Aya's shoulders dropped, relaxing as she heard Calrex's words, they would be returning to the starting zone soon and that means safety, food and a good book.
The cool afternoon's air swirled around the loosened strands of her long hair blowing them across her vision. She sighed undoing her hair and quickly braiding it into two plaits her arms contorting as she did so to reach the bottom of the long purple locks.

Her long purple hair now tamed Aya turned to follow the bluenette ,who was also scanning the ground, as she did so Aya spotted something in the rocks of the outcrop of boulders she had just been standing on. "No it can't be," she thought she recognised the shiny materials in front of her as being extremely useful. "No, Check, go on quickly" She said to herself. She selected her notebook from her inventory and quickly scanned the pages "Yes Whooooo, Shiny!" She squealed with glee as she ran full pelt towards it, scared the shininess may actually disappear. Picking the materials  she had correctly recognised as being extremely useful in a blur she immediately added it to her inventory and returned the book before the shiny was lost.

"Yes, Finally seem to be getting somewhere" She beamed, returning to follow the bluenette now a little way off ahead of her.

Aya spotted a nearby outcrop of boulders,"maybe the height advantage will help." she though whilst moving towards them determined to find something useful.
Aya agilely manoeuvred herself up the outcrop reaching the top of the largest bolder. As she did so whisps of purple hair, loosened by adventure, blew gently in the breeze. She pulled herself upwards and immediately threw her arms in front of her face. The sun was starting to descend in the sky, blue was splashed with purple, pink and gold. The Height advantage was defiantly helpful  "Ermm Should we head back to the safe zone soon?" The anxiety laced question escaped her head before she had a chance to stop it and came charging out of her mouth.
"We could continue to search on the way" she added not wanting to sound too desperate to move to safety and end the searching, she still needed a lot more materials.
Aya turned to start the decent from her vantage point and spotted something shiny on the ground. Quickly dismounting the boulder she rushed over to the patch of shiny to discover that it was, squashed shiny goodness which was no longer helpful to anyone. "Hump" She grumbled to herself.

Listening to the bluenette Aya looked around the the scenery she couldn't help but be taken aback by the increasing amount of new beauty she could see in front of her. sShe fresh guilt wash over her again for not venturing out of starting city before and at the same time excitement for the new adventures she would be having in the future.
She had a sudden feeling as if she was meant to be hungry, and started to crave cookies and ice cream. Smiling to herself remembering all the happy memories she had because of cookies.
Snapping out of her day dream she quickly looked around and bent down to inspect another squashed weed.
"Noting seems to be appearing here yet," she grumbled.
"Take your head out of the cookie bowl and you may get somewhere" The internal monologue glowed at her from where it was currently sulking.
"Shut up" she whispered, suddenly realising that although it had barley been audible, her adventuring partner may have heard her, embarrassment crept up her cheeks.
"Ermm shall we keep going?" she said shakily.

Aya, reading the book she'd spent hours writing up by candle light in the Dragon's Head inn between remembering to eat, sleep and occasionally look out on the world by climbing onto the roof from her attic bedroom window and escaping over the roofs of starting city. Smiling, something caught her eye flicking back through the pages as something in the book, she was sure, resembled what she was staring at on the ground. She protected it with her body, protecting it in case any wandering feet blemished what could at this point be weed or treasure.

Scanning the page she was looking for she looked quickly in Calrex's direction.. Well this sure isn't rubbish in fact... As she placed the notebook gently on the ground and pulling the herb with care, out from where it sprung from the ground. This will do nicely As she sent it quickly to her inventory, before it could become blemished and finally picked the book up from the ground. "Shall we continue, if things are re-spawning we may be in luck"

"Oh, I've heard of it but... " Aya's voice lowed to a whisper "This is the furthest area I've traveled to on the first floor" her cheeks burned with the ignorance she had of this world, the fear of a death worse than boar had kept her from exploring for too long. She looked back through the pages of the book, again, in desperation that something on the ground would resemble something of use to her.

Aya continued to look around "Nothing of any use, yet" She held up yet another trampled herb "This one was useful at some point," She grumbled letting out a long drawn out breath and throwing it aside.

“I thought it was the area I was searching maybe I'm just no good at searching, need more practice.” she mumbled. Beneath the long purple hair and the long swishy clothes Aya was starting to feel the disappointment reach further into her, the internal monologue sired and quickly she looked in the opposite direction to continue her search.

As Calrex set off Aya followed on beside him as quickly as her legs could carry her, she'd forgotten recently the difficulty she had keeping up with taller people due to her short stature. Her purple hair and long coat flowing behind her as Calrex strolled, taking in the surroundings and searching for items. Aya gave up after a-while trying to spot items as the scenery flew by her, her head spinning. She took out the notebook and began to search thoroughly Calrex off in the distance but still visible. "Nothing here" she sighed and looking up from the book she realised her guide was closer than she had realised, almost knocking into him. Taking in the view she was taken aback at the beauty of what surrounded her she thought starting city was beautiful with it's narrow streets that could suddenly bring you out into a bright sunlight courtyard. Or the rain pouring down the windows of the starlight cafe and the patterns of light from the outside. But this was different. Aya listened as she took in what was being said to her, new found confidence increasing with this information. "I didn't find anything on the walk hopefully this will be a bit more productive" she replied with a smile "I've never been to this area it is beautiful," as she started to search the area around where they were stood.

Calrex's information filled Aya with new questions, " Who are these information brokers? I wonder if any stat at the Dragon's Head inn? wonder if they charge for the information? They must do how would they earn a living otherwise."

Whilst listening Aya scanned the area, as Calrex added the flower to his inventory Aya thought she recognised it taking out the note book again she quickly flicked through the pages coming to the page she needed marking in it where they were, "Maybe I could become a broker, Or not, you like starting city too much" She giggled to herself, this was a kinder internal monologue one Aya had almost forgotten she had. Suddenly close to where Calrex had picked the first flower she spotted a second but this one had been squashed beyond use, "At least they seem to be spawning here. Question is, has it been there all along? how could I have missed it the first time? Or has it spawned whilst we have been here?" She wondered. Smiling and looking up she replied "Sounds good to me, lead the way."

Calrex was looking around “Probably for loot” Aya thought as she decided it as best to start looking herself. On a quick scan the area looked barren of anything that was useful. Selecting her menu she took out the notebook scanning the pages to check there wasn't something she was overlooking but it seemed that, no there was indeed nothing useful in the area. Aya turned to the back of the book and selecting a pencil added detail into the map she had been drawing for her self. Calrex spoke through her concentration confirming her fear. "Heh, I still remember when I could find lots of materials in a single area. Now it seems it's going to be a bit more difficult." She selected her inventory and sent the pencil and note book back safety. “I'd been having difficulty myself one place, a forest outside of Starting city, was recommended to me but it was barren. I did think it was my inexperience and nervousness but now I'm starting to think otherwise. Is there anywhere you think we could go next? “

  9. Calrex's words encouraged Aya she knew now no matter what she had finally killed something looking around on the ground she was dismayed to see no loot could be seen, but that didn't matter too much. She was proud of herself something she hadn't felt in a long time. The internal monologue was silent. Resting her hands on her knees, bent double Carex's offer of a rest was greatly received "Thank you" she puffed feeling better from her battle weakness.

She was considering her disappointment over the lack of loot when suddenly she Looked up sharply as Clarex held out the item he was offering to trade it was small and black, a crystallized stone wrapped around a simple thin rope. Aya held out a shaky hand taking the item "Thank you" she smiled "But I don't have much to offer in the way of a trade" Her cheeks blushed with the embarrassment of the situation she was in, she was a proud person and didn't like taking what she couldn't give back.
Aya added the corrupted stone to her inventory and immediately equipped the item placing the rope attached to the stone around her neck tying it off, forming a necklace. Her stats instantly changing to increase her accuracy. She smiled "Right where next?"

"That last attack was really close. I'm pretty sure you're getting the hang of it. Keep at it and eventually the second sense will start to kick in." Aya turned looking at the boar and something clicked inside her head  taking herself to a place far away somewhere only she knew. Instantly calming the pounding pressure in her head from the constant barrage of abuse the internal monologue was trying to inflict on her. She felt different like she had grown 6ft in moments, she knew what she had to do now, before she thought she knew now she actually knew. Eyes trans-fixed on the boar (And nothing else) letting out a long drawn out breath. And then she darted forwards, nothing wavered her from her quarry, slashing vertically at the beast which squealed in pain and burst into a thousand strands of light and dissipated. Aya looked at the floor breathing heavily she didn't know if she could look up because the world around her had changed, she had changed.

"It's completely normal to miss more than half your strikes when starting out."

Calrex's patents and encouragement continued to pull Aya out of the stressful, hurtful, lethal situation she was getting herself into the determination was visible on her face. But the internal monologue was still trying to distract her, pull her away from her concentration "This is why boars are a bad idea" Then the determination was exchanged for a smile,. A smile which flashed across her face like the rays of the sun. "I wonder who has killed more players," She mused "Boars or orange players"

"Come on Aya you've got to focus this time" she reminded herself.

She prepared herself mentally. Then crouching low before she sprang at the boar she slashed towards the beast with her weapon but again her blade missed the flesh of the animal but instead gave the beast an impromptu hair cut. It didn't look impressed with Aya's efforts. "Come on you Can do this, nearly there" she encouraged herself looking apologetically in Calrex's direction.

Aya Could tell Calrex's attempts to calm her and to reassure her were genuine but still the internal monologue that hung with her like a bad stench continued its tirade of self confidence diminishing abuse."You'll never do this, you're going to die, this is another trap, you're useless," She ignored her internal thought. Thank you she breathed with a smile in the direction of the bluenette. He dodged the boar's strike "How does he do that," she wondered in awe.

She calmed herself, she could hear the voices continually uttering abuse and warnings at her but she continued to ignore them. "You make those that do hit count. Accuracy will come with time" Calrex's words rung in her head as she thrust forwards again with her long sword in the direction of the beast but she heard the voices in her head and she lost confidence in her attack at the crucial moment when she would have hit the beast and missed again. Passing to the side she Gritted her teeth in anger, desperation and the embarrassing shame that after three hits she hadn't managed to land a single blow to the beast. Boars were turning into her nemesis but she was determined to conquer this beast, the beast within, her self and prove she could fight.

  13. Aya Listened intently to Shinzoku, she wasn't hungry but as soon as the waitress had moved away she wished she had also ordered something to drink. Responding to his comment about the orange player she responded “My opinion of orange players hasn't been helped by the stories, most of them, highly over exaggerated, in places like this” She gestured to their surroundings continuing. “But I completely agree without knowing people, anyone to be fair, you don't know what brought them to the situation they are in today, made them who they are; who is anyone really to judge” she trailed off. The question about a guild had completely thrown her “That's what this was about it was an initiation, and you failed” her internal monologue didn't stay quiet for long.

“Errm, I'm not sure what I would do, if I was scouted by a guild, to be honest.” pausing she gave it some more external thought. “I guess I'd want to know more about the guild, what they stood or, how I could support them .” Looking round she was hoping to spot the waitress her mouth was turning dry. “Why do you ask?” her curiosity couldn't wait any longer she needed to know his purpose, was he stuck in a situation he couldn't get out of?

Aya quickly wiped her hands individually on her trousers making sure there wouldn't be a repeat of what just occurred "Come on you can do this" Aya Encouraged herself, "Take your time, breath nice strong shot this time ." Taking a moment before she spun, turning to slash forwards at the beast."This time you'll hit it you see" she continued to encourage herself. The blade flashed in the sunlight seeking it's prey but her purple hair hit her in the face as she spun , and again her blade didn't touch the boar. "Argg when will you do some thing useful!"she screamed at her self, stubbornness and frustration were getting the better of her. She needed to listen to Clarex but Aya was in danger of loosing herself the internal monologue that had kept her safe thus far was winning out she couldn't do this. A tear ran down her cheek "Sorry" she called in the direction of the bluenette before composing herself again. " This isn't going well is it," "shut up”she breathed, “and leave me alone, you don't own me"

Aya watched as Clarex drew the attention of the boar his sword swirling with a blue vortex letting out a roar as he slammed it to the ground. The boar turned "Oh great look this isn't going to go well" her internal monologue screamed "Find a new tune to sing," Aya snarled at it.

Aya drew her long sword, she ran forwards towards the boar, the single purple plait flying in the wind behind her. Her internal monologue screaming its constant barrage of concern and rebukes, but by now she was determined not to let it get the better of her. Stubbornness and determination was driving her forward. The boar was coming closer and closer it's attention turned to Calrex.

Aya slashed forwards at the boar but her sweaty hands had made the hilt of the sword slippy and as she hit the boar the blade moved in her hand and diminished the power of the hit. She had missed, the boar didn't even flinch " You Se.." "Don't bother!" she interrupted the monologue again, before it could do any more damage.

  16. As Aya followed the bluenette towards the gates fo the settlement she pondered aloud "Your right I have huge respect for orange players, one doesn't know how they gained their orange crystals, my apprehension comes from hanging around staring city for as long as I have the stories. To be honest though the stories don't really help or fully portray the person behind the crystal." Aya sighed " The orange player I've met and quested with, has relay helped me in setting up my shop, in fact It's her I owe a huge debt of gratitude to for helping me find the alchemist I needed to train with and for giving me a discount on the items for my crafting. You are right I need to be prepared for even the worst situation but then all the stories and scaremongering have over prepared me and I think that's why I have got into the situations I have."

Stopping a little way from where they passed through the gates of the settlement Aya's palms started to feel sweaty as she gripped the handle of her long sword. She was fighting the voices inside her head that were reminding her ,once again, of the last time this happened "Yes but you forget I actually did hit something once." Yeah but that was weakened your never going to be able to do this properly" Realising she was, once again listening to voices that were not helping with the current situation she pushed them out of her head, sighed and smiled exclaiming with determination "I'm ready. Lets do this!"

  17. "Yeah I'm sure I'm going to be mistaken for a member of staff I'm in here so often, in fact I think they see me coming and bake a fresh batch of cookies, I swear they have become tastier recently" Her smile faded slightly

"Hmm to give you more details, the best way I can describe what happened. Basically I met a player who invited me on a quest and an orange player was hiding in the area I gathered after the fight was over he was actually there to keep an eye on another player, who was helping with the quest. But it all got very confusing and I froze during the fight" Aya paused "In fact I'm still confused about what was relay going on and I still need to resolve the situation with the player who invited me on the quest I feel guilty for freezing"

"And it will happen again," "No it won't, hang on why am I arguing with myself again" Aya shook her head but quickly looked up hoping she hadn't come across as being rude.

"That would be fantastic I just need to hit something, well as long as it's monster shaped and it drops loot and to build my confidence " her smile returned.

"I'm ready to start whenever you are" As she stood up as a gesture of her eagerness or was it her stubbornness "You need to be careful you know what happens when you get stubborn" Aya again brushed off the comments from her internal monologue and steeped away from the table and towards the door.

  18. “Oh no, I bet he will really appreciate the thought though.” She paused moving a thick long section of purple hair out of her mouth she sighed and quickly braided her long hair into a single braid. “Sorry it seems to be getting longer, if that's possible, and more annoying it seems to want to be eaten, I've never tried the strawberry crème pies myself I have a thing for the chocolate chip cookies."

"This is either going to go really well or it's going to turn into another Boar gate situation" She thought "Well I need to get over that and move on non combat is hurting my chances of supporting the people I care about keep focusing on that." "Yeah or it is going to turn into another cower in the corner situation who are you kidding it will turn into that.. again" Her internal monologue interrupted her.

Aya ignored it, it had kept her safe in her early days in starting city but it was no becoming harmful to her personal mission the reason she was here.

“I've spent enough time, afraid of material gathering because of the possibility of combat, alone. but I need help and I relay appreciate it I've tried this strategie but the other player was of a similar level and I lost confidence , that and other players were around and the whole situation knocked my confidence "

She swiped the interface and the book dissipated into he inventory, “Do you want to get started now ?”

  19. "Well done you excelled at introducing yourself there" Her monologue continued bombarding her with rebukes.

“Hi Calrex, it's a pleasure to meet you too sorry for the awful introduction my name is Aya" She Sighed slowing down You're talking to quickly again, slow down you will scare him off” . "Thank you, I'd feel like gathering materials outside starting city or even on a different floor wouldn't be as dangerous if I didn't go alone.”

She finished drinking the milkshake and wiped her mouth on a napkin before continuing.

“Where would you suggest to start? I don't think I was looking in the best place and to be honest it was probably my own caution that held back my productiveness. I tried in the forest outside of the city but I only followed the outskirts and didn't venture too far into the forest I've heard too many horror stories of boars attacks to risk going further”

As she finished the waiter bought a take out order to Calrex, swiping the bag dissipated, Aya presumed he was keeping it for later. "Something for the journey?" She inquired.

  20. Someone was moving behind Aya, moving towards her she put her head on her arms peeking behind her it was the ultramarine haired player she had seen in the cafe before. Then Aya remembered that he had looked troubled, at a loss. “And He’s Coming This Way!” Screamed her internal monologue.

“Um, excuse me, do you need some help with something?”

Aya’s face represented shock, concern and relief, her ears and arms burned.

She fumbled the book was still open in her hand, putting it down on the table next to the plate.

“Say something, you need to say something! Come on you need the help, what’s taking so long it looks like your being rude”

“Thank you, you see I’ve been slowly getting used to life here, at first it was all too daunting and I didn’t really interact with people. But recently I’ve been meeting other players and I’ve been outside  starting city more than I ever thought I would cope with but combat scares me I’ve been overwhelmed and It’s nearly cost other people. (She took a long breath) I’ve recently opened my Alchemy shop and after buying equipment from an artisan, with discount and the promise of returning the favour of discounts I’ve got no materials left, I’m desperate to go out and collect some but I’ve not ventured onto further than the forest outside this city on my own”  She trailed off, “Well that wen form 0-100 in 15 seconds, well done you've probably scared him off, no chance of help now, idiot” Her internal monologue was on form today.

“S-Sorry, do you want to sit? “ Aya gestured to the seat in font of her.

  21. Aya woke, it was a glorious day outside the heat from the sun warming her tiny room in the Dragon's Head inn through the open window, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. A couple of hours later she was sat in the Starlight Cafe book open her nose buried deep in its pages, she had skipped breakfast at the inn for something she had been craving for the past 24 hours. A waiter approaching the table made her jump he placed down a plate with hot steaming waffles, ice cream, and fresh cookies broken over the top of the mouth watering delight and a cookies and cream milkshake "Sorry for the delay miss we ran out of cookies so these are fresh." "It's ok, thank you" Aya replied with a smile
She sighed as she spooned the delicious food into her mouth, it had been an extremely busy couple of days and now the knowledge that she would have to go out searching for more materials filled her with dread.
"You'll get yourself killed and then you know all this will be for nothing" Her inner monologue rebuked her.
She knew she couldn't go alone this time "But who to go with" she said out loud, looking quickly around to see if there was anyone who could have heard her.

  22. Aya left her room in the Dragon's Head Inn heading for Teayre's shop some time later she returned with items she needed for crafting they were items Rachel had suggested when Aya had been training with her.
Aya sighed it had been a long and tiring couple of days the shop was looking good ,now she needed stock. At least Aya knew the shop would have one coustomer she was still wary of Teayre but was extreamly thankful that she had sold the items at reduction returning the favour was the least she could do.
Aya locked the door behind her and closed the blinds it was dark outside and it looked like she would be spending the night in the shop again.
Aya entered the work space behind the main shop front looking at the tiny pile of materials she would have to go out again to gather.
Stoking the fire below the cauldron she started to prepare the materials.
The first potion she followed the instructions Rachel had provided to the letter Aya stepped back proud of herself.

Aya crashed on the chair in the shop sleep came instantly.

  23. Aya nervously walked towards the Amethyst Boutique, her interactions with Teayre has set her nerves on edge and she was hoping this wouldn't offend Teayre to the point where Aya regretted the outcome. " She's an orange player whatever could go wrong" her inner monologue mused.

Pushing open the door she found her resolve she needed these items for her shop it was all or nothing. The door swung open easily taking Aya off guard, breathing she regained her composure.
