  1. However, the reason why they would not give it to lower players so easily was because it was said that they needed them to go further, and to use them would only put them in danger. Because this was not dangerous at all on it's own, beating a quest, gaining the loot from it, then getting the heck out of there as quickly as he could. It was fine though, as long as he actually made it out alive, there was plenty of time to use his Col on getting something that would allow him to go through the monsters without having to fight them. It was called a weapon, a good one at that. Player shops seemed to be nice to him as he has seen recently when scrolling through, some even offered beginner discounts as well. That was something that he was more than willing to look into, and they definitely would have his loyalty to them for such a thing. With that, he would smile, thinking of such bright thoughts such as that.

  2. He would continue to tread on the thin ice as the rustles of the grass would end up exposing him to danger. It was like an RPG in the fields, and he could get caught in a battle at any moment. The chances of danger increase once he travels too much without getting into a fight, which would guarantee himself getting into a bit of trouble if he did not move too fast. But moving faster would increase the chances, even if it got him away from the dangerous territory faster. Was he hosed either way? That was about correct. Some games also had some sort of repellent for "weak" monsters, which meant that those in the first floor would probably stay away from him for a certain amount of time. This would only be found by higher leveled players, who did not see the need to fight them in the first place, which was why they were given the option to not bother with them. That was a nice luxury.

  3. That encounter set his goals in a completely different direction. He was not trying to get the material, that was long gone. He needed to make sure to get out of there and back to the village without dying in the process. Seems this was going to be a bit harder than he expected. At this point, his health has gone to a point in which he is unable to guarantee his life anymore. As long as he did not end up falling to the trap of spawns, he should be fine. With that, he would place out his spear, preparing for another battle and distraction if he needed it. He told himself that he could continue to run, he felt like he had a decent amount of energy in his grip to do so. But that did not mean that he could guarantee anything yet. So with this, he would place the weapon up, eyes shifting, and his legs ready to bail out when needed. Other than that, he made his trip to the safe zone to get the quest finished and get his new armor. Just the thought placed a smile on his face.

  4. With this, the both of them would end up on a hot pursuit for him to get out of there, and for it to end his life. They were both trying really hard, and unfortunately for him, he would end up tripping  in the process. However, the pig was also pretty bad at luck as well, since it made an attempt to leap, only to go above the head of the player and miss him in the end. Perfect, now he could make a break for it! So with that, Sey would get back up onto his feet, in a scrambling fashion that had as much grace as one could expect from the unfortunate player before he dashed towards the opponent direction, leaving a confused NPC enemy behind as quickly as he could. This also steered him a little bit off track thanks to the fact that he moved towards the opposite direction. Now he needed to find a detour to get around the being, hopefully not getting to fight another monster.

  5. And so there it was... A chest! "I think I found it! We must hurry before it disappears!" Sey would exclaim, pointing out his finger towards it, rushing forward towards the chest the quickest he could through the fields. He did not know how long it had been there, but it was now there. As he paced, he would panic as this has happened before. It might be one of those moments... If he made it just in time, he could get a chance to kick it open. However, it was too late indeed, for he was not fast enough, and the chest would shatter to pieces. "No... We were so close to getting that loot..." Sey would mutter as he hung his head down in disappointment. But only for the moment before placing it back up. "Sorry to disturb you for that Cyn, but we might be able to get to other chests later on. Anyways, I think we should depart for now, I'll get some pocket Col for the night. Sleep well, aight? We will hunt another day."

  6. The beast seemed to have him leveled down, it's speed was much faster than he had expected. However, it did not seem to want to get out of the way, so Sey had to defend himself somehow. So he held up his spear in an attempt to block, but to no avail as he would end up being launched high in the air for making such an attempt. Well, it was a nice try, but he needed to escape quickly. His health was not too questionable right now, so that was in his favor. However, he knows that that could change extremely quickly if he let it. Still, fighting back only made it harder to make the escape. So once he landed on his soles once again, he made the run in an attempt to bail out, still in a good enough condition to get out of there. Hopefully he was able to get out... The pig was not looking too happy with him existing on it's plane. And if he had better equipment, he would have struck back harder.

  7. With this, he would continue to move on. He would have gone regardless if she came or not, this was something he felt like he knew about pretty well. With this, he would move out of the safe zone, spear in hand for sure, but not for the monsters. Something was nearby for the both of them, something that he felt brought good fortune. He moved around slowly, waiting for it to spawn, he was gaining an idea for what it might be. This game truly did have everything if he were right. How did he now about this? This was what the games he played in the past did to him, so he was able to detail certain areas where spawn points would be made. "Look around for a treasure chest, they seem to be around. They are rare based on the games I played in the past, but can promise us something dope. Just trust me on this one." So the hunt was on, he was more than excited for the loot.

  8. So he was about to head back towards the city, only until he ended up getting caught by one of the NPC monsters that were in the fields. A classic one as well, a pig. Pigs were rather annoying, since they hit pretty hard against a player. Did he dare try his luck against it? No, it was a bad idea. One victory was enough as it is, and he could only get lucky so many times. If anything, the last thing he needed was a fight. Not until he was able to get a new armor and add a bit more damage resistance to it. With that, he would have to make a plan on getting out of the battle... But this would require a bit of patience. It was not going to stirke first if he went slowly... Right? Bad move for sure, after the first few steps, it would already charge. Well shoot, looks like he ended up in a battle. And he needed to make sure that he won it as well. His energy seemed decent enough, perhaps he was able to go for round two. But... Wait, no. That was a stupid idea. This was not a quest monster... It could be anything. So aiming to beat it was a terrible idea. So he made his attempt to run.

  9. Now he knew that he needed to attack, while it was in the air for him to get a free hit. Now was the time to aim for a blow, and the only other art other than the strike was the bite. The Snake's bite. It was going to be nasty for the opponent, but it was going to be more than satisfying to the player. His spear would emit a little aura, one that can't be seen, but he felt the warm of it through the handle of the weaponry as his eyes locked onto the airborne Dark Elf. Jumping up into the air, he made his aim to strike at the neck, which required a good amount of accuracy to pull off. But he felt it, his luck has been reborn in this fight. So he made it up into the air, spear held up high over his head, held by the right hand. With that, he would slam the tip of the spear onto the neck once, causing it to flinch in the air. The second strike left no openings due to it's high-speed pace. However, he placed all the force and weight of his being behind it, causing the both of them to fall towards the ground.

Not only was the battle done, but it had been done quickly. Those moments where he had been training, they had paid off for sure. Nothing about his equipment had been changed in the slightest, the most that changed what his knowledge and what he saw in combat. The moments he spent, even while not in the group that he had been offered, they were more than worth it. And that was with the starter equipment, there was a lot more to do in the world for this player. Sey was more than excited as he ended up receiving the material that he did. Placing it into his inventory, he would end up having it shatter. To confirm that it was there, he would place his pointer finger over the inventory section before then seeing the material there out of his limited number of slots. What a beautiful sight for him, and what a beautiful fight for him in the end. This was the start for real... It was so sweet.

  10. The plan was to play defensively until his opponent made a dastardly dangerous move that would cost it the battle. And so it would continue to lash out at him in a nasty flurry of blows, aiming for his chests as he had noticed. This only gave him the choice to leap instead of just moving one target area before countering. A smarter NPC for sure, but it did not get any hits in. Not any in the slightest, which meant he could avoid dying for the moment. Just as long as he kept this little dance going, nothing needed to be feared. However, he did need to get some hits in eventually, so this pattern can't be kept up for too long. So he took a chance, using the range of the spear to swing upwards towards the leaping NPC... And the result was surprisingly in his favor. Again, not a Sword Art had been used, since he was not expecting success. If anything, he just expected the enemy to shift gears... But no, it was a successful swing, causing it to fly in the air.

  11. Sweet, they were now on much fairer terms, exchanging damage. This was how Sey wanted to keep the battle, exchanging their blows. Seeing how much damage he can inflict onto the Dark Elf, he felt that he had the one up on it since the health and damage ratio were both in the favor of the player. His poor choices and lack of confidence as well as a subtle amount of lacking bad luck got him in trouble last time. But this time, he was much more prepared. The Dark Elf lashed out again to slash at him, but the spearwielder was ready for the attack, narrowly moving to the side by hopping once, letting the "shing" of the opponents blade hit nothing but hollow air. Using the tip of the spear to hit the ground, he would make sure not to slide against the grass. Control was key, he must make sure that not a single moment of time had been wasted. He just needed to wait for a chance to strike.

  12. He would continue to venture slowly through the  forest, eyes locked sharply all around him as he felt the presence of the being nearing. Like a hunter, it was waiting for the prey to fall into the trap. But if the prey were fully aware of the situation, what could the predator to prevent what could happen to it? So he was aiming to "fall" for the trap by walking the same path he did last time. This was a sneak attack, so avoiding it was something that could not be prevented. But capitalizing the moment was something he most certainly can do. So he'd place out his spear before it happened... The Dark Elf struck from behind once again by leaping with a sharp blade in it's hand. It slashed down onto him successfully, but instead of flinching forward from the attack like last time, he locked his soles of his feet against the ground, clenching his teeth tightly from the pain to be endured. With this, a desperate sharp stab would make it's attempt to emit to the chest of the NPC... Which resulted in succession in the end. He could not use a Sword Art since the enemy attacked him suddenly, too suddenly to give him time to react, but at least he was able to land a sharp pierce.

  13. So with this, he would aim to get out of the safe zone. At this time, he felt total comfort with getting out of the borders with a confident half smile on his face. In fact, he'd even whistle to keep himself calm from the tension of the wanting to place his spear through the virtual body of his opponent. It was a tempting move to slash it even while it was shattered into nothing but pieces of data, but he knew that it would do nothing. So he'd continue on with that thought out of his mind as he would begin to exit the fields and enter the forest where the dark elf would be located. Did he need to talk to the NPCs first? Not after he already did that, he got the information he needed, he just needed to get the material for their heavy armor. That was the drop item for the quest, so that was what he had his eyes set on. Placing his spear out, he would prepare himself to defend any incoming sneak attacks, feeling much more prepared.

  14. Why had he not gone hunting yet like he said he would if he had leveled up? Four seemed appropriate, a number that was more than willing to allow him to advance further in the world without much harm. Perhaps because he did not have anything he needed, but after looking a little bit more into his things to see what he could and he could not do, he did notice that he was allowed to take on quests again if he had failed them. Another thing he noticed was that he had been gifted with a few Sword Arts to use... Which would have turned the losing battle he had into a winning battle if not a victory. All before his health dropped to zero, or five rather before he made a very lucky escape. However, there was a feeling injected into his nervous system... It was a thirst. It wanted to get back at the one that forced him to bail out from the scene and lose his chance of getting an armor. With his newfound knowledge, he felt that he had a better chance against it now.

  15. Seems like she had it well figured out, since she could move really fast before striking. Perhaps there was a term for this that he could relate this to. Like Glass Cannon. DPS sounded weird, was that really the popular name for the build in the game? Apparently it was, according to Cyn, an equal-leveled player. "Hey, if you can end them first, they can't quite hit ya now can they?" The player would tell her before then placing his available left palm inside of his pocket. "I'm going to focus on damage and mitigation mainly for the balance build, so that in a boss fight, I can take a few hits ya know." With that, he would make his way over to the door of the shop before opening it. There was one more thing that he would like to do, and maybe he can share it with this being. Cyn might like it, since he felt rather lucky about it. "Come with me, there is something that I feel is nearby, and I am feeling rather lucky." Business normally got done through a whim.

  16. The purpose of the luck build would be to find the items needed in order to make his balance build. It was a little formula, though it required a bit of time and patience. His ending result will have enhanced luck for sure, but not to the point where he can't defend himself in combat against... Say... Another player. Cyn would continue to speak about her plans and what she wanted to be, something called a DPS. Damage Per Second? That was the name of a build apparently, but her explanation of it made it sound much better. It's always effective, especially if she wanted to be a top fighter. "Well that's dope, so you can just wipe out enemies with only a few hits if you get your way, correct? DPS... It sounds interesting." With that, he would look over to his spear once again. It had little use right now compared to what other spears could do. But he knew one thing, it was going to guide him in his beginning steps. "It all just comes down to the right stuff. That's why I want to have luck, so I can get the drops I need."

  17. It did not take too long for him to react to the amount of col that Beatbox had... 100,000. The instant he heard that, he would instantly trip do to the sudden shock injected through his system. "You have WHAT!?" Come on, that was definitely worth a reaction. How does one end up getting so rich in the first place? Last time he checked, Sey had 200 Col from doing one quest. If one were to multiply that total by how many quests he had to do, that would result in... Well, it was definitely above 20 more quests, and he'll be honest, he did not have the time. "H-How did you even do that sort of thing!? 100,000... Like... You could buy whole shops until they are dry out of materials!"  Being a businessman, he did have an interest in money and anything that it could buy. He'll be honest, he was a little jealous, because that was a lot of Col for sure. At least he got to express how he felt about it. Much... Shock to put it in a simple turn.

  18. This man was just insanely humble, it was far too sweet for him to handle. Sey might die of diabetes just by being around Beatbox, this was too sweet for him to handle. "Well, only if you say so. I'll help you later on then if you ever need it then!" The player would announce before being given the option of fighting a mob or two, or talking while getting back to their home. While he would love to fight the monsters and gain their loot... He did not want to use this guy. After all, they did get a quest completed by this time, maybe it was the best for them to go home. Maybe he can invite him for another quest, or perhaps if Sey had any use, the other way around. Instead, he would tap Beatbox's player icon before then sending over a friend request. "I don't see you as a tool for taking on monsters and gaining loot from them. Let's just chat and go back to the safe zone. I definitely do wonder about the guild. Celestial Ascendants, was it?"

  19. The pitiful displayed that Sey put up against a battle with this being was painful enough to witness as it was. On top of that, it was a confirmed critical hit as well, meaning that there was little to no more space in damage that he was able to inflict. This shamed the player a bit, but this shame was increased after once a sudden strike would cut the health bar of the monster down all the way to a nasty-looking empty bar, ending the life of the boss monster... And adding the bonus SP and an item into his inventory. "That's... Insane..." He would remark to the downfall of the being. Only to be invited to take on some mobs or something along those lines, which was more than enticing. This player could really help him gather some good loot, not that the quest was not good enough as it is, but this was a chance indeed. However... "I'd love to, anything I can do right now in return? Or later perhaps?"

  20. The winds and the sand seemed to calm down extremely as it felt more just like the wind, and in a gentle breeze as well. A nice refreshing amount of wind, though a few specks of sand were within it, none of it wanted to attack him. It did make him reflect a bit on the situation at hand. He was just being carried through this task, which panged a bit of guilt into him all of a sudden. Was there nothing that he could do? Then again, his body was very fragile to the outside world around him, if he were to make a mistake and challenge the winds... He might end up falling a victim to it. While he would love to pierce his assault spear through the body of the field boss, he was to stand still and hope for the best against the weather. So far, it did not seem to mistreat him, so that was in his favor. It might intensify again however, so he must be prepared regardless of the situation currently. So he held his own for the remainder of the fight, only for it to end so quickly...

  21. It was an interesting idea, but he really wanted to balance himself so no openings were left behind. "I gotcha, which is why I probably will be maining attack and defense. I just need to have a little of everything else, to leave no corners left uncut, right?" Sey would explain before the sudden appearance of the final boss. Avalanche, the field boss for this quest. It did not take too long for him to place out his assault spear, though he was not too sure how long it was going to last him in this battle. The ice being was huge compared to the two of them, so he was not sure if he would make so much as a dent onto it. Still however, he must give it a shot. "Gotcha, Beatbox!" With that, he would rush towards the monster with a lot of confidence, leaping up at it with the weapon held up high behind his head before slamming it down onto the head, obtaining a critical hit in the process... But... It did not even seem to do so much as a dent. How nice...

  22. Sweet, it looks like he was going to have to find a bit of Col through the small quests. None of them could be too hard, or so he would hope. With that, he would place his palms in his pockets as he would think a bit, perhaps those quests could get him straight to the point. Maybe he did not need to rely on luck to get the col, but the quests. Then again, they might need him to gain a bit of luck before he took them, so he once again should go back to scouting. However, how long can he hold up something like that? No, he needed to defend himself for sure. "Sounds dope enough to me, can't quite take too long if I can just talk my way through it. I plan to make a perfectly balanced build, so I'm sure many quests have a part of what I am looking for on top of Col anyways." He'd explain to her before then looking down for the moment, thinking out loud. "And I don't think it will be too easy to get it all together."

  23. So they WERE connected. Seem the base of the guild was a lot bigger in the world of Aincrad than he had expected, which was definitely a plus. Perhaps he stumbled upon the right guild on accident, but the accident was most certainly worth it. "I did hear about Kasier, Hikoru, and Itzal!" And because Beatbox mentioned those names, Sey had no reason to doubt him being in that guild. "Jonathan told me to find the other Paladins, so Kasier and Itzal are left then, eh?" Now he was more than just curious, a bit of excitement rushing through his veins before approaching the topic of builds. There were plenty of scouts... More than he had been expecting actually. If this were the case... He did not need to aim for scout at all. "I can't say I am aiming for DPS. I don't think any of those builds are what I'm building. I'm aiming for my own... Though I doubt there is a name for it yet. I called it "Adapter" when I talked to Jonathan. Basically, I specialize in all builds, but don't master any. I inflict decent damage, but not an insane amount. I have an okay amount of mitigation, but not an insane amount. I have some healing, I ha- He cut himself off before he went on to rant about himself for too long. With that, he would then smirk upon the ending of the last remark. Was there a special one? "Pfft, don't think of doing that yet man. I can eventually scounge up some col in time!"
