  1. "She ain't my familiar yet," Akua sighed, shaking her head. She'd explain that later; however now they had a stupid snake to fight. Noticing the others where dazing, she withdrew her rapier. Jumping foward, Akua scored the fake reptillian's neck, stabbing straight through with a {Linear} attack. After the dying sequence on her sword, Akua nodded. "Good, now that that's gone..."

Looking at the blue felidae, Akua sighed, noticing it no longer there, but many, many meters away. "See, Kyoki? You didn't have to worry," the aqua haired female stated, tapping her rapier on the floor.

  2. { oh and btw -- a familiar is kinda gonna be like an extension to Akua, so I control it c: }

Akua instantly shot back a party invite in response to the younger girl. She remembered her; yet another student of hers. Perhaps Sword Art Online had made Akua too... Giving. Perhaps she was more considerate than usual; or maybe she just wanted to know more people. Whatever her reason, she seemed to be a public source of education.

The cerulean haired she blinked, whipping around towards Kyoki. "It's a ploy Kyoki; the system doesn't attack itself," she warned. "...when a monster isn't yet tamed. It'll regenerate itself. Just worry about pulling out your damn sword and jump back; I'll attack first, then anyone switch with me."

    { no dice please, as this is a user controlled NPC monster it is unnecessary and un-neat for this thread }

First, Akua withdrew her throwing picks. She hit the cobra between the eyes with a {single shot}, which depleated it's HP by two. Jumping back, Akua called to her party. "Switch!"

    Akua 11(?)/11(?) HP

(other party members enter data here)

    Cobra 4/6(let's say?) HP

  3. What? She didn't hold her toung, nomatter how obvious, dumb, or rude something was. They where her opinions; damn straight people should hear them. If they bit their toungs that was their problem, not hers. It was a nice way to live, albeit a misunderstood way.

He seemed to, jokingly atleast, have the capacity to be mean; her type of person, if he wasn'f always so blatently nice afterwards. She gave a small chuckle. "Oi, I like ya' kid. I've the feeling we'll work together well," she proclaimed, offering a double fanged smile. "Just don't get on m' nerves and we're cool."

Akua began following at a more even pace, and she glaned around the mouth of the forest. "What does what we're looking for look like, anyways?" she inquired, feeling it a neccessary knowledge.

  4. Her gaze became fixed on the croissant, her expression as if she were saying; oooh. Snatching one, Akua quickly wolfed it down. She was in the middle of eating when she heard him speaking to her again. She halfway glanced up, and noting she could wait to respond, she just shrugged, and finished her snack. "Is'sok," she rushed, beore turning to his next question.

She considered it a moment. How was it unique? Akua mulled it over a minute, before answering. "She's 'bout the size of a wolf, and seems to be a large cat -- a snow leopard I assume, from that info. She's got very dark blue fur, although it's slightly brighter around her neck, tail, and some other areas. She's got my eyes, or close to 'em, and tiny, more careful details."

  5. She thought a moment, before giving a blunt smile. Her smile was more to the left this time, thus exposing her left tiny fang. "I've loads of food, Dellis," she puffed, showing her inventory. It was a fairly heafty list of bread, meats, and other, prepared foods. "I'm kinda a food hoarder." At that, Akua was reminded of something.

Taking out a piece of bread, she waved it infront of Dellis. "Take it. It's not gonna give itself to ya," she shrugged, waving it around some more. Whenever she partied with someone, a "peace of bread" was quite customary for her. Wow Akua. That pun was really worn down.

And with that, she considered his other question. "I think I've only decided on feline, however I have seen this one, particularly elusive looking one that looks pretty unique to the system," Akua shrugged.

  6. { LOLLL IDK why that made me laugh so much xD }

Noticing Kirito's unease, assumedly at her teeth, she stifled a small chuckle. "You act like ya've never seen any anime! Wait, don't tell me you HAVEN'T?" Akua laughed, unable to stifle it any longer. "Unless yo-yo-you thought that was just for design and people didn't honestly have teeth like this?" she wondered, calming down. "And I'm sorry, I'm just guessin' cause alot of people react like that when I smile."

She sighed, shaking her head. "Oi, ya' don't get my style yet kid? Well that's okay, you will soon," Akua stated, chewing on a piece of bread now between sentances. Void the fact she called an older person "kid," Akua was focusing on something more important. The "peace of bread." ...Yeah, that pun got old yet again.

Noting now that Kirito had been the one to hand food to her, and not the other way around, Akua shrugged. Perhaps it was customary, or perhaps it really was that this dude shared her style. Whatever it was, they'd probably work well together...probably.

  7. Akua looked around, finally spotting Dellis. "Oi, Dellis!" she said firmly, waving. "That's exactly right."

Slowly, Akua pushed herself back into a standing position, and she fixed up her ponytail. She didn't want it in her way, nor did Akua want to miss any good familiars. Essentially, due to her love of cats, she'd love a feline companion; a large one would be plain awesome.

Shaking her head a bot, Akua resoluted they should get a move on right away. Turning to Dellis, she stated this, before glancing around. Her crystalline optics finally spotted a nicer, lush area that seemed more feline-friendly. "Perhaps we should look over there? It's awhile away, and it seems there are monsters inbetween as well, but it seems diverse."

  8. As Akua had been rushing to the feilds to search for her perfect NPC partner, she had tripped. In a game. Luckily, this had given the blue haired girl some time to think. That, and notice she had been so excited, that she had been rushing around in circles.

She was thinking aout how boring doing this quest alone would be. Sighing, she went over all the people she had met mentally. There was Daeron, Haine, Zelrius, Swift, Kirito, Dellis, and some others. Out of them all, Akua remembered Dellis had offered to help her. So she propped herself up into a sitting position, and sent the request.

  9. "Damn it!" she spat, pulling out her throwing picks once more, and putting her rapier away. All that time she hadn't slowed down. Suddenly, the deer veered, and she halted. Akua threw the needle like weapons in a {Single Shot} quickly, not really focusing this time. If it hit, it hit.

  10. Akua rolled a nine

    Akua HP: 9

    Boar HP: 0 - DEAD

    Kyoki HO: 5

She saw as a glowing line lit up the side of the boar, and after a freezing moment, it dissapeared. It left three...boar chop things, on the ground. "Alright, Kyoki we did it!" she smiled, offering two of the three food items to her student. It only seemed right, right?

  11. "G'job, Kyoki! Switch!" she called out, smiling. She was so proud of her student; she was a fast learner. She could only hope they'd both live. It didn't feel right to teach someone then know either of you died. Really, it didn't. Leaping foward, she drew out her rapier once more.

    Battle Dice(for this thread)

1 = miss with 1 HP lost(monster countered and hit)

2-3 = miss, no HP lost

    4-6 = hit (does 1 damage)

7-10 = hit (does two damage)

11+ = hit (does three damage

Akua dove foward, aiming a {Linear} attack again.

  12. At his sudden announcement of being the legendary Beater, the normally cold Akua couldn't contain a childlike smile. Her right little fang was showing this time. She found it curious how people rarely commented on her tiny, pointy teeth, or how they took turns randomly showing when she was either smiling or mad.

Akua clasped her hands together, suddenly excited. "Wow! You're the Beater? I thought you where a myth, a fairy tale! I thought you where just... I don't know!" she chirped, bouncing up and down. And she was doing a quest with him? The Beater? There could be so much she could learn!

Suddenly realizing how she was acting, she shook her head, awkwardly calming down. "Eugh, I'm sorry about that annoying burst of energy," she snapped, stomping her foot. Finally, she continued after Kirito again, not without glancing around her every so often.

She noted the subtle changes, and nodded slowly. Akua knew this quest needed to be completed, no rhyme intended. Although it was all fake, somehow, her feet softly clicked every so often on the base. The noise could trick any good ear for real. Even though it was fake it could trick anyone's eye for reality. And although creepy and dangerous, hellish and horrifying, she couldn't help but indulge in the beauty of the scenery and sounds every so often.

  13. She blinked, silently laughing at the gypsy's final sentances. Alright, then, she mentally puffed. What a rude, blunt NPC. But, atleast he had given her rather useful information. She was already making plans of how to get her familiar, and what species she'd get. She didn't want a boar and a wolf seemed cliché. Perhaps she could meet a species unheard of. That would be awesome. Particularly Akua would be fond of a cat themed familiar.

She nodded. "Thank you. This will be of great use to me," she sighed, rolling her eyes that she was talking to pixels, glorified pixels. Akua slowly turned away, noting that the gypsy was soon wandering and stoic again. A curious creature, he was, if not perhaps poorly coded. But, alright.

Turning away fully now, Akua quickly headed for the fields' direction. With some stomps to the ground, she was off.

  14. She thought for a moment. She recalled she had essentially picked as many speed inducing skills as possible, and she felt excercizing these could only do good. "I'll do it!" she ansered sharply, quickly withdrawing her rapier. She spun around, instantly running as fast as she could after the young deer. She, however, wasn't quite faster yet, so giving chase was hard for her.

She planned on wearing it out, rapier propped in her right hand. Akua attempted to rush at it, and aimed to score a {Linear} attack on it's side.

  15. She gave a breif nod. "Aaalright," she shrugged, and began on her way. She wondered what he had meant. Weren't half of SAO's players bound to be "mere children?" She highly doubted everyone was the recommended thirteen or older. Unless he meant stupid, little NPC children. Then he might have a point.

"Oh, wait," she stated, halting abruptly. She honestly didn't know which way to go. If she did, she would have been halfway there by now, metaphorically. However, Akua noted, Kirito seemed to know alot about this place aswell as where ey were heading. "Where're we going? And how'd'ya know so much?"

  16. Akua rolled a seven

    Akua HP: 9

    Boar HP: 3

    Kyoki HO: 5

And it hit! Smiling, Akua jumped back, glancing at Kyoki. "Switch!" she called out, and awaited Kyoki to draw her sword. She felt appeased that it had landed a good hit; nice was to start off the lesson. Maybe she'd be a good teacher.

  17. She nodded. Fair enough, fair enough; Akua could understand. "Alright, see that boar over there? Draw y' sword, Kyoki-san," she warned, pulling out her rapier. "I attack first; then we switch and you attack it, okay? Then we take turns," she explained simply.

    Battle Dice(for this thread)

1 = miss with 1 HP lost(monster countered and hit)

2-3 = miss, no HP lost

    4-6 = hit (does 1 damage)

7-10 = hit (does two damage)

11+ = hit (does three damage

Aiming her rapier, Akua hoped to land a {Linear} strike on the boar's side.

  18. She seemed relieved as Zelrius caught the bread, and she watched as he stowed it away. Good, he took the peace-of-bread. Has that gotten old yet? Then turning to the young deer, she nodded breifly. "Cool, that seems good," Akua shrugged. First, she took out her Throwing Picks. Throwing towards the fawn, she attempted a {Single Shot}. She silently willed for it to hit, biting her lip.

  19. After taking an automated breath, the gypsy continued. "GYPSY will tell AKUA how to get a familiar. A familiar is a faithful friend made from a monster."

Aha, interesting. So it was almost like a predomestication? Maybe this could be useful. She wondered if familiars could... No no no, there's no way familiars could do that. No puppies, kittens, or whatever else should be running around Sword Art Online. That's crazy, and Akua knew that wasn't th point of a familiar. This wasn't a pet show sim.

But just maybe, maybe familiars could fight with you. As she was about to ask, the gypsy confirmed this. "Familiars can help you in battle. They can also die just like you can. However these familiars are merely AIs; no real animals are hurt. I have fo say that for... Legal reasons."

Okay, for "legal reasons?" That was the dumbest thing Akua had ever heard. They where capturing and slaughtering humans. Yet they where wordied about the legality of...whatever. What idiot would think beasts where real animals, anyways? But okay then, it seriously was not her problem right now.

"What happens is, you feed a particularly friendly monster; thus is become your faithful companion. Simple enough, yes? You just need the guts to befriend it, first...don't die. Or die. GYPSY does not care," he explained, and the blue haired girl listened. Interesting...

  20. Akua stared blankly at this "Kirito" dude, sending over a party invite. She saw his name color, but she had been learning to "trust" anyone really. This trust was of course not genuine, but fair enough to survive. She still had her guard up at all times, and she learned that the rumor-had-it that not all green names where safe to go either. Never would she fully trust anyone, not now.

But he seemed well meaning, and she was fast enough to escape and although she wasn't string enough to fight a level twenty one, she felt fine. Akua stared, with her harsh blue eyes, dead at him. "So, sounds like we've got a quest to beat? And thanks for letting me know about it," she stated, somewhat halfheartedly.

  21. "Aha, so I see. What should we do? Farm, I guess? I've only fought boars, but I think it's fine for me to try other species now," she suggested, shrugging. Honestly she was just bored, and started waving around the bread. Her fingers felt as if they where cramping, and she sighed. Her fingers slipped up, and the bread started to fall. "Awh, crap!" she growled, jumping down. She had just lost food, didn't she? Well. Damn.

  22. She thought for a moment. "I use a rapier--the starter rapier, nothing fancy-- and throwing picks. If you add rapier -- throwing picks are kinda unnecessary, just nice to have -- to your skills list, I think I could help you better?" Akua suggested. If she didn't take Akua's suggestion it would be fine, and she could still show her how to fight. It wasn't exactly rocket science.
