did not detect anything immediately dangerous, Bhairyuu stepped out into what appeared to be a long hallway wondering to himself

"Thank heavens, I thought I was surely going to be driven batty by those...bats...but now that they are gone, I can be on my way...hopefully there won't be any more surprises like that one..."

He then walked along the length of the hallway keeping all his senses on full alert for any potential threats that might come his way and eventually came across a massive chamber. As he peered inside, he saw that it was laid out like a massive dining room, one which was so ornate that  it seemed fit for royalty. To confirm, he looked outside again and noticed that the doors to the dining room were flanked on both sides by two large ornately constructed pillars each of which had a big brass plaque on which were engraved the words [Welcome to the Great Hall], causing him to smile and lick his lips in anticipation of a possible free meal
