Nerius

OOC: Ok, posting order is now abolished. However, fun fact, @Hakai and @Morgenstern will continue to fall. They have both told me how they wish to resolve their falls. So, once they have resolved their landings (they can skip the round of Free Fall Post and hit the ground immediately) then the thread will end and rewards be divvied out.

Nerius noted, with a malicious glee, that the leader of the raid had refused to attack on his turn. No doubt the crimson headed man was shaking in his very boots, down to the foundation of his nasty and equally crimson headed soul as he watched two of the warriors under his command flail about in the air after Nerius had launched them. Either that or he was trying to save them. No matter, his efforts would be for naught. Morgenstern and Hakai would hit the ground and shatter into pixels. The termite infestation would kill him, Nerius could see that now, but he would most assuredly squish two of the meddlesome players. The Treant could live with that. Crossing his arms over his broad wooden chest, Nerius made no attempt to defend himself as Macradon and Hirru fired off the final blows that ended Nerius' reign. "Save your pathetic friends, if you can!" With those final words, the Nerius, the Evil Treant, shattered into pixels and was gone.

As the effects of the stun wore off Nerius, cold and calculating as ever, considered his various options for punishing the players for their insolence. Who did these little worms think they were? They were a blight upon the very fabric of the forest, a flaming plague which only Nerius could stop. After all, if the colossal treant didn't stop their merciless, bloody rampage then who would? As Kooh advanced to attack the tree man laced his fingers together and narrowed his eyes to hateful slits, considering each of the attacking players in turn before making his decision.

With no leader, the group would be powerless to act. Paralyzed by fear. It was that simple.

The treant's left hand shot out towards Rain, but at the last second he snatched it back as vines extended from the right hand and wrapped themselves around @Hakai from her ankles to her chin. Like a champion deep sea fisherman, the massive treant hauled in the now helpless player until he held the insignificant little beastie firm in his grip. "Fly away, little birdie," the tree shepherd growled, cocking his arm back and launching the blonde woman into the air every bit as high as Morganstern had been launched mere seconds before. Nerius watched with satisfaction as she rocketed away, nearly slamming into Morgenstern who had already begun to fall back to earth.

Roll & Battle Order

OOC: Posting now. Stunned. Can't attack. @Hakai, you're up.

As the next group of players moved to assault him, and the sanctity of his grove of trees, Nerius prepared himself for the onslaught. The huge treant settled into a defensive posture and was thinking on what he would do to attack the players when the leader of the attacking party stunned him. Again. Paralyzing energy coursed through Nerius and he was unable to move or do anything to attack the players and enact more punishment upon them for their invasion and despoiling of his home and garden in the forest clearing. With an angry roar, Nerius narrowed his eyes and made a careful note of the player that was responsible for stunning him. Seul would feel his wrath. Seul would be launched into the sky to meet his death and his doom, just as Morgenstern had been.

Battle Order:

As the tiny, termite-like, members of the player community continued their assault on Nerius the colossal Treant's anger grew into something that was truly an awesome sight to behold, at least in the figurative sense. These players, all players, were a blight. A horrifying blight upon the very fabric of Nerius' perfect garden grove. The Treant came to realize that, clearly, there was a need to illustrate to these players how very wrong they were in their assumptions that they could defeat him. They required a lesson in the sheer, awe-inspiring terror, that all Treant's could produce when threatened.

Quicker than almost any eye could follow Nerius' hand shot out. Vines extended from the hand and wrapped themselves around @Morgenstern's legs and chest. With a savage bellow of triumph, Nerius reeled the tank in to his grip until he was dangling Morgenstern upside down by his legs about thirty feet in the air so they were eye level with one another.

"BE GONE, TERMITE!" Nerius roared in Morgenstern's face and then hauled his arm back and launched the heavily armored player straight up into the air. Morgenstern looked as if he had been accelerated out of a cannon as he soon shot well over a thousand feet into the air, leaving the blonde man as a mere speck in the vision of those players on the ground.

Roll and Combat Order

One of the little ants had spoiled Nerius' plans for the first attack. The large man with the sword would, surely, pay for his insolence in stunning the colossal Treant. As the stunning effect at last wore off the Treant's wooden-eyed gaze swept around the forest meadow clearing that he called home and fingers as thick around as the raid leader Mack clinched into wicked looking fists. With a roar Nerius threw his arms wide and swept them towards the group of players that had just attacked him, a pair of python-like vines extending from each arm to whip out towards the players. One of them, the one that had roared, was able to withstand the attack while the next to last among them succeeded in a nifty bit of acrobatics to dodge the incoming strike. The remaining four players, however, were heavily battered by the vines as the growing weapons lashed into Zandra, Hydra, Teayre, and Alice with the force of a rampaging rhinoceros. Once the vines had done their damage Nerius withdrew the weapons back to himself and crossed his arms over his broad chest, surveying the battlefield once again and planning his next attack.
